- In Marvel: I Start by Marrying Scarlett Witch [Complete]
- MWM Chapter 368
The reason Saga was able to rule the Sanctuary for thirteen years without being exposed as an imposter, despite posing as the Pope, was not only because he had been one of the most trusted Saints by the former Pope and had deep knowledge of all the Sanctuary’s affairs, but more importantly, because he mastered a terrifying technique—the *Genrou Maouken*!
Unlike Phoenix Ikki’s *Phoenix Genma Ken*, which mainly disrupts the nervous system and shatters the opponent’s psychological defenses, Saga’s *Genrou Maouken* allows him to directly control the enemy’s mind once it strikes.
The Crystal Saint fell victim to this technique when he met Saga, and under Saga’s control, he returned to Siberia with the intent to kill Hyoga.
In the original story, Saga also used this move to ambush Aiolia during his fight with Shaka, temporarily controlling Aiolia for a brief period.
“Saga, let’s see just how powerful your *Genrou Maouken* really is,” Leo muttered.
Inside an empty cabin in the village, after sending Hyoga and the others outside, Leo immediately activated his Sage Mangekyo Sharingan as soon as he revived the Crystal Saint. His spiritual energy began to invade the Crystal Saint’s mind.
At the same time, far away in the Sanctuary, Saga stood atop the Pope’s Palace, overlooking the Sanctuary. Suddenly, he froze.
“Someone dares to try and break my control over the Crystal Saint? Foolish.”
Closing his eyes, Saga concentrated, using the mental link he had left in the Crystal Saint’s mind as a medium, and launched a remote mental assault.
*Genrou Maouken!*
“So powerful… such strong mental control,” Leo thought.
Just as his Sharingan was about to fully dispel Saga’s control over the Crystal Saint, Leo slowly raised his right hand, turned it into a knife-like shape, and resolutely plunged it toward his own heart.
At the same time, a sinister voice echoed in his mind.
“If you want to save him so badly, then kill yourself first!”
With those words, Leo’s right hand had already pierced his heart. The now-awake Crystal Saint gasped in horror, which prompted Seiya and the others outside to break in.
When they saw Leo with his hand impaling his own heart, they were instantly thrown into panic.
“Brother Leo! What happened to you?”
Even the usually prideful Hyoga turned pale. If Leo died because he was trying to save his master, Hyoga would feel guilty for the rest of his life.
“I got briefly caught by the Pope’s remote illusion attack, but I’m fine. This kind of injury is nothing to me. Besides, I bet the Pope isn’t feeling too good right now either.”
Seeing the worried expressions on their faces, Leo nonchalantly pulled his blood-soaked hand out of his heart, smiling as he spoke.
The moment he finished speaking, the gaping wound on his chest had completely healed, leaving everyone around him speechless in awe at his miraculous recovery.
Meanwhile, Saga, who believed he had used the *Genrou Maouken* to remotely control Leo and end his life, suddenly heard Leo’s voice in his ear:
“Now you take this! *Illusion: Shiranui!*”
In an instant, Saga felt his entire body engulfed in flames, followed by a searing, agonizing pain.
Even as a Gold Saint, he could not avoid this torment. It lasted for a while before his immense spiritual power finally dispelled the flames, though a small burn scar remained on his arm.
“He actually made an illusion affect reality.”
Indeed, Saga had successfully used the Crystal Saint as a medium to mentally control Leo. However, Leo had retaliated by launching his own illusion attack through the spiritual link, using his Sharingan’s unique abilities.
The first clash between Leo and Saga ended with neither side suffering any substantial harm.
After spending the night in Siberia, where they used magic to heal the injured villagers, Leo, early the next morning, used the *Flying Thunder God Technique* to transport Seiya, Marin, Hyoga, and the Crystal Saint to Andromeda Island, where Shun was waiting.
The Crystal Saint, now free from Saga’s control, fully understood that the Pope was not the righteous figure he once thought. After hearing the full truth from Hyoga, he decided to join his student in defending Athena.
“Brother Leo, you’re finally here!”
Shun, who had been waiting, smiled warmly when he saw Leo and Seiya arrive.
Leo noticed Shun standing with several Saints from Andromeda Island, realizing that Shun’s journey must have gone smoothly.
This wasn’t surprising. Cepheus Albiore, Shun’s master, was a Silver Saint whose strength rivaled that of a Gold Saint. Years ago, the former Pope, Shion, had entrusted Albiore with the responsibility of training new Saints.
Aside from the Andromeda Cloth, Albiore’s island housed several other Bronze Cloths, such as the Chameleon, Cassiopeia, Southern Fish, and Kitsune Cloths—altogether possessing more than half of the 48 Bronze Cloths.
Years ago, Albiore had sensed something wrong within the Sanctuary, suspecting that the Pope was no longer Shion. As a result, he had ceased following any orders from the Sanctuary.
Now that Shun had revealed the full truth, it was highly likely that Albiore would choose to side with Athena.
“It’s really hot here,”
Seiya commented, wiping sweat from his forehead as the temperature around him suddenly spiked. They had just come from the freezing cold of Siberia and were now on the scorching Andromeda Island, making the adjustment difficult.
Although Andromeda Island wasn’t as harsh as Death Queen Island, it was still one of the most extreme environments in the world, where the temperature soared to 50 degrees Celsius during the day and plummeted to minus 50 degrees at night. Ordinary people couldn’t survive here for long without awakening their Cosmo.
“This is my master, Cepheus Albiore,” Shun introduced.
After a brief exchange with Albiore, the group prepared to return to Saori Kido’s villa.
“Everyone, gather around me. I’ll use my technique to teleport us all out of here,” Leo instructed, pulling out the modified teleportation scroll.
With close to 30 people, using the *Flying Thunder God* or *Apparition* technique alone wouldn’t suffice, so the teleportation scroll was the best option.
However, just as Leo was about to activate the scroll, a red rose carrying a tremendous Cosmo hurtled toward him at an incredible speed.
“Watch out!”
The only one who sensed the danger, Albiore, tried to intervene, but he was a step too late. All he could do was shout a warning to Leo.
“Sword Wheel: Spin!”
Without time to fully unleash his power, Leo formed a hand seal, and the flying sword wings behind him manifested, transforming into a sword wheel that shielded him.
The red rose collided with the sword wheel, sparking violently. The sheer force pushed Leo back a dozen meters before Albiore knocked the rose away.
“Who dares to intrude on Andromeda Island!”
