- MWM Chapter 554
The scene shifted, and Leo found himself back in the Pope’s Hall.
The last time he entered the world of *Saint Seiya*, he obtained the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, helped Athena win the Holy War, and became the new Pope of the Sanctuary.
He had also set up an ambush to capture Siren Sorento and stopped Kanon’s plot to have Hilda, the representative of Asgard, wear the Nibelungen Ring, which would have triggered a war between the God Warriors and the Saints.
“All Gold Saints, come to the Pope’s Hall for a meeting!”
Seated on the Pope’s throne, Leo used his divine sense to send a message to the twelve Zodiac Temples.
Soon, responses echoed in his mind.
“As you command, Your Holiness!”
A short while later, ten Gold Saints, clad in their golden armors, gathered in the Pope’s Hall.
Leo turned to Virgo Shaka:
“Bring Siren Sorento up.”
Next, he explained what had happened in the North with the Asgardians.
“What are your thoughts?” he asked.
“With the Holy War fast approaching, would it not be unwise to engage the Mariners at this time?” Aries Mu calmly voiced his concerns.
Based on Libra Dohko’s observations at Five Old Peaks, the Holy War against Hades was expected to begin within the next two months.
Engaging Poseidon and his Mariners now could weaken the Sanctuary’s forces before the Holy War.
While Poseidon’s physical body had been destroyed by Athena in the last Holy War millennia ago, leaving only his spirit sealed away, his divine power was still incredibly formidable.
With Athena not yet fully awakened, it wasn’t certain that they could defeat Poseidon.
“Mu, it’s not that we want to provoke them. The Mariners are already preparing for battle. In my opinion, we should strike them with overwhelming force so we can focus entirely on the upcoming Holy War!”
Leo Aiolia clenched his fist.
Aiolia’s sentiment quickly garnered the support of most of the Gold Saints.
As the victors of past Holy Wars, the Sanctuary had always been the strongest, and the Gold Saints had never feared any enemy.
Gemini Saga, however, wore a puzzled expression:
“This isn’t normal. According to Sanctuary records, Poseidon wasn’t supposed to awaken for another two hundred years. Why is he waking up so early?”
As the former Pope, Saga had once attempted to overthrow the gods while under the influence of the evil god. He had extensive knowledge of the deities.
“I think the Siren can provide us with the answer.”
Leo smiled and turned to Siren Sorento, who had been brought in by Shaka.
Sorento let out a cold laugh:
“Dream on if you think I’ll tell you anything!”
“You don’t have a choice.”
Without a word, Saga raised his hand and punched Sorento:
“Galaxian Explosion!”
Though Sorento was one of Poseidon’s seven Generals, all of whom had attained the Seventh Sense, and while his strength rivaled that of the Gold Saints, he was no match for someone like Saga, one of the strongest Gold Saints.
There was no surprise in the result—Sorento’s mind fell under Saga’s control, and he revealed everything he knew.
In truth, Sorento wasn’t entirely sure why Poseidon had awakened two hundred years early. He and the other Mariners had simply responded to the call of Poseidon’s Cosmo and journeyed to the Sea Realm.
However, Sorento speculated that Poseidon’s early awakening might be linked to General Sea Dragon Kanon.
After all, the human vessel Poseidon had descended into, Julian Solo, had been brought to him by Kanon. Additionally, Kanon had masterminded the plot to incite a war between the God Warriors and the Saints.
“Kanon?”
Saga was stunned to hear that his brother, whom he had imprisoned in a sea dungeon, was involved.
After regaining his senses, the first thing Saga had done was visit Kanon’s prison, only to find it destroyed and Kanon gone.
“Your Holiness, please allow me to lead the charge into the Sea Realm and deal with the Mariners.”
“It’s too late. Lord Poseidon has already begun using his Cosmo to influence the weather and the seas. Soon, the entire continent will be flooded, and humanity’s sins will be washed away!”
Siren Sorento, having regained her consciousness, sneered as she revealed Poseidon’s plans.
“With the Holy War likely to begin at any moment, and based on records from the last war, Hades personally led the Specters in an attack on the Sanctuary. Therefore, I’m ordering all of you to remain here and guard the Sanctuary. I will deal with Poseidon and the Mariners myself.”
Leo rejected Saga’s request and stood up, announcing his decision.
Because of his own interference, the timeline of events had already been disrupted, and Leo couldn’t predict when the Specters would strike to assassinate Athena.
Thus, it was necessary for all the Gold Saints to stay behind and protect the Sanctuary.
As for Poseidon, Leo wanted to deal with him personally to see if he could use Poseidon’s Cosmo to further strengthen his own.
“Your Holiness, that’s too dangerous!”
The Gold Saints were shocked when they heard that Leo planned to face Poseidon and the Mariners alone.
They knew Leo was powerful—he had even defeated Saga while under the evil god’s control and was likely the strongest Saint at present.
However, the Mariners had six Generals, all of whom had attained the Seventh Sense, and they were led by Poseidon himself, a god.
“It’s fine. I’ve made some progress recently. It shouldn’t be too difficult.”
As Leo spoke, he unleashed his Cosmo, causing the Gold Saints, who had been voicing their concerns, to fall silent.
“What an incredible Cosmo! Besides Athena, I’ve never sensed anything so powerful!”
When Leo had left the Sanctuary previously, he had only just awakened the Seventh Sense, and his Cosmo had been weaker than any of the Gold Saints. His strength back then had come from his mastery of ninjutsu, magic, and physical prowess.
At the time, his overall power had only been slightly stronger than Kanon’s.
But now, having ascended to immortality and created his own dimension, Leo’s power had grown exponentially. His divine essence was far stronger than before.
Though his Cosmo was still at the Seventh Sense, its sheer intensity had far surpassed that of any ordinary Gold Saint.
This time, Leo’s goal was to see if he could advance to the Eighth Sense, Ninth Sense, or even the legendary Tenth Sense, which would allow him to transcend the infinite multiverse and reach a realm of absolute awareness beyond comprehension.
“If there are no objections, then it’s settled.”
Seeing that the Gold Saints were awestruck into silence, Leo grabbed Sorento and instantly teleported away from the Pope’s Hall.
