- In Marvel: I Start by Marrying Scarlett Witch [Complete]
- MWM Chapter 555
In the depths of the North Sea.
Leo floated in the sky, holding Siren Sorento.
“Sorento, this should be the Sea Realm beneath us, correct?” he asked.
“That’s right. But even if you go down, it will only be your death. Do you see the rain pouring from the sky? Starting today, this rain will continue endlessly, and the sea level will rise until all continents are submerged, and all humans are wiped out,” Sorento sneered.
Her Cosmo had been sealed by Leo, leaving her physically powerless, but her sharp tongue remained defiant. As Poseidon’s most loyal General, she believed that after humanity was eradicated from the sinful continents, Poseidon would rebuild a utopian world.
Leo looked at the thick clouds and the pouring rain above and muttered to himself:
“Rain like this all the time is not good. Let’s put an end to it.”
With that, he opened his mouth and unleashed a mighty dragon shout that echoed across the heavens:
“Clear Skies!”
In an instant, the clouds vanished, and the sun shone brightly over the world once again.
Clear Skies was a dragon shout used specifically to disperse clouds, and even the storm clouds summoned by Poseidon’s divine power were no exception.
“How is this possible?” Sorento was stunned.
Leo’s Cosmo had already terrified her back in the Sanctuary, but she had not expected him to also possess the power to clear Poseidon’s world-encompassing storm clouds.
At the same time, deep within Poseidon’s Sea Realm, Julian Solo, the human host for Poseidon’s soul, stood from his throne as two beams of divine light shone from his eyes.
“Someone actually dispersed the storm I summoned with divine power.”
He looked up, his gaze piercing through the endless ocean, and saw Leo floating above, holding Sorento. A slight smile tugged at his lips.
“Interesting. I didn’t expect Athena to have a Saint this powerful.”
Retracting the divine light, Poseidon’s voice resonated throughout the Sea Realm:
“Athena’s Saint has come. See to it that he is properly entertained.”
“What’s going on? Poseidon has awakened early!” General Sea Dragon Kanon, who was guarding the North Atlantic Pillar, felt his face pale upon hearing Poseidon’s voice.
Kanon had been using Poseidon’s name to rally the Mariners, intending to defeat the Sanctuary and unite the world. He had not wanted Poseidon to awaken so soon, as it meant that the control of events would now fall into Poseidon’s hands rather than his own.
“Sanctuary’s Pope has come to meet Lord Poseidon. Show yourself!”
Just as Poseidon’s voice echoed through the ears of the Mariners, a booming voice resounded above the Sea Realm.
It was Leo, who had crossed the ocean and arrived at the Sea Realm with Sorento in tow.
The Sea Realm was originally an enormous sea fortress built by Poseidon above the ocean, spanning over a hundred million square kilometers. It had once been home to the Atlantean civilization, created by Poseidon.
However, during the mythological era, Poseidon had triggered a catastrophe that decimated life on the mainland. In response, eight of Athena’s most powerful Saints joined forces to sink Atlantis to the bottom of the sea.
In order to preserve his fortress and continue vying for control over humanity, Poseidon erected eight Pillars of the Ocean to hold up the sky beneath the sea, allowing his Mariners and a portion of the Atlanteans to continue living in the Sea Realm, awaiting his resurrection.
“How dare you trespass in the Sea Realm!”
As Leo’s feet touched the marble ground of the Sea Realm, several angry voices rang out ahead of him. Immediately, six blazing Cosmo and countless lesser Cosmo surrounded him.
It was the six Generals, clad in their golden Scale Armors, who had come with a large contingent of Mariners to confront him.
“Trespassing in the Sea Realm? It seems your Mariners were the ones to provoke us first.”
Leo tossed Sorento casually in front of them.
“Sorento, I didn’t expect you to fail so miserably at such a simple task. And you call yourself Poseidon’s envoy,” Kanon said with a frown as he saw the powerless Sorento.
He knew that since Sorento had been brought here by the new Pope, his plan to use the God Warriors to weaken the Sanctuary’s forces had clearly failed.
Now, the Sea Realm would face retribution from the entire Sanctuary, which was not good news.
“Beware of this Pope—his Cosmo is incredibly strong!” Sorento gritted her teeth, not rebuking Kanon but warning the other Generals instead.
“Hmph, just a Saint? How could they be a match for us Mariners? Let me, General Sea Horse, take care of you.”
Before Sorento could finish speaking, General Sea Horse, clad in golden Scale Armor, ignited his powerful Cosmo and launched an attack on Leo.
It was clear that whether Saints, Mariners, or God Warriors, those who had attained the Seventh Sense were all highly confident in their abilities. None of them believed they could be defeated by anyone other than a god, not until they actually fought.
“God’s Breath!”
With a powerful surge of Cosmo, General Sea Horse summoned a storm of wind that swept toward Leo.
Leo raised his hand and casually struck the air with a single palm.
Without even using his Cosmo or celestial energy, his raw physical strength alone parted the wind storm in two, without even disturbing the robe of the Pope he wore.
“What?!”
Not only Sea Horse but the other five Generals and the surrounding Mariners all gasped in shock.
To so effortlessly dispel an all-out attack from Sea Horse was impressive enough. But to do it without using any Cosmo was truly beyond comprehension.
Even the most powerful warriors, capable of splitting mountains and shattering the earth, would not have such extraordinary physical strength without their Cosmo.
The main purpose of their Cloths and Scale Armors wasn’t to enhance their power but to protect their bodies.
“I don’t have time to waste on small fry like you. Let’s end this.”
Leo smiled, glanced at the gathered Mariners, and opened his mouth:
“Dragon Soul Rend!”
A powerful dragon roar echoed throughout the Sea Realm, and all the Mariners, including the six Generals, instantly felt as if their souls were being torn apart, overwhelmed by a searing pain akin to death itself.
One by one, they collapsed to the ground, clutching their heads in agony before falling unconscious.
Even the six Generals, the strongest among them, didn’t last more than ten seconds.
With the Mariners lying strewn across the ground, Leo transformed into a streak of light and flew straight toward Poseidon’s palace at the heart of the Sea Realm.
Although he had dispersed Poseidon’s rainstorm, the sea levels were still slowly rising under the influence of the god’s power.
If he didn’t deal with Poseidon soon, large parts of the mainland would still face disaster.
Thus, he didn’t waste any more time with the Mariners and proceeded to stop Poseidon’s spellcasting as quickly as possible.
