MWM Chapter 503

This entry is part 504 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Youquan, we meet again!”

Charging into the blood pit, Leo quickly spotted the Youquan Blood Demon rising from the massive pool of blood.

Upon seeing Leo, the Youquan Blood Demon roared in fury, “It’s you, the one who ambushed me!”

Previously, he had underestimated this little Core Formation cultivator, and because of that, he was gravely injured by Leo’s hidden treasure.

Now, seeing him again filled the Blood Demon with overwhelming rage.

However, he did not attack immediately. He soon realized something that utterly shocked him:

“You… you’ve reached the Earth Immortal stage!”

This was unbelievable. How long had it been since they last met? A year, if that?

In such a short span of time, Leo had advanced from the Core Formation stage, skipping over Nascent Soul and Primordial Spirit, to directly transcend the tribulation and become an Earth Immortal. Not even demonic cultivators could improve this quickly.

“As real as it gets. I’ve come today to end this once and for all,” Leo replied, standing with his hands behind his back, looking completely at ease.

Hearing this, Youquan burst into mocking laughter, his face full of disdain:

“Just you? If I hadn’t underestimated you last time, you wouldn’t have even scratched me. And now, you—a mere novice Earth Immortal—think you can kill me? How laughable.

“Baimei, stop hiding in the shadows. It’s so typical of you to send youngsters to their deaths. Still as sly as ever!”

After laughing, Youquan unleashed his spiritual sense, trying to locate Baimei Zhenren.

Even though Leo had advanced to Earth Immortal, Youquan didn’t consider him a real threat. The only one he feared was Baimei.

He even suspected that the treasure that had injured him earlier was given to Leo by Baimei.

If it was Baimei’s doing, he would be extremely cautious. But if it was just some trinket left by a Core Formation cultivator, he wouldn’t have bothered defending against it.

Today, seeing the seal on the Blood Spring broken, Youquan was convinced this was Baimei’s handiwork.

But Baimei hadn’t appeared directly, which meant that breaking the Blood Spring seal had likely cost him.

All Youquan needed was to confirm Baimei’s condition before deciding whether to fight or flee.

“No need to look around. Baimei Zhenren has already ascended to the upper realms. Today, it’s me who will deal with you,” Leo said calmly.

“And us!”

At that moment, Dan Chenzi, wielding the Heavenly Dragon Saber, and Xuantian Zong, brandishing the Sun and Moon Golden Wheels, appeared at Leo’s side.

“You three youngsters think you can kill me, Youquan? Fine, I’ll start with you. I’ll drain your blood and True Essence, and then we’ll see if Baimei can remain hidden!”

Youquan narrowed his eyes, and with a sweeping motion of his hands, the blood from the spring rose up like a massive beast, surging toward the three of them.

Sensing the immense power in the blood, Dan Chenzi and Xuantian Zong didn’t dare hold back.

“Heavenly Dragon Slash!”

“Golden Sun Wheel!”

Dan Chenzi’s Heavenly Dragon Saber spun like a blade wheel, slicing through the blood, while Xuantian Zong’s Golden Sun Wheel formed a protective barrier around himself.

However, the difference in power between them and Youquan was obvious. Their treasures struggled against the blood, almost slipping out of their control.

While they were locked in defense, Leo did not summon any treasures. Instead, he opened his mouth and roared:

“Slow Time!”

A powerful dragon shout erupted from him.

Instantly, everything within the Blood Spring—except for Leo—was caught in a state of slow motion.

The power of a Dragon Shout was proportional to the strength of one’s soul. After transcending the tribulation to become an Earth Immortal, Leo’s soul had evolved, dramatically increasing the potency of his Dragon Shouts.

Though he couldn’t completely freeze time, his time-slowing ability now surpassed that of Alduin, the ancient dragon.

“Unrelenting Force!”

While everything remained in slow motion, Leo unleashed a second Dragon Shout.

An invisible force blasted through the air, forcibly pushing aside the blood, exposing Youquan Blood Demon for a brief moment.

Taking advantage of this opening, Leo surged forward at lightning speed. Blue flames ignited around his body, transforming him into the skeletal form of Ghost Rider.

“Penance Stare!”

The Penance Stare—Ghost Rider’s most powerful move—judged the soul of its target, inflicting damage based on the evil they had committed. Unless the target’s power surpassed that of the Spirit of Vengeance, which contained elemental demon powers, hellfire, and divine forces, they couldn’t escape its judgment.

“Ahhh!!!”

The Youquan Blood Demon let out a terrible, blood-curdling scream as the Penance Stare judged his soul.

He felt his very essence being burned by an incomprehensibly powerful force, and no matter what defensive spells he cast, he couldn’t stop the intrusion of this relentless energy.

If this continued, once his soul was entirely consumed, it would mean the end of him—his soul would be destroyed, and he would die.

“Blood Demon Dissolution!”

In desperation, Youquan activated a technique that damaged his essence but could save his life. His body dissolved into a cloud of blood mist, and he barely managed to expel the force that was burning his soul, with the help of the Blood Spring’s power.

“Who… who are you really?”

Having reformed his body, Youquan now stared at Leo with fear in his eyes. The previous contempt was gone, replaced by deep apprehension.

Had it not been for the Blood Spring’s energy, even using his Blood Demon Dissolution technique might not have saved him from the attack that targeted his very soul.

This cultivator was far from ordinary!

“The essence of Chiyou’s blood is truly formidable.”

Leo raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised that Youquan had managed to survive the Penance Stare. But after a moment, he realized why.

Indeed, Youquan’s power couldn’t surpass the Spirit of Vengeance, which was forged from dimensional demon power. But the essence of Chiyou’s blood was on an even higher level than the Spirit of Vengeance.

By harnessing the Blood Spring’s energy, Youquan was just barely able to dispel the hellfire that the Penance Stare had triggered.

“Junior Brother Qingfeng, strike now while he’s weak!”

Dan Chenzi and Xuantian Zong had just regained their composure. Their treasures had been restrained by the Blood Spring, leaving them focused only on defense.

In the blink of an eye, Leo had not only broken through the Blood Spring’s power but had also severely injured Youquan with a mysterious technique.

Fearing that Youquan might escape, they immediately unleashed their treasures to finish him off.

“Blood Escape!”

Youquan didn’t bother engaging them directly. Instead, he dissolved into blood once again, evading the combined assault of the Heavenly Dragon Slash and the Sun Moon Golden Wheels, fleeing toward the core of the Blood Spring.

If it had only been Dan Chenzi and Xuantian Zong, Youquan wouldn’t have feared them. But with Leo—whose abilities were impossible to gauge—and Baimei possibly lurking in the shadows, it was too risky to continue the fight.

His priority was now to enter the Blood Spring, absorb as much of its essence as possible, and escape underground.

“Trying to run? Get back here!”

Leo’s Microcosmos flared, and he raised his right hand:

“Buddha’s Palm!”

A massive Buddha manifestation appeared behind him. The blood cloud that was Youquan, already nearing the Blood Spring, was yanked back and captured in the palm of the Buddha that Leo had conjured.
