- In Marvel: I Start by Marrying Scarlett Witch [Complete]
- MWM Chapter 386
“Finally, a new main quest!”
Hearing this, Leo immediately opened the task panel, eager to see what it was.
[Main Quest: On May 4, 2012, follow Tony and others from October 16, 2023, as they return to New York to collect the Infinity Stones and help them defeat Thanos’ army.]
[Drawn World: *The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim*.]
[Basic Completion: Ensure that all Avengers members fighting Thanos’ army during the Endgame survive and defeat the 2014 version of Thanos’ army]
[Reward: Citizen status in Whiterun, with a random race bloodline.]
[Intermediate Completion: Ensure that all Avengers members survive the battle against Thanos’ army in the Endgame without using the power of the Infinity Stones and defeat the 2014 Thanos’ army.]
[Reward: Apprentice mage status at the College of Winterhold, with a random race bloodline.]
[Advanced Completion: Ensure that all Avengers members survive the battle against Thanos’ army in the Endgame without using the Infinity Stones’ power, and kill all members of the 2014 Thanos’ army, except Gamora.]
[Reward: A specific Breton race bloodline. The Breton bloodline grants a passive ability to reduce magic damage by one-fourth, and the natural *Dragon Skin* ability can be used once a day, absorbing 50% of magic damage for one minute and converting it into personal magicka. ]
[Additionally, the Dragonborn bloodline allows the user to learn *Dragon Shouts* quickly by absorbing dragon souls.]
[Initial time in the small world: Twelve months.]
After reading the new main quest, Leo fell into deep thought.
So it turns out the world he was in wasn’t actually part of Marvel’s Sacred Timeline. It was a parallel timeline created when Tony and the others from the Sacred Timeline traveled through quantum space to retrieve the Infinity Stones.
He had suspected this earlier but only now received full confirmation.
In other words, the moment Tony and his team activated the time machine and entered the 2012 timeline from 2023 in the Sacred Timeline, this parallel world began to form. It developed from nothing until May 4, 2012, when Tony and the others arrived.
During this development process, Leo appeared in 2007 when his soul was sent into this timeline, taking over the life of the original Leo, who had died.
The gears of fate began to shift, and because of his butterfly effect, this timeline diverged from the Sacred Timeline.
Now, in November 2011, according to the original plot, Tony and his team would appear on the streets of New York in six months. After the Battle of New York, they would secretly collect the Space Stone, the Mind Stone, and the Time Stone.
“No wonder the Time Variance Authority (TVA) hasn’t shown up,” Leo muttered to himself.
He realized why the TVA hadn’t interfered yet. His presence had already altered the course of the timeline, so the TVA should have come after him. But they hadn’t.
It now seemed they hadn’t reacted yet because this parallel timeline only began forming when Tony and the others entered quantum space. The TVA had only just discovered the problem, and by the time they realized something was wrong, it was already 2012, and it wasn’t just Loki breaking the timeline; the entire timeline was diverging.
Moreover, since this timeline was connected to the Sacred Timeline, it had likely impacted it as well. The TVA and the one who controlled the Sacred Timeline—Kang—were probably still figuring out how to deal with it.
Of course, this didn’t concern Leo too much right now.
Whether it was Kang the Conqueror or the TVA, while they seemed formidable with their ability to travel through time and arrest time criminals to protect the Sacred Timeline, their power was based solely on technology.
Their actual strength wasn’t that impressive. Most of their agents were just humans from various timelines who had deviated from their normal paths.
As long as you were careful not to get hit by their time weapons, there wasn’t much of a threat.
The TVA mostly went after people of average strength. Do you think they’d dare to capture someone like the Ancient One or Odin if they broke the timeline?
So this wasn’t a major issue. Marvel has countless parallel universes and timelines, with entities like Eternity, the Living Tribunal, and the One Above All watching over them. One more timeline wouldn’t cause any catastrophic disaster.
The most important thing was to keep improving his strength. Only by becoming stronger could he deal with any future challenges without having to compromise.
However, there was one problem—*The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim*, the new small world, was something he knew nothing about.
He remembered *Saint Seiya* from his childhood, *Naruto* and *Shu Shan Legend* from his school days, and *Fantastic Beasts* and the Marvel movies from when he spent time boxing abroad. But this *Skyrim* world? He didn’t recall ever watching or playing anything related to it.
This meant he would have no advantage in understanding the plot of this small world.
Fortunately, his strength had grown significantly since the beginning. No matter how powerful the world was, he had the ability to protect himself.
Thus, his focus shifted to the difficulty levels of the three tasks.
The **Basic Completion** seemed the easiest: all he needed to do was grab the Infinity Gauntlet and snap his fingers. With his teleportation ability, this should be fairly simple. Plus, his body’s durability and healing abilities would minimize the damage from using the Gauntlet.
The **Intermediate Completion** was a bit tougher. Without using the Gauntlet, he’d have to rely solely on his own power, protect the Avengers, and defeat Thanos’ army.
However, since the task only required him to “defeat” Thanos’ army, he didn’t necessarily need to kill them. As long as he could push them back and make Thanos realize victory was impossible, forcing him to retreat to 2014, the mission would be complete.
The **Advanced Completion** had the highest difficulty. Not only could he not use the Gauntlet, but he also had to protect all the Avengers and kill every member of Thanos’ army except for Gamora.
This would require real strength.
However, for Leo, tasks that relied purely on combat and strength were actually his favorite.
All he needed to do was fight—it was straightforward. It wasn’t like those missions where he had to build up a company or find people, which were time-consuming, exhausting, and required a lot of brainpower, and still made it hard to achieve full completion.
Sometimes, for the sake of efficiency, he had no choice but to settle for a lower completion level to save time.
