MWM Chapter 425

This entry is part 426 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Reaching this point isn’t even the most impressive feat.”

The truly incredible thing is that Leo not only can use magical artifacts to attack enemies inside the Tsukuyomi World, as he did before, but now he can directly use the power of his cosmos to unleash attacks.

All of the Golden Saints’ ultimate techniques can be used within the Tsukuyomi World, since it exists within his cosmos.

Meanwhile, the enemies within this world can’t harm him in the slightest unless they are vastly more powerful than him, capable of breaking through the Tsukuyomi World and returning to reality. Only then might they have a chance of hurting him.

Furthermore, he can control the flow of time within the Tsukuyomi World, either speeding it up or slowing it down.

It feels like he’s a god within the Tsukuyomi World, a realm that extends from his being. As long as enemies are drawn into it, they are at his mercy.

Of course, there are some minor drawbacks.

First, if an enemy is too far away, like the Sanctuary II, he can’t immediately draw them into the Tsukuyomi World and must rely on a red beam to assist. If the enemy dodges, he won’t be able to trap them.

Second, if the enemy is proficient in spatial abilities, they might escape upon realizing they’ve been drawn in, assuming they survive the initial entry.

Third, his true self cannot enter the Tsukuyomi World. Attacks within it must rely on his cosmos, mental energy, and magical artifacts.

However, compared to the advantages, these drawbacks are negligible.

As he grows stronger and deepens his understanding of the laws and the world, he can gradually refine these shortcomings, turning the Tsukuyomi World into a reality of his own creation.

At that point, perhaps he will be qualified to challenge the powerful dimensional deities of the Marvel Universe.

“It’s time to end this!”

After absorbing the Sanctuary II with his eyes, Leo pulled back his right hand, summoning the golden arrow of Sagittarius onto his golden bow, while his three-headed, six-armed Susanoo drew back the string.

As the bowstring stretched to its limit, the golden arrow, imbued with god-slaying power from the Ultimate Cosmos, merged with a destruction-charged arrow formed from Sage Chakra. Together, they shot out in a brilliant streak of light, hurtling toward Thanos, who was bound and unable to move by the golden rope.

“Foolish, wretched insects—you will regret this!”

Sensing his impending death, Thanos let out a roar of defiance before the combined golden arrow struck him, reducing him to specks of light that faded away completely, leaving no trace behind.

“All done!”

Leo, seeing the mission panel indicate that his main quest was complete and the rewards had been issued, nodded in satisfaction. He then dispelled his three-headed, six-armed Susanoo and returned to his normal form.

“It looks like the snap worked, judging by the crowd gathered here.”

Leo turned around, glancing at the massive assembly of Avengers, smiling as he suddenly remembered something:

“Oh, right, I still have these two.”

With a swift turn of his Mangekyo Sharingan, two figures appeared before everyone.

It was 2014’s Gamora and 2023’s Nebula. While Leo had been fighting Thanos, the two sisters had been teaming up to fight off Thanos’ remaining troops aboard the Sanctuary II, trying to stop them from continuing their orbital cannon assault.

So, when Leo absorbed the Sanctuary II, they were also pulled into the Tsukuyomi World.

“Gamora!”

Upon seeing Gamora appear, Star-Lord immediately ran over and embraced her, only to be greeted by a harsh knee to the stomach.

“Don’t touch me!”

“Well, you missed the first time, but that knee sure hit the jackpot,” Star-Lord groaned, clutching his injured area and rolling on the ground in pain.

Gamora glanced at him with disdain and furrowed her brows, full of doubt:

“Seriously? I’m supposed to fall for him?”

“You don’t have many options—besides him, your only other choice is a tree,” Nebula quipped with a straight face.

The Gamora from 2014 had not yet been assigned her mission to Xandar, so she had no idea who Star-Lord was and hadn’t formed a relationship with him. Meanwhile, the 2023 Gamora, who had deeply loved Star-Lord, had been sacrificed by Thanos to obtain the Soul Stone five years ago.

So, even though they were both Gamora, having lived through different experiences in different timelines, they were no longer the same person.

That’s also why Star-Lord didn’t end up with 2014’s Gamora in *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3*, and why the Avengers didn’t bring back a Black Widow from another universe after her death.

Leo, seeing 2023’s Wanda standing there, had similar thoughts.

Marvel has countless parallel universes, each with endless timelines, and in almost all of them, there exists a version of Wanda.

Some become the Scarlet Witch, pawns of Chthon, others live as ordinary women, getting married and having children, and some even turn into zombies.

Leo always had a clear understanding: his wife is Wanda, but only the Wanda from his own world—the one he met at seventeen and later married—is truly his wife.

As for the Wandas from other parallel universes and different timelines, they are not his wife. At most, they are like twin sisters of his Wanda or strangers who happen to look exactly like her.

Sure, seeing them might make him feel a bit familiar, but he couldn’t truly regard them as his Wanda.

This understanding applied not only to Wanda but to everyone in the Marvel Universe. In parallel worlds, each person could have a different life, different partners, and different experiences.

“The plan succeeded, thanks in large part to your help. Without you, I doubt we could have defeated Thanos and his army.”

At that moment, Tony and Steve, the leaders of the Avengers, approached Leo together, expressing their sincere gratitude.

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange was still puzzling over where things had diverged from his vision, but seeing that the outcome was good and Tony hadn’t sacrificed himself, he decided to let it go.

After this, Tony introduced Leo to the rest of the Avengers, including Doctor Strange. Leo greeted them one by one.

Everyone was astonished to learn that Leo came from 2012, and that his world was somehow different from theirs.

After some brief exchanges, most of the gathered heroes, except for the core Avengers like Tony and Steve, prepared to return to their original places through the portals.

Just then, a humanoid figure, radiating immense energy, broke through the atmosphere and descended upon the battlefield.

“Apologies, I was dealing with something elsewhere and arrived a little late. Where’s Thanos?”

It was Captain Marvel, who, after receiving the call, had finally flown back at the speed of light from another planet.

“Uh, Carol, you might’ve missed it by a little bit. Our plan worked. Thanos and his army have been defeated, and everything’s settled.”

Bruce Banner pointed to the frozen remnants of Thanos’ army below, his face lighting up with a radiant smile.
