- MWM Chapter 348
The next morning, the plane landed, and Leo and Seiya arrived in the city where the Galaxian Wars were being held.
“I’m back! This time, I will take back everything that belongs to me. Sister, I’m no longer the helpless child I once was!”
Seiya stood on the bustling street, staring at the posters advertising the Galaxian Wars plastered everywhere. Clenching his fists, he couldn’t help but shout aloud.
Six years ago, he and his sister had been forcibly separated and sent to Greece. At the age of seven, there was no way he could resist Mitsumasa Kido, the world’s richest man with immense power.
But now, he was a powerful Saint capable of throwing supersonic punches. The forces of the mortal world could no longer stand in his way, and he had the strength to take his sister back from the Kido Foundation.
As for the Galaxian Wars, he had no obligation to participate.
“Look at this guy—Seiya, six years ago, fought to save his sister… Wait, you think this is some kind of revenge story?”
Leo shook his head, amused at Seiya’s triumphant declaration.
Throughout history, the Pegasus Saints were always Athena’s most loyal followers, and this generation was no different. Seiya might be fuming at the Kido Foundation now, swearing up and down that he wouldn’t join the Galaxian Wars, but Leo was sure that once Seiya met Saori Kido, a few words would make him change his mind.
“Taxi!”
Leo waved down a cab, grabbed Seiya by the collar, and shoved him into the car.
“Alright, let’s get to business.”
“Ouch, Brother Leo, take it easy. Why does it feel like you’re even stronger than Cassios?” Seiya grumbled from the backseat.
Without igniting his Cosmos, Seiya couldn’t even muster the strength to resist when Leo tossed him into the cab.
“I’m seven years older than you. Isn’t it normal for me to be stronger?” Leo replied, sitting in the front seat. Then he gestured toward Seiya. “Tell the driver where we’re headed.”
“To the Kido family mansion.”
Seiya instinctively followed the instruction, only to realize something felt off. But before he could protest, Leo’s question had already redirected his attention.
After all, Seiya was only thirteen years old. He had spent his early years in an orphanage and the last seven years in the Sanctuary, so aside from his combat skills, he was pretty much clueless about everything else. His battle instincts and talent might be exceptional, but when compared to Leo, who had lived two lifetimes and experienced several different worlds, Seiya’s worldly wisdom and emotional intelligence were sorely lacking.
That’s why, whenever Seiya interacted with Leo, he felt comfortable and quickly grew to see him as a close friend. Little did he know, Leo had completely figured him out.
“You head inside. I’ll wait for you out here.”
When the taxi stopped in front of a luxurious mansion, Leo stayed behind, letting Seiya go in alone.
He had no interest in meeting Athena like this. Such an appearance wouldn’t have much impact, and his real goal was the Sagittarius Gold Cloth. To truly obtain it, he needed Athena’s approval.
The eighty-eight Cloths were all created with Athena’s involvement, and they were akin to magical artifacts, possessing a certain level of sentience. Without the approval of the Cloth itself, Athena, or its previous owner, the Cloth wouldn’t function as more than just an ordinary golden armor. It wouldn’t enhance the wearer’s abilities at all.
In the original story, even though Ikki briefly wore the Sagittarius Cloth, it was so uncooperative that Seiya, without a Cloth, was able to break it apart with a single kick.
Similarly, Cancer Deathmask and Gemini Saga were both abandoned by their Gold Cloths because of their evil deeds and blasphemy against Athena.
So, forcefully taking the Sagittarius Gold Cloth wouldn’t guarantee it would work. The Cloth’s previous owner, Aiolos, was dead, and Leo doubted he had the pure-hearted nature needed to gain the Cloth’s direct approval. That left only Athena’s blessing as an option.
Since that was the case, he needed to make his entrance in a way that would leave a lasting impression on Athena, something impactful—he certainly wasn’t going to show up as Seiya’s sidekick.
Half an hour later, Seiya returned to the taxi, but the box containing his Pegasus Cloth was nowhere to be seen.
“Seiya, where’s your Cloth?” Leo asked.
“Uh, I left it at the mansion. I’ve decided to participate in the Galaxian Wars,” Seiya admitted, scratching his head awkwardly. He then recounted what had happened inside.
Originally, he had planned to confidently leave with his sister Seika, but he found out that she had run away from the orphanage after he was sent to Greece. She had been missing ever since, and no one knew where she had gone.
The world was vast, and Seiya had no idea where to begin looking for his sister, who had been gone for six years.
Saori Kido had promised him that if he won the Galaxian Wars, she would use the resources of the Kido Foundation to search for Seika in every country. So, he had handed over his Cloth and agreed to compete.
“You’ll find her, and if you participate in the Galaxian Wars, which are being broadcast globally, your sister might see you. Maybe once the competition is over, she’ll come find you herself.”
Leo smiled, encouraging Seiya.
Hearing this, Seiya’s eyes lit up.
“Brother Leo, you’re right! As long as I keep fighting, my sister will definitely see me!”
Feeling a renewed sense of hope, Seiya then took Leo around the city, including a visit to the orphanage where he had grown up. There, they met Miho, Seiya’s closest friend from his orphanage days, who was now working as a caretaker.
The next day, Leo, Seiya, Miho, and a group of children from the orphanage traveled together to the Galaxian Wars arena.
The Kido Foundation had spent a fortune over five years to build this massive indoor arena, which was as large as five football fields.
Once inside, Seiya went to the competitors’ area while Leo led Miho and the others to the spectator seats.
“That’s the Sagittarius Gold Cloth!”
Sitting in the stands, Leo’s eyes were immediately drawn to the golden box placed on a high platform in the center of the arena.
He knew that this was the Sagittarius Gold Cloth of Aiolos.
He had set his sights on the Sagittarius Cloth not just because it was the most accessible unclaimed Cloth, but also because it was the most powerful offensive Cloth among all the Saint armors.
While the Sagittarius Saint might not be the strongest among all Saints, the weapon wielded by the Sagittarius Cloth was unquestionably the most lethal.
It was called the “Arrow of the Gods.”
As long as the Sagittarius Saint’s Cosmos was powerful enough, their arrow could even kill a god.
The arrow didn’t just destroy the enemy’s body—it annihilated their soul and spirit as well. Its destructive power was immense.
