MWM Chapter 418

This entry is part 419 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Maybe leaving the Mind Stone in this universe isn’t such a bad idea after all.”

At that moment, a new thought suddenly crossed Leo’s mind.

After all, the Mind Stone didn’t serve much use for him anymore.

Initially, he had taken the Mind Stone to help Wanda further unlock her Chaos Magic, and to use it for mind control as a bonus. Now that Wanda had fully awakened her powers, and considering how many methods he had for controlling minds, the Mind Stone was practically redundant to him.

He had a plethora of techniques: magical spells like the Imperius Curse, Memory Charms, False Memory Charms; Cosmo-based skills like the Emperor’s Magic Fist; and even ninjutsu techniques like the Cursed Tongue Eradication Seal, Genjutsu, and Mind Manipulation techniques.

So now, the Mind Stone held little value to him.

Instead of bringing it back to 2012, it might be better to leave it in 2023. This way, the 2012 universe would only have five Infinity Stones, making it impossible to perform another snap. And who knew how long it would take for a new Mind Stone to form in that universe?

Most importantly, Leo had no intention of gathering too many Infinity Stones. If he wanted, he could have easily taken all six for himself.

The reason? It was simple.

He didn’t want to attract the attention of the real powerhouses in the Marvel Universe and risk trouble he couldn’t yet handle.

Possessing one or two Infinity Stones? That wasn’t an issue—many had done so throughout the universe’s history, and it was a normal occurrence. Six Infinity Stones, though? That was a different story.

That’s also why, during his cosmic travels, he hadn’t gone to Morag to retrieve the Power Stone.

“Banner, are you alright?”

While Leo marveled at the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, Tony had used the nanotech freezing feature in his suit to temporarily treat Banner’s arm, which had been severely burned from the snap’s backlash.

“Did it work?” Banner asked weakly.

As soon as he spoke, Hawkeye’s phone, sitting on the table, began to vibrate. The caller ID displayed the name of his wife, Laura, who had vanished five years ago due to Thanos’ snap.

With trembling hands, Clint picked up the phone and answered, hearing the familiar voice he had longed to hear.

“Clint?”

“It’s me, honey.”

“We did it!”

The moment Clint confirmed it was Laura on the other end, everyone’s faces lit up with joy. This meant Banner’s snap had worked.

But they barely had a moment to celebrate before their expressions shifted to horror.

Through the glass ceiling above the lab, they saw an enormous warship—far larger than anything they’d ever seen—hovering over them like a dark cloud.

And worse, the ship had begun firing. Missiles rained down in overwhelming numbers, darkening the sky.

“Watch out!” Tony shouted, trying to activate the base’s defense system, but it was already too late.

Just as the missiles were about to obliterate the base, they saw a familiar figure appear above the glass: Leo, who had returned from 2012.

“The main mission has officially begun.”

Leo looked up at the massive *Sanctuary II* warship—several times larger than the *Dark Aster*—and smirked. His chakra and true essence merged as he entered Sage Mode.

“Three-Headed, Six-Armed Susanoo!”

With a clap of his hands, a 600-meter-tall golden Susanoo enveloped him, shielding the entire Avengers’ base behind it.

Thanks to the growth of his chakra and true essence, Leo’s Susanoo had grown from its original 300 meters to a towering 600 meters.

“What is that?”

Both the Avengers inside the building and Thanos aboard the *Sanctuary II* were stunned by the sight of the massive, golden, three-headed, six-armed Susanoo.

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Explosions rang out, but not a single missile touched Leo’s Susanoo. The missiles were deftly deflected by one of the arms wielding a golden spear.

“Why is Thanos’ warship here?”

Seeing that the enormous golden giant was actually Leo and that he was holding off the missile barrage, the Avengers breathed a sigh of relief. But upon recognizing the attacking ship as Thanos’ *Sanctuary II*, they were once again left in confusion.

Wasn’t the *Sanctuary II*, along with Thanos’ army, disbanded after he retired post-snap? Why was it now appearing on Earth, attacking them at this critical moment?

If it weren’t for Leo’s intervention, their base, along with the quantum machine, would have been obliterated.

“If you mess with time, time will mess with you,” Tony said, quickly scanning the room. When he realized that Nebula was missing, he immediately suspected what had happened.

Hearing this, Thor’s eyes filled with lightning as he summoned both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir to his hands.

“Then let’s cut off his head again!”

“Hide the Infinity Gauntlet. We need to help Leo fend off the attack. We can’t let Thanos get it again,” Steve quickly recognized the gravity of the situation.

If Thanos reclaimed the gauntlet, all their efforts would be for nothing, and even more lives would be lost.

“Where do we hide it?”

That’s when they faced another dilemma.

Against Thanos’ army, where could they safely hide the Infinity Gauntlet?

Nowhere seemed secure.

“Send it back!”

Relying on his body’s immense healing ability, Banner, having recovered somewhat, stood up.

But just as he spoke, a massive explosion echoed from the hall where the quantum machine was located.

Nebula from 2014, seeing that the *Sanctuary II*’s attack had been blocked, had destroyed the quantum machine.

Meanwhile, aboard the *Sanctuary II*, Thanos, clad in his Titan battle armor and wielding the double-edged blade forged from Uru by the Dwarf King, gazed down at the strange golden giant that had withstood the first wave of missile strikes.

He frowned.

This individual wasn’t in the memories of 2023 Nebula. He had no idea who this was.

“Activate the orbital energy cannon!”

This time, instead of relying on mere missiles, Thanos ordered the use of the *Sanctuary II*’s most powerful weapon: the orbital energy cannon, capable of destroying a Leviathan in a single shot.

He wanted to see how this strange giant would handle a pure energy attack.

“Hmph, you think you’re the only one who can attack?”

As the *Sanctuary II* ceased firing missiles and prepared to activate its energy cannon, Leo’s Susanoo shifted, revealing its archer aspect.
