MWM Chapter 245

This entry is part 246 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

Two years ago, Blood God Child had schemed to capture Lotus Immortal and the newly-formed Lingzhi spirit, hoping to take them both for himself. Everything had gone according to plan, but in the final moments, a Foundation Establishment cultivator named Li Qingfeng ambushed him, forcing him into a humiliating defeat.

After nursing his wounds, Blood God Child couldn’t swallow his anger and returned to Drunken Immortal Cliff, only to find it deserted. Later, rumors from Emei disciples who had ventured down the mountain informed him that Lotus Immortal and Li Qingfeng had gone to Emei.

Emei was full of powerful cultivators, including the legendary Bai Mei Zhenren, who could crush him with a single blow. It was not a place where he could act recklessly, so he bided his time, waiting for the right opportunity.

There were also rumors that Li Qingfeng had not only defeated Blood God Child but had also killed Elder Nantong of the Xuanyin Sect. Blood God Child then sought out Yin Jiutian, the current head of the Xuanyin Sect, at Jin Xing Gorge in the South Sea.

A few days ago, news came to Blood God Child that Li Qingfeng had left Emei and returned to his sect, Xiaozhu Mountain. Seizing the opportunity, he teamed up with Yin Jiutian to exact revenge and destroy the entire sect.

Under normal circumstances, they wouldn’t dare act so brazenly, as wiping out a sect could provoke a fierce retaliation from the righteous path. But soon, Blood God Child’s master, the Blood Demon Patriarch, would initiate his grand plan.

The entire righteous path would be wiped out, and the world would fall under the control of the demonic cultivators. There would be no need to fear retribution from righteous cultivators.

Moreover, a small sect like Xiaozhu Mountain could be eradicated without anyone noticing for a long time.

Unfortunately, as soon as they arrived at Xiaozhu Mountain, they were blocked by the “Tianyuan Thirty-Six Divine Bamboo Formation,” an ancient and powerful barrier. Who would have thought that such a small sect would not only produce a cultivator like Li Qingfeng but also have such formidable protection?

Even working together, the two demonic cultivators knew they couldn’t break through the ancient formation. Left with no other choice, they waited patiently, hoping to catch Li Qingfeng when he left the mountain.

While waiting, their disciples reported that they had spotted Xiaozhu Mountain’s sect leader, Daoist Qingzhu, searching for his eldest disciple, Li Qingfeng, who had been missing for two years.

Upon receiving this news, Blood God Child and Yin Jiutian immediately captured Daoist Qingzhu. With him as a hostage, not only could they force him to deactivate the formation, but they could also use him to make Li Qingfeng hesitate.

“What are you two planning?” Daoist Qingzhu, now released from the Sumeru Cauldron high above Xiaozhu Mountain, saw the situation and his expression darkened. He couldn’t understand why two notorious demonic cultivators, the Blood God Child of the Blood Demon Sect and Yin Jiutian, the head of the Xuanyin Sect, were targeting his small sect.

“What are we planning?” Blood God Child sneered. “We’re here to settle accounts with your precious disciple, Li Qingfeng. Be smart and deactivate this formation, or I’ll have to resort to less pleasant methods.”

Daoist Qingzhu swallowed nervously and quickly explained, “I think there’s been a misunderstanding. My disciple is also named Li Qingfeng, but he’s only at the mid-Foundation Establishment stage. He’s not the same Li Qingfeng from Emei. I’m sure this is just a mix-up.”

Although the righteous path and the demonic path were always at odds, Daoist Qingzhu knew better than to provoke two immensely powerful demonic cultivators. Whether for his sake or for the survival of his sect, he had to tread carefully. And perhaps, it really was just a misunderstanding.

However, Blood God Child merely shook his head. “No mistake. Your disciple is the very same Li Qingfeng who killed Elder Nantong of the Xuanyin Sect and ambushed me alongside the Cloud Seven, ruining my plans.

Afterward, he was invited to Emei to train with them. He left Emei half a month ago and returned here, to Xiaozhu Mountain. He’s right inside.”

Daoist Qingzhu was dumbfounded. **Li Qingfeng—the one who killed a Xuanyin Sect elder and defeated the Blood God Child—is really my disciple?** He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

His own disciple, who had always been so humble, had somehow risen to such great heights.

Not only had he crossed paths with such fearsome opponents, but he’d even been invited by the famed Cloud Seven to train at Emei.

But just as excitement flooded his face, a chilling realization set in as he glanced at the two demonic cultivators before him. **Xiaozhu Mountain isn’t rising to glory—it’s facing extinction.**

“Disciple, oh disciple, you’ve become so powerful. But why didn’t you keep a low profile? How are we supposed to deal with these two demonic overlords now?” Daoist Qingzhu thought, panic rising in his chest.

Blood God Child cut his thoughts short with a harsh command. “Daoist Qingzhu, deactivate the Tianyuan Thirty-Six Divine Bamboo Formation and hand over Li Qingfeng. If you comply, I’ll spare you and your sect. If not, I’ll slaughter every last one of you!”

Daoist Qingzhu glanced down at Xiaozhu Mountain below him, then, to the demonic cultivators’ surprise, he straightened his back, a cold smile forming on his face. “You think a righteous Daoist like me will ever listen to scum like you? Dream on!”

Li Qingfeng was Xiaozhu Mountain’s hope for the future. With him, the sect had the potential to rise to prominence. If he reached the Earth Immortal stage, Xiaozhu Mountain could become one of the top sects in the righteous path.

As for the words of demonic cultivators, how could they be trusted? Opening the formation would only lead to the annihilation of the entire sect. His only chance was to provoke them into killing him while the formation still held, thus keeping the sect protected.

But Blood God Child seemed to have anticipated this defiance. He smirked and turned to Yin Jiutian. “Brother, it seems we’ll have to do things the hard way.”

“No problem,” Yin Jiutian chuckled darkly as he stepped forward, his hands forming a seal. “For a mere Golden Core cultivator, making him obedient is child’s play.”

He chanted as five streams of black mist shot out from him, transforming into ghostly women. They flew into Daoist Qingzhu’s eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.

“Ahhh!” Daoist Qingzhu screamed in agony, his face contorted with veins bulging. Ten seconds later, his expression went blank. His eyes turned pitch black, and ghostly faces occasionally flickered in his pupils.

“Deactivate the formation,” Yin Jiutian commanded.

Daoist Qingzhu, now a puppet, nodded mechanically. His hands moved into a spell, sending a streak of green light toward the formation protecting Xiaozhu Mountain. The light hit the barrier, and immediately, a path to the sect opened, revealing the valley within.

“Hahaha! Li Qingfeng, you’re finished!” Blood God Child roared in triumph as his blood river surged forward, enveloping the valley. “I will tear your soul apart and use your entire sect to fuel my blood river. From this day forward, there will be no more Xiaozhu Mountain, and no more Li Qingfeng!”

After two years of seething rage, his thirst for vengeance would finally be quenched.
