- In Marvel: I Start by Marrying Scarlett Witch [Complete]
- MWM Chapter 358
In the blink of an eye, three days had passed.
During those three days, everything was calm, without a single incident. But Leo knew that this was merely the calm before the storm.
Saga knew that after Ikki and the Dark Saints had failed, a more powerful Saint would undoubtedly be sent to seize the Gold Cloth and kill Saori Kido, the incarnation of Athena.
So, while Seiya and the others sometimes went out, Leo stayed at the villa every day, training his cosmos.
The main plot hadn’t changed, but because of his presence, many small details had shifted. Saori Kido hadn’t awakened yet, and if something happened due to carelessness, it would be game over.
While a god can’t be truly killed, if the physical body of the reincarnation is destroyed, by the time the god reincarnates again, the Holy War would already be over.
And without Athena’s cosmos to support them, the Saints of Earth would stand no chance in their battle against gods like Poseidon and Hades.
To be honest, though, he couldn’t quite remember which specific Saints Sanctuary would send.
When it came to the Twelve Gold Saints, he remembered every single one of them clearly. But as for the Silver Saints, apart from a few strong ones, the others were mostly a blur.
It wasn’t a big deal, though. If it’s Silver Saints, whoever they send makes no difference—they’re all doomed to fail.
At 2 PM, two figures appeared out of thin air at the gate of the Kido mansion, one large and one small.
“Shiryu, the teacher said your body still hasn’t fully recovered from mending the Cloth, so be careful during battle. Honestly, you could’ve waited until you were fully rested before returning. With me here, you don’t have to take a plane; I can bring you here instantly.”
“Kiki, I saw the news of the Galaxian Wars being attacked while on my way from the Five Old Peaks to Jamir. Seiya surely needs the Pegasus Cloth now more than ever.”
Shiryu spoke in a serious tone.
“Alright then, I’ll head back first!”
Kiki stuck out his tongue, and in a flash, he disappeared from where he stood.
Watching him leave, Shiryu, carrying both the Dragon Cloth and Seiya’s Pegasus Cloth, walked swiftly into the villa.
“Shiryu, looks like your trip back went well, but Seiya went out this morning to find Miho and hasn’t returned yet.”
Sensing Shiryu’s cosmos, Leo stepped out of his room.
Seiya couldn’t stay still for long; whenever he was free, he’d go visit Miho and the orphans. Meanwhile, Hyoga spent most of his days, like Leo, training his cosmos and strengthening his body.
As for Shun, he mostly stayed by Ikki’s corpse in the basement, praying for his brother to rise from the ashes like a Phoenix.
“Leo, what exactly happened that day?”
Shiryu set down the Cloth and asked.
Leo didn’t hide anything and recounted everything that had happened on the day of Ikki’s attack, along with the subsequent discussions and speculations.
“Something’s wrong! We’re under attack!”
Just then, there was a series of screams from outside the villa, followed by a loud roar.
“Hand over the Gold Cloth peacefully, or I’ll flatten this place today!”
“They’ve finally come. Quicker than I expected.”
Hearing the voice outside, Leo knew that someone from Sanctuary had arrived.
Outside the villa, the ground was littered with Kido’s heavily armed guards, all defeated.
Human weapons were useless against Saints who could move faster than the speed of sound.
Standing at the gate was a giant in red armor, towering over five meters tall, his body rippling with muscles.
Behind him were six soldiers dressed in standard-issue armor from Sanctuary.
Standing in opposition were Leo, Saori Kido, and the others.
“Are you from Sanctuary? Who sent you to steal the Gold Cloth?” Saori Kido demanded, her voice loud and clear as she faced the giant Saint in red armor.
The red-armored giant laughed heartily.
“I am Duraldus, of the Serpent Constellation, the largest and strongest Saint in Sanctuary. By the order of the new Pope, Alex, I have come to reclaim the stolen Gold Cloth and kill you Bronze Saints who dare to betray Sanctuary!”
“New Pope Alex?”
Everyone froze for a moment upon hearing this.
None of them had heard anything from their masters about a new Pope in Sanctuary.
“Hmph, just a big dumb brute. Let me deal with him!”
Hyoga stepped forward, instantly unleashing his special attack:
“Diamond Dust!”
Countless frost-laden punches flew toward Duraldus.
The giant grinned, crossing his arms in front of him, easily blocking all of the attacks.
“Is that all you’ve got? That’s not enough to hurt me.”
“Don’t be so sure. You may have blocked my power, but can you block my frost?”
Hyoga’s face was full of confidence as he watched Duraldus’s arms freeze together with the icy mist.
But the next second, his expression changed.
With a mighty exertion, Duraldus shattered the ice around his arms.
“Rozan Shoryu Ha!”
Shiryu seized the moment, charging forward and landing a powerful uppercut to Duraldus’s chin.
Boom!
The giant was sent flying, but before even a second had passed, he stood up again, unharmed.
“What? He took a direct hit from Rozan Shoryu Ha and didn’t even flinch!”
Shiryu, Shun, and Hyoga were all shocked.
Shiryu’s attack, unlike Seiya’s multi-hit Pegasus Meteor Fist, was just a single blow. But it was a blow so powerful that it could even reverse a waterfall, yet it didn’t break through this man’s defense.
“You think you can hurt me? Attacks of this level are useless against me. Now die!”
Duraldus, enraged by the hit to his chin, clashed his fists together, igniting his cosmos:
“Whirlwind Strike!”
With a thunderous roar, two fierce blasts of energy shot forth, accompanied by two powerful whirlwinds heading straight for the group.
Before the punches even reached them, the sheer force of the wind left everyone paralyzed with fear—it felt even more devastating than Ikki’s Phoenix’s Wings.
“Move!”
Leo grabbed Saori by the arm, instantly teleporting them to the balcony on the second floor of the villa. Thanks to his warning, Hyoga, Shiryu, and Shun all managed to leap out of harm’s way as well.
Boom! Boom!
Two deafening explosions rocked the villa, leaving two massive craters about ten meters wide where they had been standing just moments before. Cold sweat trickled down their faces.
Had Leo not warned them, they’d have been as good as dead.
“I’ll deal with Duraldus. You three stop the others and make sure they don’t take the Gold Cloth.”
