MWM Chapter 370

This entry is part 371 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Die!”

Enraged after losing his Cloth, Aphrodite unleashed his full power, shattering all of the lightning spears created by  Leo’s Lightning Release and destroying all four thousand of his shadow clones with his light-speed punches.

When the dust settled, only  Leo and the now Cloth-less Aphrodite remained on the battlefield.

“Using such a cowardly trick to steal my Cloth… but if you think this means you’ve won, look at your chest. My white rose has almost turned completely red. Once it does, you’ll be drained of blood and face certain death!”

“Oh, you mean this rose? It’s no big deal, I’ve got plenty of blood to spare.”

Leo casually slammed his fist into the hole in his chest, causing the nearly blood-soaked white rose, which had already turned 80% red, to fully transform into a completely crimson rose. Then, he plucked it from his chest and tossed it to the ground.

With his body’s insane blood regeneration, the rose could drain his blood for days and still not finish him.

“What?! That’s impossible!”

Aphrodite was utterly dumbfounded. Blood is the essence of life—even a Gold Saint would die if all their blood was drained. His ultimate technique, the *Bloody Rose*, had clearly succeeded in turning red, so why was  Leo still standing, completely unaffected, without even pale skin?

“Even without my Gold Cloth, there’s no way a lowly Bronze Saint like you can defeat me!”

Aphrodite assumed a battle stance, preparing to unleash a barrage of light-speed punches.

If his rose techniques couldn’t bring down his opponent, then he would resort to the most straightforward and unstoppable weapon—a light-speed punch.

He had already noticed in their earlier exchange that while  Leo was strong, he still hadn’t reached the speed and power of a Gold Saint’s light-speed punch.

“But I’m not a Bronze Saint!”

With a wave of his hand,  Leo summoned a golden box that appeared in front of him.

For a Gold Saint, the Cloth was their ultimate protection, enhancing their defense against physical, energy, and even mental attacks. Losing the Cloth reduced a Gold Saint’s overall power by at least 30%.

With the Sagittarius Gold Cloth now in his possession,  Leo’s Bronze-level Cosmo was instantly amplified to match a top-tier Silver Saint’s Cosmo.

With Aphrodite’s power decreased and  Leo’s significantly boosted, the gap between them was closed.

“Come forth, my Sagittarius Gold Cloth!”

At  Leo’s command, the golden Sagittarius Cloth flew out of the box, disassembled, and automatically attached itself to his body.

As one of the most powerful Cloths, the Gold Cloth not only enhanced a Saint’s Cosmo and defense but also adjusted to fit the user’s body and could be summoned from a distance using Cosmo.

However, it wasn’t quite like a magical weapon that could be stored within the body, so for now,  Leo carried it in his pouch, ready for use. He planned to later refine it like a magical artifact, incorporating materials like vibranium and Uru metal, to make it even more powerful.

“What?! How are you able to wear the Sagittarius Gold Cloth?!”

Aphrodite’s expression changed drastically upon seeing  Leo donning the Sagittarius Gold Cloth.

Gold Cloths could only be worn by those recognized by the previous Gold Saint, the Pope, or Athena herself.

“Because I’ve been chosen as the new Sagittarius Gold Saint by Athena herself. Wake up, Aphrodite! The real Athena is on our side. There’s still time for you to repent!”

Leo, clad in the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, shouted at Aphrodite.

However, Aphrodite suddenly chuckled.

“Power is justice. Only with power can peace be protected. Whether Athena is real or not doesn’t matter—the important thing is that you all don’t stand a chance against the Pope.

So, I’ll stand by the Pope’s side. Take this—*Light-Speed Punch!*”

Aphrodite unleashed his full power, believing only in strength. He didn’t blindly worship Athena or any gods. To him, peace could only be upheld by those with the most power.

So far, he hadn’t encountered any force stronger than the Pope. Even if Athena was real, if she couldn’t defeat the Pope, then he believed the Pope should lead the Sanctuary and defeat any gods threatening peace.

If Athena won, he was prepared to die in the process.

“Foolishness!”

Leo roared as he unleashed his full strength, enhanced by the overwhelming power of the Gold Cloth.

“Light-Speed *Evening Elephant*!”

The *Evening Elephant* was a powerful physical technique, a barrage of devastating air cannon punches. Combined with the speed of light punches made possible by the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, along with  Leo’s enhanced Cosmo, Sage Mode, and Eight Gates, this attack reached unprecedented levels of power.

“Argh!”

Aphrodite’s light-speed punches were no match for  Leo’s *Light-Speed Evening Elephant*, and his body was sent crashing into a massive crater in the ground.

If Aphrodite had been wearing his Gold Cloth, he might have survived the attack. But since  Leo had already disarmed and sealed his Cloth earlier, he had no defense.

“You’ve won… kill me,” Aphrodite groaned from the bottom of the crater, his bones shattered.

 Leo shook his head.

“Killing you would be too easy. Once all this is over, you can make up for your mistakes.”

Leo’s right eye spun, revealing the Mangekyo Sharingan, and the red Susanoo appeared, enveloping him. The Susanoo raised the *Totsuka Blade* and stabbed Aphrodite, sealing him away in the blade’s dimension.

Aphrodite’s belief in strength as justice wasn’t entirely wrong.  Leo agreed with that idea. But Aphrodite’s short-sightedness, believing Saga’s strength could rival that of gods, was his downfall.

In reality, without Athena, humanity could never stand against any god. The difference in their Cosmos was simply too vast.

However, this wasn’t the true reason  Leo spared Aphrodite. The real reason was that he wanted to preserve the Sanctuary’s strength for the coming Holy War.

“All done!”

After sealing the severely injured Aphrodite,  Leo rushed to the second battlefield—where Albiore of Cepheus was fighting Scorpio Milo.

By the time he arrived, dozens of Saints were already lying injured, including Seiya, Hyoga, and Shun, all heavily wounded.

Against a foe stronger than Aphrodite, and without Athena’s Cosmo to empower them, even the “Bronze Five” stood no chance and were taken down in a single move by Milo.
