- MWM Chapter 514
“This Chakra Fruit turned out to be even more effective than I expected. No wonder the Otsutsuki clan keeps sending people across the universe to find planets with life to plant these trees,” Leo said with a sigh as he deactivated his Nine Tomoe Yin-Yang Rinnegan Sharingan, reflecting on the changes in his body.
Concentrating the life force and energy of an entire planet into a single fruit and then absorbing it into one’s body produces remarkable results.
And these fruits aren’t a one-time benefit. The effects stack, meaning the more you consume, the stronger you become.
This is why the leaders of the Otsutsuki clan continuously send their kin to plant the Divine Tree on planets with life and bring back the fruits to consume.
Leo realized he had the opportunity to cultivate many such fruits, given that the Marvel Universe is full of planets with life, and there are countless timelines and parallel universes.
However, he had his principles. He couldn’t bring himself to sacrifice all life on a planet just to convert it into a fruit to boost his own power.
But that didn’t matter—he had other ideas in mind.
Through the process he observed with the Divine Tree, he gained a deeper understanding of how it worked. Essentially, the Divine Tree acted like a converter, transforming the essence and life energy of a planet into a consumable fruit. The Otsutsuki’s body served as a catalyst necessary for the transformation process.
So, theoretically, it didn’t have to be a planet. As long as the target was a sufficiently powerful entity, it could be transformed similarly.
Ego the Celestial was a perfect example. Though he was technically a planet, he wasn’t a traditional one, yet the Divine Tree successfully produced a silver fruit with even better results than the standard fruit.
The key is that Ego’s essence is exceptionally powerful and possesses its own consciousness, which allows it to gradually recover even after being drained—unlike a normal planet that would crumble after producing the fruit.
However, the recovery process takes a very long time, making it impossible to exploit the method repeatedly.
Leo even considered using dimensional gods as potential targets for cultivating the Divine Tree if he could capture them, transforming their energy into Chakra Fruits to enhance his power.
He thought of other potential sources too, like the Celestial embryo currently growing on Earth, which had likely accumulated a vast amount of life energy over the years.
And there were also the gods from the Saint Seiya universe, as well as the Daedric Princes and Aedra from the Elder Scrolls universe—perfect candidates for this method.
As for the Otsutsuki clan members needed as catalysts, that was easy to handle. In a decade or so, three more Otsutsuki members were expected to arrive, sent by the higher-ups of their clan. When the time came, if he managed to capture a suitable dimensional god, he could use them as the catalyst.
If he became powerful enough in the future, he might even invade the Otsutsuki’s home world and capture as many catalysts as he wanted.
“Let’s start absorbing the Blood Spring!”
After spending a few more days in the Naruto world, once the time was right, Leo returned to the main world.
The Chakra Fruit had significantly strengthened the entire Tsukuyomi dimension, accelerating the absorption rate of the Blood Spring.
Given the current rate, he estimated it would take three to five years to fully absorb the Blood Spring and begin the initial process of creating life.
In August 2015, in the master bedroom of his home:
“Wanda, you’ve been studying Chakra refinement techniques for almost a year now. You’ve mastered the basics of ninjutsu and some lower-level techniques, so today, I’m going to teach you a new one—a high-level jutsu!” Leo said seriously as he sat on the bed, looking at Wanda.
After returning from the Naruto world and consuming the Chakra Fruit, Leo had also gained mastery over the Divine Tree’s capabilities.
He then planted a Chakra seed within Wanda’s body, granting her the ability to refine both spiritual and physical energy, thereby awakening her ninja potential.
Besides refining the Blood Spring and cultivating his spiritual energy, Leo spent his free time teaching Wanda the hand signs and techniques required for ninjutsu.
Chaos magic, which Wanda originally used, came from the entity Chthon and was external in nature. If Chthon were ever unsealed, Wanda’s chaos magic could easily be stripped away from her.
But ninjutsu was different—it was a personal power that no one could take away.
Learning ninjutsu, however, was not as straightforward for Wanda as learning wizard magic had been.
When learning the magic of the wizarding world, Wanda used her chaos magic to mimic the effects of that world’s spells, so she didn’t even need a wand or incantations to cast them.
But ninjutsu was a completely different power system that required her to learn it gradually from scratch.
Mimicking ninjutsu with chaos magic wouldn’t produce the same results—it would still be magic, not true ninjutsu.
For example, if Wanda cast a fireball using ninjutsu, she could also mimic a fireball using chaos magic. But if she lost her chaos magic, she wouldn’t be able to cast that fireball anymore.
However, if she genuinely learned the fireball jutsu, she could still perform it using chakra and hand signs, even without chaos magic.
Fortunately, while Wanda’s progress with hand signs and ninjutsu was slow, she excelled at refining chakra.
Due to her physical conditioning from regularly training with Leo, Wanda’s body was already far superior to that of ordinary Earth humans and even surpassed the average ninja from the Naruto world.
This made chakra refinement an easy task for her.
“What jutsu is it?” Wanda asked with a curious expression.
Leo grinned mischievously. “It’s a technique I often use—Shadow Clone Jutsu, a B-rank ninjutsu.
Once you master the Shadow Clone Jutsu, and when you can refine even more chakra, I’ll teach you the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu.”
“Alright, let’s get started!” Wanda blushed slightly, nodding quickly without calling out Leo on his real intentions.
She knew exactly why he was so eager to teach her this jutsu.
They had been together long enough that she could easily see through his playful schemes.
“The hand signs for the Shadow Clone Jutsu are simple. Just follow my lead—like this… and then this…”
With Leo’s careful guidance, Wanda began to gain a deeper understanding of the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
After half an hour, Wanda clasped her hands together, forming the seal:
“Shadow Clone Jutsu.”
In an instant, a perfect duplicate of Wanda appeared beside her.
“Impressive!” Leo’s eyes lit up with delight.
The two Wandas exchanged a glance, smirking before suddenly leaping toward Leo.
“Now you’re outnumbered! Let’s see if you can handle a two-on-one situation!” they both said in unison.
Five minutes later, one of the Wandas disappeared with a poof.
Wanda stood frozen in place, embarrassed, while Leo took the opportunity to tease her, saying, “When you first learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu, it doesn’t last as long as mine. If you really want to make me surrender, you’ll need to master the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu at the very least!”
