MWM Chapter 476

This entry is part 477 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Trying to run? Do you really think you can escape?”

While slaughtering the dragons, Leo noticed Alduin’s attempt to flee.

However, he didn’t bother to pursue immediately. During their first battle, Leo had secretly marked Alduin’s dragon body with a Flying Thunder God seal.

Alduin’s current power was not at its peak, and if he ever recovered to his full strength, dealing with him would become much more difficult.

So, there was no way Leo would let Alduin just escape.

But absorbing dragon souls to strengthen his own Nascent Soul was more important right now. Letting Alduin get a head start didn’t really matter.

“Nascent Soul mid-stage!”

After absorbing the souls of 30 dragons, Leo’s Nascent Soul advanced from the initial stage to the mid-stage.

“Nascent Soul late-stage!”

Absorbing the souls of 50 more dragons, his Nascent Soul broke through from the mid-stage to the late stage.

“Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm—can’t absorb any more!”

Finally, after absorbing the souls of 80 more dragons, his Nascent Soul reached its peak.

A total of 160 dragon souls, 10 more than he initially expected, elevated him from the initial Nascent Soul stage straight to its peak.

However, although he had reached the peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, since his progress was achieved entirely through external forces and at an alarmingly fast rate, he would need several years to fully stabilize at this level and attain the state needed to undergo tribulation and achieve immortality.

But compared to the usual cultivators in the Nascent Soul Realm who would spend hundreds of years just to reach the peak, his few years of consolidation seemed almost negligible.

“There are still over 40 dragons left. Should I kill them or let them live?”

Having killed 160 dragons, reaching the peak of the Nascent Soul Realm, he could no longer gain any power from absorbing more dragon souls.

So, he was considering whether to continue killing the remaining 40-plus dragons.

At this point, the remaining dragons had clustered together, trembling as they faced Leo.

This Dovahkiin was terrifying—he was even more terrifying than their dragon lord, Alduin. Even with so many dragons teaming up, they had no way to resist and could only be slaughtered.

Seeing Leo stop, they had lost all will to fight or flee.

“Your dragon lord has already run away in fear. I’ll give you two choices—submit to me, or be killed and have your souls absorbed!”

After some thought, Leo decided to give these dragons a chance to survive.

The 40-plus dragons looked at each other. Finally, a red dragon, who seemed to be the most powerful and held the highest status among them, flew up to Leo.

“Mighty Dovahkiin, please don’t kill us. In return, we are willing to submit to you and serve you!”

“Very well. What is your name?”

Leo nodded in satisfaction.

He would need to retreat into seclusion to stabilize his realm for some time, and unifying the continent would be difficult without dedicated time. These dragons could come in handy.

“New Dragonlord, my name is Odahviing.”

“Great. Then I’ll call you Little Red. From now on, you will lead the other dragons.”

Leo chuckled.

Odahviing hesitated for a second, but then respectfully replied:

“You may call me whatever you wish, Dragonlord.”

“Wait here for me. Do not attack the humans. I am going to retrieve the fleeing Alduin.”

After marking each dragon with the Flying Thunder God seal, Leo’s figure instantly disappeared.

“Whirlwind Sprint! Whirlwind Sprint! Whirlwind Sprint!”

Alduin, who had already fled the Whiterun plains, flapped his wings with all his might while using the Whirlwind Sprint shout to enhance his speed, heading toward the eastern mountains of Skyrim.

He knew that Leo’s flying speed was also fast and that his dragon followers wouldn’t be able to hold out for long.

So, he needed to reach Skuldafn, in the eastern mountains, as quickly as possible. That was the temple of Kynareth, which he had chosen as his stronghold after his return.

Why choose Kynareth’s temple as his base?

Because Kynareth was Shor’s wife, and through the temple, Alduin could access Sovngarde, Shor’s realm.

Shor had been slain by Akatosh after the world’s creation, so once Alduin entered Sovngarde, he wouldn’t need to worry about Shor attacking him.

This way, Alduin could evade the Golden Dragonborn’s pursuit and also devour the powerful souls of Sovngarde’s inhabitants to recover his strength.

Once he consumed all of Sovngarde’s souls and regained his peak power, even a powerful Golden Dragonborn would be no match for him.

At that point, Alduin would possess the ability to end the entire world.

Other than the Aedra and Daedra, all life from this era would vanish, and a new age would begin. This was an unbreakable rule.

“Naaslaarum, quickly open the portal to the Sanctuary of Solitude!”

Landing in the depths of the temple, Alduin commanded a dragon priest named Nahkriin, who wielded a staff and wore a mask.

Although Nahkriin was puzzled as to why Alduin, who had called all dragons away before, now returned alone and seemed so desperate to reach the Sanctuary, he didn’t dare to question the mighty dragon. Out of respect, he immediately floated over to the altar, inserted the staff into its prepared slot, and cast a spell to open the portal to the Sanctuary of Solitude.

As the large portal opened, Alduin spread his wings to charge inside.

However, just then, a golden rope descended from the sky, wrapping tightly around Alduin—who was halfway into the portal—and forcibly pulled him back out.

“Trying to escape? Did you really think you could get away?”

It was Leo, using his three-headed, six-armed Susanoo avatar, hovering above the temple.

Before Alduin even reached the temple, Leo had already pinpointed his location through the Flying Thunder God seal and instantly teleported nearby, quietly hiding his aura to follow Alduin.

He wanted to see where Alduin was in such a hurry to flee.

Since he couldn’t mentally control Alduin, there was a lot of information Alduin wouldn’t reveal to him.

When he saw Alduin opening a portal to the Sanctuary of Solitude, intending to hide there, Leo reappeared and bound him again.

“Tsukuyomi!”

The Mangekyō Sharingan in his right eye activated, and Alduin was once again sucked into Leo’s Tsukuyomi world.

Dismissing the three-headed, six-armed Susanoo, Leo landed on the platform.

“The Sanctuary of Solitude, Shor’s realm—if he had managed to escape in there, things would have gotten tricky.”

Leo was not one to casually enter another being’s realm, even if Shor, said to be Lorkhan, had died after having his heart ripped out.

But nothing was absolute. Without enough confidence, it would be better not to take such a risky step.

“What did you do to the Dragonlord?!”

Only then did Nahkriin, the dragon priest, realize what had happened. In rage, he immediately launched an attack on Leo.
