MWM Chapter 565

This entry is part 566 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

Standing off to the side, Hypnos watched without expression as his brother, Thanatos, unleashed his attack.

“If you do that, you’ll end up killing the remaining Specters as well.”

Thanatos smiled cruelly, “If they lose to humans in the Underworld, then they’re worthless. Their deaths mean nothing. As long as the two of us are here, all enemies will be wiped out with ease.”

Hypnos could only shake his head in silent resignation. Although he didn’t enjoy killing, he was just as merciless when it came to serving Hades.

“Everyone, be careful!”

Sensing the terrifying black hole descending from the twin gods above, Shion and Dohko shouted a warning to the other Gold Saints:

“Let’s all attack together!”

The others might not fully understand the fearsome power of the twin gods, but the two surviving Gold Saints from the last Holy War knew all too well. Back then, simply sealing the spirit of Thanatos, who had possessed a human body, had cost the life of the Pope at the time, Sage.

Moreover, during that battle, Thanatos had completely overpowered them. Only through a carefully devised plan, using a blood talisman created by the previous Athena, an altar charged with cosmos energy for over two centuries, and Athena’s relics, had they been able to seal him.

In the records of the Sanctuary, the greatest devastation in every Holy War had not come from the Specters, but from the twin gods.

Whenever the twin gods made their move, the Saints of the Sanctuary inevitably suffered heavy losses.

In response to Shion and Dohko’s call, all the Gold Saints launched their most powerful attacks at the black hole. Astonishingly, all of their attacks were absorbed by it without a trace.

The terrifying power of a god in full strength was unfathomable!

“The true gods of this world are indeed something else,” Leo muttered as he sensed the energy radiating from the black hole created by Thanatos.

“But thankfully, I’m not far behind.”

He fully ignited the power of his cosmos, surpassing the limits of the Seventh Sense. The Sagittarius Gold Cloth he wore began to change under the force of his cosmos, combined with the power of Athena’s blood.

The originally golden armor gradually transformed into a shining platinum hue, becoming more exquisite and regal. Even the wings on the armor grew larger and more magnificent.

The Sagittarius Gold Cloth had officially evolved into the Sagittarius God Cloth.

With the power of the God Cloth, Leo’s cosmos expanded more than tenfold in an instant.

“Get back!”

He teleported in front of the black hole and, with a single kick, sent it hurtling back toward the sky. His cosmos, now amplified by the God Cloth, combined with his overwhelming physical strength, was enough to reverse the deadly force.

“How could a mere human’s cosmos grow to such a degree?” Thanatos waved his hand, dispelling the black hole, but for the first time, his gaze held a trace of astonishment as he looked at Leo.

Even Hypnos, who had been watching calmly from the sidelines, furrowed his brow.

“So, you are the current Pope of the Sanctuary?”

Hypnos looked down at Leo from above, his voice cold and lofty.

With a smile, Leo nodded, “That’s right. Today, I will lead the Saints of the Sanctuary and assist Athena in ending Hades once and for all. This Holy War, which has raged since the mythological era, will come to an end.”

“How dare you defy the great Lord Hades? I’ll send your soul to eternal torment in the Eighth Hell!” Thanatos growled, teleporting directly in front of Leo and striking with his fist.

The power of a god wasn’t just in their cosmos; their physical strength was also beyond ordinary comprehension. In his true form, Thanatos could severely injure a Gold Saint with just a flick of his finger.

“Too slow, and not strong enough. It seems that even you, a second-rate god, aren’t that impressive after all,” Leo sneered as he caught Thanatos’ fist mid-air.

In truth, the punch was incredibly powerful, and even Leo found it difficult to withstand. But his taunts were deliberate—he knew how to provoke the god, hoping to cause him to lose focus and make a mistake.

As expected, Thanatos was enraged. He abandoned the use of his cosmos and threw another punch with his free hand.

Leo grinned, grabbing the second fist as well.

“Now you’re not going anywhere!”

In an instant, the Nine Tomoe Rinnegan on his forehead activated, unleashing a powerful gravitational force aimed directly at Thanatos.

Sensing the immense power of the Moon Reading World within the Rinnegan, Thanatos’ heart surged with alarm. He didn’t know what technique his opponent was using, but his instincts screamed that he couldn’t allow it to succeed.

However, with both of his hands firmly held by Leo, Thanatos couldn’t break free. He could only fuel his cosmos to the maximum in a desperate attempt to resist the pull.

“Dragon Soul Rend!”

A powerful dragon roar erupted from Leo, striking Thanatos at point-blank range. There was no time for Thanatos to evade, and he took the full brunt of the attack, leaving him dazed.

With Thanatos’ cosmos momentarily halted, Leo easily pulled him into the Moon Reading World.

“All Saints who have awakened the Seventh Sense, gather around.”

After sealing Thanatos within the Moon Reading World, Leo summoned all the Saints whose cosmos had reached the Seventh Sense and drew them into the Moon Reading World as well.

Facing both Thanatos and Hypnos alone, Leo had a good chance of victory thanks to the Moon Reading World. But when it came to fighting the true form of Hades later, it would be a different story.

His plan was to have the Saints sharpen their skills against Thanatos within the Moon Reading World, using the god as a tool to help them evolve. With this method, there was a good chance that some of the Saints would awaken their own God Cloths.

“I can’t sense Thanatos’ cosmos anymore. Where did you take him?”

Noticing the sudden disappearance of his brother’s cosmos, Hypnos finally lost his calm demeanor and attacked Leo.

Splitting his focus to control the Moon Reading World and suppress Thanatos, while also granting the Saints various enhancements and healing buffs, Leo remained fearless as he confronted Hypnos.

Now that Hypnos was alone, it was the perfect opportunity to use him to further refine his own cosmos.

And so, an intense battle erupted in the skies above Hades’ palace. Meanwhile, down below, Kanon, Shion, and the Saints who had not yet reached the Seventh Sense continued to annihilate the remaining Specters and captured Pandora, the commander of the Underworld forces.

The battle raged on for two full hours.

“I never expected that a mere human could reach such heights,” Hypnos panted, his expression serious as he gazed at Leo.

Although his cosmos far exceeded that of Leo, the strange techniques and weapons that Leo employed were too numerous, and his physical strength—impossibly surpassing even that of a god—was baffling.

“But it’s time to end this. Behold my ultimate technique, Eternal Sleep!”

Realizing he couldn’t defeat Leo through conventional means, Hypnos unleashed his most powerful move, Eternal Sleep—a technique so potent that even gods couldn’t resist its effects.
