MWM Chapter 550

This entry is part 551 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“After obtaining Auriel’s Bow, I’ll return to the main world!”

With only a few days left in his small world’s time, Leo didn’t plan to linger. After retrieving Conqueror Kang and his spaceships and making a brief appearance at the Imperial Council, he teleported to Artaeum Island.

With Conqueror Kang and his high-tech spaceships, Ancestral Shenzhou was easily defeated with minimal resistance.

Thus, he was now the undisputed Emperor of Tamriel, a ruler that no one dared to challenge or defy.

As for some of the other tasks he had originally planned but hadn’t yet completed, aside from acquiring Auriel’s Bow, which wouldn’t take much time, the rest he decided to postpone until his next visit.

The connection between the First Dragonborn and the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora was not something that could be resolved quickly.

And as for his magical exchanges with the Psijic Order, those were destined to take considerable time.

In any case, he would maintain the normal flow of time in this world, so when he returned next time, he would still be at this same moment.

His priority now was to focus all his energy on fully merging the Soul Cairn and refining the Elder Scrolls, to further perfect the framework of his Tsukuyomi World as soon as possible.

“Master Boldir, could you help me locate Auriel’s Bow again?”

“Of course.”

Boldir was not surprised at all to see Leo appear before him. Instead, he smiled and nodded.

The Psijic Order existed to protect Nirn, and they intervened whenever a crisis threatened this world, such as during the Magnus Crisis or the potential danger posed by Vampire Lord Harkon.

Since Leo had dealt with Harkon and removed that threat, obtaining Auriel’s Bow was no longer a big deal.

As the incantation was chanted, a massive crystal ball revealed a temple standing atop a glacier.

“Auriel’s Bow is located in Auriel’s Temple in the Forgotten Vale, northwest of here!”

Boldir immediately recognized the temple depicted in the crystal ball.

Leo nodded, bid Boldir farewell, and flew toward the snow-covered Forgotten Vale.

Auriel’s Bow was a divine artifact once wielded by Auriel, the Elven god of the sun and the original deity, said to have once shot the heart of Lorkhan. It was an immensely powerful artifact.

Originally, Leo hadn’t been that concerned with the bow, but according to Harkon, it could also extinguish the sun, which piqued his interest.

After all, he would eventually travel to the world of *The Lotus Lantern: The Prequel*, and it would be a hassle to face the Jade Emperor’s sons, the Golden Crows.

If Auriel’s Bow was effective against the sun, it would make things much easier.

Flying at full speed, he soon arrived at the Forgotten Vale, surrounded by glaciers.

This valley, located far from the continent of Tamriel, was mostly covered in snow and ice. From above, he could see numerous Falmer and their camps scattered throughout the valley.

Ignoring the beast-like Falmer, Leo flew directly to the top of the valley, landing in front of Auriel’s Temple.

Auriel was universally acknowledged by the Elves as the most powerful god, though some of the books Leo had read suggested that Auriel was merely another name for the human god Akatosh.

Whether that was true or not was unclear.

“Boom!”

With a single punch, Leo violently shattered the temple’s magically sealed doors and proceeded toward the central chamber, where Auriel’s Bow was kept.

Along the way, he passed many frozen corpses of both Falmer and Snow Elves.

Judging from the large number of Falmer in the valley and the situation inside the temple, it seemed that at some point, the Falmer had launched a massive assault on the Snow Elves guarding the temple. In the end, all the Snow Elves had perished, and the Falmer had taken over the valley.

The Falmer and Snow Elves originally shared the same ancestry, with the Falmer being Snow Elves who had evolved after being enslaved by the Dwemer.

Why these beast-like Falmer attacked the remaining Snow Elves was a mystery.

Ignoring the various traps, Leo forcibly created passageways through the temple walls and quickly reached the central chamber.

However, in addition to Auriel’s Bow, there was also a Snow Elf sitting on a throne.

“I’ve waited so many years, and finally, a fool tricked by my prophecy has come to take Auriel’s Bow… Wait, why are you alone? Where’s the Daughter of Coldharbour?”

The Snow Elf on the throne looked delighted at first when he saw Leo, but then his expression turned puzzled after glancing behind him.

“Step aside, I’m here for the bow behind you.”

Leo ignored the Snow Elf and walked straight toward the sanctum. He could already feel the immense power radiating from Auriel’s Bow.

“How dare you speak to me, Vyrthur, the High Priest, like that!”

The Snow Elf waved his hand, and countless frozen Falmer in the temple began to break free from the ice and charged at Leo. At the same time, ancient frost giants were summoned from Oblivion.

“How dare you attack the Dragonborn Emperor, who has united the continent!”

Leo shouted back, and with a wave of his hand, several fiery dragons flew out, reducing the Falmer and frost giants to ashes in an instant.

Then, in a flash, he appeared before the Snow Elf on the throne, grabbed him by the throat, and lifted him into the air.

“You’re a vampire!”

Up close, Leo noticed the Snow Elf’s crimson eyes, immediately recognizing him as a vampire.

“Interesting.”

A faint smile of interest appeared on Leo’s face.

“Soul Extraction!”

It didn’t take long for him to learn everything about this Snow Elf.

Vyrthur was once the High Priest of Auriel’s Temple, one of the last of the Snow Elves. However, after being infected and turning into a vampire, he was abandoned by Auriel.

His faith shattered, he swore revenge on Auriel.

But given his power, he could never hope to challenge the most powerful deity, Auriel.

So, he devised a devious plan: he spread a false prophecy to Harkon, waiting in the temple for Harkon to bring the Daughter of Coldharbour to him, so he could use her blood to temporarily taint the sun.

By doing so, he hoped to indirectly weaken Auriel’s influence over this world.

In reality, the prophecy that the Daughter of Coldharbour, combined with Auriel’s Bow, could permanently end the sun’s dominance was false. However, using her blood with Elven arrows would create bloodcursed arrows.

Shooting a bloodcursed arrow at the sun with Auriel’s Bow would indeed darken the sun for one day, turning it into a blood-red sun and blocking sunlight that weakened vampires.
