- MWM Chapter 350
“Pegasus Ryusei Ken!”
As Seiya’s signature move landed on Shiryu’s back, Shiryu’s heart resumed beating, and he slowly regained consciousness. The audience, who had been anxiously watching the match, collectively sighed in relief, erupting into thunderous applause.
Unlike the spectators, though, the Saints on the sidelines, while also relieved, couldn’t help but glance in Leo’s direction, some more obviously than others.
Sure, Seiya’s Pegasus Ryusei Ken was impressive, earning their respect. But Leo’s ability to fully heal someone from serious injuries so effortlessly? That was even more astounding.
Among them, Hyoga was the one who cast the most glances at Leo.
Hyoga, the strongest among those gathered around Seiya, was more than impressed by Leo’s healing power. What concerned him was something else.
Leo hadn’t displayed a powerful Cosmo, but when he appeared behind Hyoga earlier, Hyoga hadn’t sensed him at all—an alarming realization. If Leo had harbored ill intentions, Hyoga might not have had a chance to fight back.
This led Hyoga to suspect that Leo might actually be a powerful Saint in disguise.
Meanwhile, from the VIP booth overlooking the match, Saori Kido had also noticed Leo.
Someone with such potent healing abilities, capable of restoring serious injuries in mere moments, would be invaluable in the coming Holy War.
“Tatsumi, who is that man?”
“Miss, his name is Leo, a friend of Seiya’s. He traveled here with Seiya from the Sanctuary. It seems he doesn’t have a Cloth, so he’s likely not an official Saint,” Tatsumi, the large and imposing butler, replied.
Feeling the gaze from the VIP booth above, Leo’s lips curled into a slight smile. He knew he had caught Athena’s attention.
In past Holy Wars, Saints with healing abilities had always existed, and they were often Gold Saints, particularly from Aries. Currently, Mu of Aries, who resides in Jamir, has not only healing abilities but also the skills to repair Cloths, teleport objects, and use telekinesis, among other support powers.
“Thank you, Seiya! Thank you, Leo!”
As Shiryu learned from Shunrei what had happened while he was unconscious, he stood up and sincerely expressed his gratitude to both Seiya and Leo.
If not for Seiya’s selfless actions, Shiryu would have died. And if not for Leo’s healing, Seiya wouldn’t have been able to save him in the first place. On top of that, Leo had now healed his injuries as well.
So, Shiryu’s gratitude came from the heart.
“It’s a shame our Cloths are damaged, though,” Seiya said with a touch of regret, picking up his broken Pegasus Cloth from the ground.
Their battle had been so intense that both of their Cloths were significantly damaged, beyond the point of automatic repair. After six long years in the Sanctuary, enduring harsh training and defeating countless opponents to obtain his Cloth, it was disheartening for Seiya to see it destroyed after only a few days of wearing it.
Still, Seiya had a naturally upbeat personality. Within minutes, he had already bounced back, his mood restored.
Shiryu, meanwhile, packed up his broken Dragon Cloth into its box, then took Seiya’s broken Pegasus Cloth and placed it in its own box. Under Seiya’s surprised gaze, he said firmly, “Don’t worry, Seiya. I know a place where the Cloths can be repaired. After I visit my master, I’ll take both of our Cloths there.
“Wait for me here. I’ll get them fixed as soon as possible so you can continue competing.”
Shiryu’s words carried the conviction of someone who repays kindness a hundredfold. Seiya had saved his life, and Shiryu was determined to repay that debt by getting their Cloths repaired, even if it meant risking his own life.
“Really? That’s amazing!”
Seiya’s face lit up with joy.
Though he had confidence in his abilities, he knew that without his Cloth, it would be extremely difficult to face opponents like Hyoga, Shun, and Ikki, who had yet to return.
Leo, watching from the side, merely smiled and didn’t interfere.
With his current level of skill in healing magic and his ability to utilize the blood of a Saint, he was fairly certain he could repair two Bronze Cloths. However, he chose not to step forward and attempt it.
He had clear goals in mind. First, he wanted to gain Athena’s favor, positioning himself as someone she could rely on, so that he could eventually inherit the Sagittarius Gold Cloth.
Second, he didn’t want to drastically alter the original storyline, in order to avoid unforeseen consequences and potential disasters.
In the original story, the Bronze Saints faced many perilous battles, but they always won the Holy War in the end. If his interference caused a deviation that resulted in them losing the war and Hades ruling over Earth, turning it into a lifeless planet, that would be catastrophic.
Helping Seiya heal and saving Shiryu didn’t significantly change the storyline. However, if he had fully repaired the two Cloths, and Shiryu hadn’t gone to Jamir to see Mu and get the Cloths strengthened, things might turn out differently later when they had to face the Twelve Gold Saints.
As the match concluded, Shiryu and Shunrei left with the two broken Cloths to return to the Five Peaks, while everyone else headed back to their respective homes.
However, as Leo left the arena, he sensed a flash of murderous intent from the audience.
Besides him, Shun, the most sensitive to hostility, also seemed to pick up on it.
The next day, the matches resumed as usual. Today’s fight was between Andromeda Shun and Unicorn Jabu, who had previously defeated Leo Minor Ban.
“This boy is destined to become the vessel for Hades,” Leo thought to himself as he watched Shun effortlessly dominate Jabu in the ring.
Among the Bronze Saints, the strongest by the end was undeniably Seiya. However, in the early stages, Seiya was considered the weakest of the Bronze Five, struggling even against Geki of the Bear Cloth.
On the surface, Ikki seemed to be the strongest in the early stages, but in truth, it was Shun.
Before Shun left Andromeda Island to compete in the Galaxian Wars, he had already shattered one of his master’s arm guards during training when he unleashed his full power.
His master, Albiore of the Silver Saint of Cepheus, was considered one of the strongest Silver Saints, said to be on par with the Gold Saints.
This meant that, if Shun went all out, his true strength would be at the peak of the Silver Saint level.
However, Shun’s gentle and kind nature, along with his deep aversion to fighting and harming others, often caused him to suppress his Cosmo.
On top of that, due to his extraordinary talent, Shun had been chosen from birth to be the vessel for Hades when he descended upon the Earth.
“Ah!”
A scream echoed through the arena as Jabu, attempting to break through Shun’s defense from above, was instantly struck down by Andromeda’s chains.
As Jabu fell, Shun’s chains began to move wildly, sensing something unusual. This sudden disturbance put all the Saints on high alert, as well as Saori Kido, watching from her VIP booth.
