MWM Chapter 247

This entry is part 248 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Second Form, activate! Sage Mode, activate! Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!”

Seeing the situation, Leo immediately transformed into his second form. Then, by fusing the true energy from his golden core with chakra, he entered Sage Mode and performed the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu. However, this time, he only summoned ten shadow clones instead of his maximum capacity.

In Sage Mode, Leo could summon up to 2,000 shadow clones, and each one was significantly stronger than before. If he revealed his full power right away, he would have scared Blood God Child off. Since Daoist Qingzhu was still in their hands, he couldn’t afford to show his trump cards right from the start.

Although Daoist Qingzhu didn’t mean much to him personally, Leo had benefited from his disciple status, having taken advantage of that title to study nearly all the techniques stored in Xiaozhu Mountain’s library over the past few weeks.

If possible, he wanted to save Qingzhu. After all, it was his actions that brought this mess, and he didn’t want Xiaozhu Mountain to suffer for it.

“Only ten clones? Seems like you’re weak without any help. Your strength is nothing,” Blood God Child taunted, seeing Leo summon only a small number of clones.

“The quantity might be lower, but the quality has vastly improved. Better be careful, or you’ll end up running like last time when I zapped you!” Leo shot back with a smirk, his words sharp. He ordered his ten shadow clones to form hand seals simultaneously.

“Sage Art: Super Lightning Style False Darkness!”

In an instant, multiple purple lightning spears materialized in midair, shooting directly toward the blood river. As the spears collided with the river, large swathes of it evaporated instantly. The purple lightning was clearly far more potent than the blue lightning he had used two years ago.

This time, there was no sign of exhaustion after eight or nine shots. The lightning spears continued firing in rapid succession, like a machine gun, keeping the blood river firmly suppressed above the valley.

When Leo used many shadow clones, their chakra was distributed more thinly. While their combined attacks were powerful, they lacked endurance. Now, with only ten clones, each clone had much more chakra—especially given his recent physical upgrades and Sage Mode. This made his attacks far more sustainable.

In the meantime, Leo himself wasn’t idle. He took out his magic wand and cast *Incendio*, aiming a wave of fire at the blood river. Although fire wasn’t as effective against the blood river as lightning, it still helped reduce its strength and served to obscure his enemy’s view.

From above, Blood God Child noticed Leo marked improvement and discreetly signaled to Yin Jiutian. Yin Jiutian, taking advantage of the ongoing clash, quietly moved away with Daoist Qingzhu, staying out of sight as much as possible. Meanwhile, he stealthily released the Great Sumeru Black Yin Cauldron.

Under his control, the cauldron shrank to the size of a thumb and circled around to the back of the valley, slipping through some houses until it reached Leo position.

“It’s over—capture him!” Yin Jiutian muttered as he activated the cauldron. The small cauldron instantly expanded, releasing a beam of black light that swallowed Leo, who was too focused on casting fire spells to notice its approach.

Not taking any chances, Yin Jiutian didn’t relax after capturing Leo. He quickly directed the cauldron to absorb the remaining shadow clones, ensuring none of them could fight back.

“Ha! Did you really believe I would keep my word and not interfere? You righteous cultivators are so naive!” Blood God Child sneered triumphantly as the cauldron sealed away Leo.

“Senior Brother!” Ming Yue and the other disciples cried out in horror as they saw Leo disappear into the black cauldron. The three senior uncles, furious and indignant, summoned their weapons, shouting:

“How dare you, demonic scum! We’ll fight you to the death, no matter how infamous you are!”

Seeing this, Blood God Child laughed darkly and turned to Yin Jiutian. “Junior Brother, let’s capture them all. We’ll take them back and make Li Qingfeng watch as I slowly flay his entire sect alive, one by one.”

“That’s easy enough!” Yin Jiutian responded with a grin. He began channeling energy into the Great Sumeru Black Yin Cauldron, directing it toward Ming Yue and the others.

However, before the cauldron could absorb them, it began to shake violently, as if something explosive had been dropped inside. The shaking grew more intense with every passing moment.

“Impossible! Even Nascent Soul-level cultivators can’t break free from my cauldron’s restraints! How could this be?” Yin Jiutian’s face paled. He quickly tried to suppress the cauldron, but despite his efforts, it continued to shake uncontrollably. The backlash from his struggling cauldron even caused his own true energy to become unstable.

“Watch your back!” Blood God Child suddenly shouted from a distance. Yin Jiutian barely had time to sense the surge of energy behind him before something struck him with terrifying force. His entire body was obliterated in an instant, crushed by the immense power.

“How could this be? Who attacked me?” These were Yin Jiutian’s final thoughts as his consciousness faded. He had believed Leo was trapped in the cauldron, yet someone had managed to sneak up and kill him so effortlessly.

“Did you really think I didn’t know about the Great Sumeru Black Yin Cauldron?”

Leo calmly deactivated the Eight Gates Release and the Explosive Tag Barrage technique, having used them to destroy Yin Jiutian. He then grabbed the still-dazed Daoist Qingzhu and tossed him to Ming Yue and the others below.

“Uncles, seal the Thirty-Six Divine Bamboo Formation! It’s time to close the gates and deal with this intruder!”

As it turned out, when Yin Jiutian revealed his name, Leo immediately recognized him as the wielder of the Great Sumeru Black Yin Cauldron. Leo had learned about it from his conversations with the sword cultivators at Emei. While others might have been caught off guard, Leo was prepared.

“You can’t be too careful in a world this dangerous,” Leo muttered as he prepared for the final battle against Blood God Child.
