MWM Chapter 280

This entry is part 281 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“The tricky part is that this mission won’t be easy to complete!”

Closing the system panel, Leo couldn’t help but stroke his chin.

At first glance, this main quest might seem like it doesn’t require much combat, unlike his previous mission, where he had to directly kill a certain number of Chitauri soldiers.

However, Leo believed it was actually more difficult.

First of all, it’s 2011, and the *Guardians of the Galaxy* storyline won’t start for another three years. Apart from Gamora and Nebula, the whereabouts of the other members are completely unknown.

The universe is vast, and finding all of them won’t be an easy task.

Secondly, even if he knew the location of a few members, bringing them together to form the Guardians wouldn’t be simple.

The first challenge is Mantis. If nothing has changed, she’s currently on Ego’s planet, using her powers daily to help Ego sleep.

To take her, Leo would have to deal with Ego first, and Ego, a Celestial, is on the same level as Odin and the Ancient One. Leo wasn’t strong enough to face him yet.

Next, Adam Warlock and Cosmo the Space Dog are with the Collector. Although Leo could probably figure out a way to get them, Adam Warlock is still in an egg and won’t hatch for at least another ten years.

He couldn’t possibly delay a main quest’s advanced completion for over a decade.

Finally, Phyla-Vell, likely created by the High Evolutionary, is probably still a baby—or might not have even been created yet.

“I guess I’ll aim for intermediate completion instead.”

After pondering for a while, Leo made his decision.

Sure, advanced completion was great—he’d immediately gain a Bronze Cloth and a Bronze Saint’s training and experience with the Cosmos, helping him integrate into the system quickly.

But delaying over ten years in the main world for the advanced completion was definitely not a wise choice.

In the same amount of time, main-world time was far more valuable than small-world time because he could always earn more small-world time by completing tasks. It wasn’t necessary to enter a small world.

But the main world was different—once his small-world time ran out, he would be forced to move forward.

So, rather than wasting over a decade of main-world time, choosing intermediate completion was the optimal solution. Entering the small world as a Bronze Saint trainee wouldn’t take long before he could earn a full Bronze Cloth.

In terms of cost-effectiveness, this was the better choice.

Just like when he entered the *Wizarding World*, he didn’t obsess over achieving advanced completion but opted for intermediate completion instead.

Had he fixated on advanced completion back then, he might have just met the requirements to enter the Wizarding World now, and his strength would be far behind where it currently was.

As it stood, he had already entered the Xianxia world as well.

Sometimes, pursuing perfection and craving the best start can waste a lot of time, which is not always the wisest decision.

Leo was a rational person. He cared about efficiency, and given the current difficulty and conditions of the quest, intermediate completion was the best solution.

Primary completion wasn’t hard—just gathering the members.

The main challenge for intermediate completion would be Mantis. But he didn’t necessarily need to confront Ego directly—stealing Mantis away would work just fine.

In reality, Gamora and Nebula would have been tough as well, since at this point in time, they were still loyal daughters of Thanos, fighting on various planets for him.

However, due to the butterfly effect and his foresight, Leo had already recruited them into his fold.

“Since the system panel is available now, let’s head to the *Naruto* world first!”

Having made his decision, Leo reopened the system panel, found the *Naruto* world section, set a time of six months, and clicked the “enter” button.

There were still many valuable things in the *Naruto* world that he hadn’t acquired yet: the Rinnegan, the Sharingan, and some highly effective jutsu.

Before, due to his strength limitations, he had to be cautious in his plans.

But now, his power had significantly increased since his last visit. This time, with six months, he planned to obtain everything that could benefit him.

……

The scene shifted, and after five or six years, Leo returned to the *Naruto* world.

The last time he left, facing Kage-level opponents still gave him some pressure. But after returning to the Wizarding World, entering a new Xianxia world, and growing stronger in the main world, he was now comfortably beyond Kage-level strength.

And not just by a small margin.

“Hey, just finished training?”

In the courtyard of the royal residence, Zabuza and Haku were sitting on the wooden porch, discussing some issues from their recent sparring session. A voice suddenly sounded behind them, startling both into instinctively drawing their weapons—Zabuza with his executioner’s blade and Haku with a flurry of senbon needles.

As ninjas, being approached without even sensing it was terrifying—it meant that if the intruder wanted to kill them, they’d have no time to react.

So, upon hearing the voice behind them, they didn’t even bother to check—they just reacted with their strongest attacks.

Leo watched calmly as Zabuza and Haku attacked reflexively, showing no sign of fear.

With his left hand, he effortlessly pinched Zabuza’s executioner’s blade between his thumb and index finger, and with his right, he blurred into motion, catching all of Haku’s senbon needles in an instant.

“Prince, it’s you! You gave us quite a scare!”

Seeing that it was Leo, Haku sighed in relief.

Leo smiled and released Zabuza’s blade.

“Sorry for startling you. I’m heading to Konoha soon. If you need to reach me, have Kino send someone to Konoha to inform me.”

With that, he didn’t linger and swiftly left the courtyard.

After Leo left, Zabuza slowly sheathed his executioner’s blade, narrowing his eyes and muttering to himself:

“That guy is getting more terrifying by the day.”

Back in the Land of Waves, when Leo sparred with him, they were evenly matched.

But now, less than six months had passed, and Zabuza hadn’t even sensed him approaching. Moreover, he hadn’t held back with that attack, yet Leo had effortlessly stopped his blade with two fingers.

What did that mean? It meant that if they fought again, Zabuza would likely be killed in an instant.

And that’s not even counting the strange jutsu Leo had used during his fight with Danzo in Konoha.

“Lord Zabuza, as long as we don’t stand against the Prince, he’s our friend.”

Haku, noticing the cold sweat forming on Zabuza’s forehead, gently comforted him.

Zabuza nodded in agreement.

“True, the stronger he becomes, the more it benefits us. Who knows? He might actually help me reclaim control of the Mist Village.”
