- MWM Chapter 558
*Boom!*
Poseidon, caught off guard, was sent flying by the slap, crashing into the temple’s thick, power-infused walls, leaving cracks in the solid structure.
As he hit the ground and stood up, clutching his face, Poseidon let out an enraged roar:
“I’ll kill you!”
His will awakened to 60%, causing his Cosmo to surge several times over, pushing Leo’s Cosmo entirely back into his body. Only his strong physical body allowed him to barely remain standing.
“Sagittarius Gold Cloth!”
Once the Cloth was donned, the power of his Cosmo surged back to the surface.
However, Poseidon’s next attacks became even fiercer.
It was clear that after a week of continuous battle and now being slapped across the face, Poseidon’s fury had completely ignited.
“I block, I block, and I block again!”
Leo increased the output of his celestial energy, managing once again to block all of Poseidon’s attacks, maintaining the stalemate.
His Cosmo was advancing at an unimaginable pace, and he wanted to maintain this progress for as long as possible.
“I will make you feel the wrath of a god!”
This time, however, Poseidon wasn’t going to let Leo have his way. Overwhelmed by rage, his will awakened completely—not just to 80%, but all the way to 100%.
Fully awakened, Poseidon’s Cosmo grew so powerful that the entire Earth trembled. His eyes turned golden, and divine lightning surged around him. Even the temple and the seven pillars began to crack under the pressure of his overwhelming presence.
“In the name of Poseidon, the Sea God, I sentence you to death!”
An immense energy erupted from Poseidon’s trident, as if it aimed to obliterate not only Leo’s body but his very soul.
“Why so worked up? It’s just a slap. Your face isn’t even swollen. Is this really necessary?” Leo muttered, seeing Poseidon’s divine will fully awakened. He knew it was time to end his Cosmo training session.
At this point, Poseidon’s Cosmo had grown far too strong, and releasing his own Cosmo would only result in it being instantly crushed, making further training impossible.
“Time to seal him away!”
Though it was a pity to cut it short, Leo wasn’t too concerned. After all, the Underworld still had two Twin Gods, and their strength was much weaker than Poseidon’s. They would be perfect for continuing his plan.
Once the Twin Gods were no longer effective, he could return to Poseidon. And when Poseidon was no longer useful, he’d move on to Hades.
By the time he had worked through all of them, his Cosmo would be close to that of a god, greatly increasing his chances of mastering the Ninth and Tenth Senses.
“Tsukuyomi!”
With the Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan at his brow, Leo activated Tsukuyomi, directly sucking the furious Poseidon into the Tsukuyomi World.
“Suppress him!”
After pulling Poseidon into Tsukuyomi World, Leo followed closely and began using the laws of Tsukuyomi to suppress Poseidon’s Cosmo.
“You’ve created your own world, just like Hades. You’re not a mere mortal, are you?”
Poseidon’s face changed immediately upon realizing he had been pulled into Tsukuyomi World and his Cosmo was being suppressed to only 70% of its full power.
This wasn’t unfamiliar to him. In Hades’ Underworld, without understanding the concept of death, one’s power would be passively suppressed by the laws of that realm.
But only gods could create such worlds—surely Leo couldn’t be human.
“I’m no god. I’m an immortal,” Leo replied, facing Poseidon. He activated his Three-Headed, Six-Armed Susano’o form and summoned a multitude of magical artifacts, launching an all-out assault.
Poseidon snorted and ignited his Cosmo, meeting the attack head-on.
“Even if you were a god, it wouldn’t matter. There’s a hierarchy among gods, and I, Poseidon, am among the oldest and most powerful.”
“If you had your full physical body, I’d admit I wouldn’t be a match. But that’s not the case right now!” Leo laughed, knocking Poseidon’s trident aside with his golden spear. After an intense battle, he used a stripping magic spell to forcibly remove Poseidon’s Scale Armor.
“Dragon Soul Rend!”
With Poseidon’s Scale Armor no longer protecting him, Leo unleashed a dragon roar, sending Poseidon into a soul-crushing stupor. He then activated the Tsukuyomi World’s Rinnegan, using its soul-extraction ability to rip Poseidon’s soul from Julian Solo’s body.
“Seal him!”
Golden ropes flew out, wrapping around Poseidon’s soul and sealing him tightly. Before Poseidon could resist, Leo quickly applied multiple layers of seals, further binding him and locking him away in the Tsukuyomi World’s gravity zone.
If Poseidon had been in his full form, Leo wouldn’t have stood a chance. Not even with Tsukuyomi World could he have contained the Sea God.
But without his true body, and relying on the mortal vessel of Julian Solo, plus being awakened two hundred years too early by Kanon, Poseidon’s strength was far less than half of what it should have been.
This allowed Leo to seize the opportunity and seal him in Tsukuyomi World.
“Poseidon’s trident—this is quite the divine weapon,” Leo mused as he took hold of the Sea God’s trident after sealing his soul.
The trident was Poseidon’s most powerful artifact. When powered by Cosmo, it could unleash devastating energy attacks and even control the seas.
Poseidon had been able to raise the ocean levels and flood the continents not only because he controlled the laws of the sea but also with the aid of this divine trident.
After collecting Poseidon’s trident and Scale Armor, Leo left Tsukuyomi World and returned to the temple.
Just then, several familiar Cosmos were quickly approaching the temple.
“Pope, are you alright?”
It was Saga, Mu, Shaka, Aiolia, and Milo—five Gold Saints rushing over to check on him.
Poseidon’s fully awakened Cosmo had been so powerful that it had shocked Saori Kido and the Saints in the Sanctuary. When Leo’s Cosmo suddenly disappeared, Saori had sent the five Gold Saints to investigate and ensure things didn’t spiral out of control.
“I’m fine. I’ve sealed Poseidon. Let’s head back to the Sanctuary,” Leo said with a smile, releasing the unconscious Julian Solo.
“The Pope is becoming more and more terrifying in his power,” the five Saints thought in unison, marveling at Leo’s unscathed appearance.
They had all felt the immense power of Poseidon’s fully awakened Cosmo, even from such a great distance.
They had come prepared with Athena’s sacred jar, meant to seal Poseidon, but Leo had handled it all by himself.
In addition to being awestruck by Leo’s strength, the Saints felt reassured. With the Holy War looming, the stronger Leo was, the better their chances of victory.
