MWM Chapter 258 [End of Cultivation Arc]

This entry is part 259 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Ah… how could this happen?!”

Chishi Shenjun, who had been casting a powerful enchantment spell on Danchenzi, let out a piercing scream as she was struck by 2,001 *Avada Kedavra* curses. She was forced to revert to her true form, transforming into a seductive woman dressed in red.

Initially, she had believed that, given her power, any spell cast by a Core Formation cultivator would have little to no effect on her.

She had planned to pretend to be severely injured and near death, using the opportunity to gain Danchenzi’s sympathy. With a bit of luck, she could invade his body and take over his physical form.

After gaining control of Danchenzi, she could easily deal with the insignificant Core Formation cultivator afterward.

But what she hadn’t expected was that the spells from this Core Formation cultivator were so powerful that they directly wounded her soul, forcing her back into her true form.

It wasn’t entirely her fault for underestimating him. Leo had used magic, not typical techniques like *Fireball* or *Weather Curse*, which would have been more recognizable in this world. From her perspective, the incoming green light didn’t seem particularly threatening.

“How dare you, vile demon, act so recklessly!”

With Chishi Shenjun’s soul injured, her enchantment was interrupted, and Danchenzi, now fully aware, flew into a rage. The Flying Blade Wings behind him spun rapidly, transforming into two sharp blade wheels that swiftly sliced toward her.

Chishi Shenjun, being a demon who specialized in soul-related techniques, was already weaker than Danchenzi in terms of raw power. Now, with her soul gravely injured by Leo’s *Avada Kedavra*, she had no chance of evading Danchenzi’s full-force attack.

Her Earth Immortal body was instantly shredded into pieces by the flying blades, leaving only a sliver of her soul fleeing for safety.

Unfortunately for her, just as her weakened soul attempted to escape, a figure suddenly appeared, blocking her path.

“Senjutsu: Four Symbols Seal!”

Leo made hand signs, and four pitch-black chains, composed of sealing runes, flew out, wrapping around Chishi Shenjun’s soul and forcibly dragging it into a scroll Leo had prepared for this very moment.

Whether it was the Blood God Son from before or Chishi Shenjun now, both carried the knowledge of some of the most powerful sects in this world, making them highly valuable to Leo.

Righteous or demonic paths—it didn’t matter to him as long as it could increase his power.

The Blood Demon Palace’s foul blood, which could suppress treasures and most spells, and the Red Corpse Sect’s soul-invasion techniques for controlling physical bodies, were both highly fascinating. Even the dual cultivation techniques of Xuanyin Sect had their merits if used correctly.

Since he didn’t plan to stay in this world forever, learning these techniques and simply refraining from using them here would suffice.

Of course, demonic techniques often had mental side effects, so he would carefully evaluate them before practicing, remembering that power is power, and it shouldn’t control his mind.

“With such strength and such unique techniques, that flower demon was likely the Red Corpse Sect’s Chishi Shenjun. If not for your presence today, Junior Brother, I might have fallen for her trap.”

Seeing Leo use an unusual sealing technique to capture Chishi Shenjun’s fleeing soul, Danchenzi couldn’t help but feel a lingering fear.

Even with Leo’s warning, he had still felt sympathy for Chishi Shenjun under her enchantment. If it weren’t for Leo’s intervention, his carelessness might have led to disaster.

“Demonic cultivators are full of cunning tricks, Senior Brother. No need to dwell on it. We just need to remain more vigilant from now on.”

Leo tucked the sealed scroll into his small pouch and quickly changed the subject.

“Should we notify Zhenren about this?”

“Naturally, we must inform Master.”

Danchenzi nodded, sending out a special signal unique to Emei.

Moments later, Baimei’s phantom appeared above Panluo Valley.

“What happened, Danchenzi?”

“Master, the Red Corpse Sect’s Chishi Shenjun attempted to ambush us, but Junior Brother Qingfeng and I worked together to defeat her.”

Danchenzi respectfully reported the situation.

Baimei’s phantom nodded.

“Oh, is that so? Well done, my disciple. And Li Qingfeng, you did very well too. Keep guarding the area diligently. I’ll figure out a solution for Youquan soon.

Rest assured, everything is under my control.

For now, you both need to bear this burden, stand strong, and await my good news. Contact me if you need any assistance. That’s all.”

With those words, Baimei’s phantom dissipated.

Danchenzi blinked in confusion, a hint of doubt flickering across his face. He felt like his master’s tone was slightly different from usual. But out of respect, he quickly dismissed the thought.

Leo, however, wore a strange expression. He knew that the person who had just spoken wasn’t really Baimei anymore.

As it turned out, Baimei hadn’t avoided ascending to the higher realms—he had done so secretly, leaving only Xuanyuan informed. Xuanyuan had been impersonating Baimei to intimidate the demonic path and reassure the disciples.

“Well, this could actually be beneficial. Without Baimei around, things will be much easier to handle.”

Baimei’s ascension wasn’t bad news for Leo. With Baimei around, many things would have been difficult to accomplish later on.

Now that he had saved Danchenzi from being possessed by Chishi Shenjun, once Youquan was eventually slain, Danchenzi, as the eldest disciple and the one with the highest cultivation, would likely become the next head of Emei.

Given his relationship with Danchenzi, Leo would have much more room to maneuver in the future.

“It’s time to return.”

In Panluo Valley, Leo glanced at the countdown on his system panel, indicating that his time in the small world had ended. He placed the scrolls containing the sealed Blood God Son and Chishi Shenjun onto a nearby rock.

Suddenly, his mind went blank, and when he regained consciousness, he found himself back in the closet he used for training at his home in New York.

Four years had passed—it had been his longest time away from home.

Stepping out of the closet and into the bedroom, he saw Wanda still asleep. In this world’s time, he had spent the previous night with her, and she still hadn’t fully recovered.

After gently kissing Wanda, Leo returned to the closet, activating his Second Form and Sage Mode, and instantly creating a large number of shadow clones.

Back in Panluo Valley, with Danchenzi by his side, there had been many things he couldn’t do. But now that he was back in the main world, he no longer had to hold back.

He created 2,000 shadow clones: 1,000 to help craft small flying swords, 500 to practice sword techniques, 400 to study and research Xuanyin Sect’s techniques, and 100 to learn Xiaozhushan’s spells.

Meanwhile, Leo’s main body sat in meditation, replenishing his dantian’s true essence and his soul. Once his clones exhausted their chakra, he would create more, continuing this cheat-like training and learning process.

The shadow clone technique, as long as the body, mind, and spirit were strong enough to handle its side effects, was an extremely practical and valuable ninjutsu.

Its ability to aid in learning was unmatched.
