- MWM Chapter 250
“This is the entrance to the Xuan Yin Sect. There’s a defensive barrier, but it won’t be able to stop you,” Blood God Child said with a flattering smile, pointing at a cave entrance about three meters wide, deep within a cliff in the Golden Star Gorge.
“After Whitebrow annihilated the Xuan Yin Sect’s patriarch, Yin Jiutian and the remaining disciples found this underground location rich in spiritual energy and made it their new sect headquarters. The entrance barrier was set by Yin Jiutian himself, but it can only block cultivators below the mid-Nascent Soul stage.”
“Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!”
Leo nodded in acknowledgment, activated Sage Mode, and instantly summoned two thousand shadow clones.
“Sage Art: Super Thunder Style—False Darkness!”
All two thousand clones unleashed a barrage of purple lightning spears at the entrance. With a loud explosion, the barrier at the cave entrance was torn apart like paper, and the entrance expanded from three meters wide to a hundred.
Not wanting to give the Xuan Yin Sect time to react, Leo and his two thousand clones rushed into the cave, launching a full-scale attack on the sect hidden within.
“Ugh, what the hell… that’s disgusting!” After rushing through the hundred-meter tunnel, the area opened up, revealing a massive underground space. But what lay before him made Leo grimace.
At the end of the tunnel, there was a large cavern the Xuan Yin Sect had carved out with their magic. Besides the grandiose palaces, the most notable features were the pools. But these weren’t ordinary pools filled with water—they were filled with people, naked and writhing like maggots, regardless of age or gender.
What might have seemed alluring at first glance was quickly revealed to be nauseating upon closer inspection. The pools’ grotesque and vile details explained why Leo felt so repulsed.
“Who dares trespass into our Xuan Yin Sect!” Two Golden Core-stage elders flew out of the central hall, brandishing their magical treasures. But when they saw the sky full of Leo clones, they froze in shock.
“Disgusting. Kill them all.”
Leo, too disgusted to waste words, ordered his shadow clones to unleash their jutsu and annihilate every member of the Xuan Yin Sect.
The thunder jutsu that could take down a mid-Nascent Soul like Blood God Child was far beyond what these Golden Core-stage demonic cultivators could resist. In less than a quarter of an hour, every Xuan Yin Sect member, including the two elders, was reduced to charred remains.
Only about a dozen usable magical treasures survived the carnage, which Leo casually collected.
“Where are their technique manuals stored?”
After dismissing his clones, Leo turned to Blood God Child and asked.
Under Blood God Child’s guidance, Leo quickly located the sect’s library and swept every manual into his storage pouch. He then resealed Blood God Child’s Nascent Soul into a scroll.
“Alright, now it’s time to head to Emei.”
After finishing his task, Leo used an Earth-style jutsu to bury the remains of the Xuan Yin Sect, retrieved his teleportation scroll, and returned to the nearby human town.
Using his teleportation magic, he swiftly left the town and leisurely flew toward Emei on his Red Flame Orb.
…
“Junior Brother Qingfeng, you’re back! Did you take care of everything at your sect?” Shangguan Qian, who was sitting in the pavilion at the peak of Flowing Cloud Peak, saw Leo land on his Red Flame Orb and flew over on her sword light.
Seeing her, Leo smiled as he put away his Red Flame Orb. “Not yet. Something came up, so I had to return early. By the way, Senior Sister, are you not cultivating today?”
Two years ago, each of the Cloud Seven had received a bottle of Yuan-Boosting Pills from Lotus Fairy. As a result, unless it was time for their monthly sword duels, they were usually in seclusion, absorbing the pills’ energy to prepare for forming their Nascent Souls.
Today wasn’t one of those duel days, so Shangguan Qian should have been in seclusion.
“Oh… well, I had some things to take care of, so I didn’t…” Shangguan Qian blushed, quickly coming up with an excuse.
Ever since Leo left Emei, she had been unable to focus on her cultivation, often sitting at the peak, waiting for his return. But, of course, she couldn’t say that out loud.
“Well, that works out. I need you to help me pass along a message. I have urgent news for Master Baimei. It concerns the Blood Demon Palace and the safety of Emei—it’s extremely urgent!”
Hearing that Emei was in danger, Shangguan Qian’s expression changed. She quickly put aside her feelings and flew toward the main peak in a flash of sword light.
“Wait here, Junior Brother. I’ll go inform Master right away.”
In about a quarter of an hour, Shangguan Qian returned, this time accompanied by Danchenzi, the first senior brother of Emei.
“Junior Brother Qingfeng, Master has agreed to see you. Let me take you there.”
“Thank you, Senior Brother Danchenzi.”
Leo nodded with a smile. Danchenzi placed a hand on Leo shoulder, and with a flutter of his flying blade wings, they were at the main peak’s hall in the blink of an eye.
“Li Qingfeng of Xiaozhu Mountain, greetings to Master Baimei!”
Seeing Baimei, who was seated cross-legged and floating in the air, Leo immediately bowed.
In this world, there were flying and levitation spells that didn’t require magical treasures, but only Golden Core-stage cultivators and above could learn them. Even then, flying with treasures was far faster than using the spell. Leo, having only recently reached the Golden Core stage, hadn’t had the chance to learn it yet.
“No need for formalities. You mentioned urgent news concerning the Blood Demon Palace and Emei’s safety. What is it?”
Master Baimei, with his kind and serene expression, showed no hint of arrogance despite Leo lower cultivation stage, nor did he flaunt his status as the head of the foremost righteous sect.
Leo respectfully replied, “From what I learned from Blood God Child, the Blood Demon Ancestor plans to attack Emei in three months and intends to wipe out the entire righteous path.”
“What? Is this true?” Baimei’s expression grew stern.
Leo then recounted his encounter with Blood God Child and Yin Jiutian, how they had ambushed him, and showed Baimei Yin Jiutian’s Great Sumeru Black Yin Cauldron as proof. He did, however, leave out the part where he had kept Blood God Child’s Nascent Soul alive and exterminated the entire Xuan Yin Sect. He simplified his story without those details.
Baimei didn’t care about those finer points. What mattered to him was that if the Blood Demon Ancestor dared to attack Emei in three months, it meant he had something up his sleeve. Baimei knew full well that without some hidden trump card, the Blood Demon Ancestor wouldn’t dare make such a move, as he wasn’t yet strong enough to defeat Baimei.
“Li Qingfeng, thank you for bringing this information to Emei. This news is of great importance to us.”
Baimei’s expression softened as he looked at Leo with admiration.
Leo had fought and defeated a Nascent Soul-stage enemy while still a Foundation Establishment cultivator. Now, newly in the Golden Core stage, he had already taken down two renowned Nascent Soul-stage demonic cultivators. His potential surpassed even Baimei’s in his youth.
Such a prodigy in the righteous path, even if not an Emei disciple, was something Baimei took great pride in. With the looming war between good and evil, having such a formidable talent on their side was a huge boon to the righteous sects.
