MWM Chapter 588

This entry is part 589 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Hahaha, I, the Three-Headed Divine Dragon, am finally free!”

As soon as the Daoist talisman of Yuanshi Tianzun was lifted, the Three-Headed Divine Dragon broke free, transforming into a massive three-headed dragon, ready to flee from the terrifying Mount Kunlun as fast as possible.

“Trying to escape?”

With a wave of his hand, Leo sent out a golden rope that instantly bound the Three-Headed Dragon tightly. With a strong tug, he dragged it down.

“Who are you people? What do you want?”

The Three-Headed Dragon roared in anger while gathering its energy to break free from the golden rope.

“Three-Headed Divine Dragon, hand over the Ancient Dragon Pearl you stole from the Heavenly Court,” Leo demanded bluntly.

The Ancient Dragon Pearl wasn’t just a typical dragon pearl found in today’s lesser dragon clans. It was the pearl of a primordial divine dragon from the Dragon-Han Calamity era. Even a simple creature like the Heavenly Dog, if it swallowed this pearl, could instantly gain wisdom and become a formidable demon capable of fighting the Three-Headed Divine Dragon.

Having gifted several weapons, Leo wasn’t about to miss out. This Ancient Dragon Pearl was perfect for enhancing his Moon Reading World, aiding his progression to the Great Luo Golden Immortal.

“Want the Ancient Dragon Pearl? Impossible!”

The Three-Headed Divine Dragon, realizing their intent to take the pearl it had painstakingly stolen, refused outright. It planned to rely on the pearl to ascend to a primordial divine dragon—how could it possibly give it up?

Leo merely smiled and turned to Nezha:

“Beat this dragon to a pulp until it hands over the pearl. If it still refuses, peel its skin and extract its tendons. Then take the pearl by force!”

“Hahaha, that’s my specialty!”

Nezha laughed heartily, brandishing Poseidon’s Trident and launching a relentless assault on the dragon. He had always despised dragons.

Though the Three-Headed Divine Dragon was at the Golden Immortal level, barely reaching the peak with the pearl’s boost, Nezha’s lotus body was at the Taiyi Golden Immortal level—a whole tier above—and wielding the powerful trident.

Even without Leo’s restraint, Nezha alone could easily overpower the dragon.

True to form, after being beaten to a pulp, the dragon finally relented, crying out:

“I’ll give it up! But you must promise not to kill me!”

“Agreed. I promise not to kill you,” Leo nodded with a smile.

Seeing Leo, the leader, agree, the Three-Headed Divine Dragon spat out the Ancient Dragon Pearl from its body.

“Alright, you’ve got the pearl. Can you let me go now?”

“Let you go? I promised not to kill you. When did I say I’d let you go?”

Leo stored the pearl in his Moon Reading World, refining it as he spoke, looking at the dragon with feigned surprise.

The dragon fumed, but before it could react, Nezha drove the trident into its head again.

“I heard you can transform into a weapon. Do it now, or I’ll strip your tendons and boil your flesh!”

“You… You’re breaking your promise!”

The dragon looked at Leo with a sorrowful expression.

Leo responded coldly:

“I never lied. Not killing you doesn’t mean I have to set you free. I’ll keep your soul alive, burning it daily in my alchemy furnace. As long as your soul remains, you won’t be dead.”

“Fine… I’ll transform,” the dragon conceded, seeing it had no way out. With a twist of its body, it used its innate magic to turn into a three-pronged, double-edged blade.

Leo grabbed the weapon, quickly inscribing a sealing rune on it, preventing the dragon from reverting to its original form without his permission.

Given its history of harming mortals, a seal was necessary to prevent future incidents.

“Yang Jian, this will be your weapon,” Leo said, tossing the blade to Yang Jian.

Yang Jian swung it a few times, his face lighting up with joy:

“Thank you, Senior Brother! It feels perfect!”

“No, from now on, you can’t call me Senior Brother anywhere or at any time. I am the Dark Sun Demon Lord, a master of dark sorcery. Nezha is the Sea Overturning Demon Lord, a spirit born of a lotus, skilled in close combat.

We five have sworn brotherhood. I’m the eldest, Yang Jiao is the second, you’re the third, Yang Chan is the fourth, and Nezha is the fifth.

Remember this well,” Leo instructed, looking at the others.

“Understood, Big Brother!”

The four of them exchanged glances before bowing to Leo in unison.

“Good. The time has come. Let’s head to the Southern Heavenly Gate!”

With everything in place, Leo led the five towards the Southern Heavenly Gate.

“Halt! Who goes there?”

The two heavenly soldiers guarding the gate raised their weapons, barring the unfamiliar group.

Yang Jian stepped forward, wielding the three-pronged blade, and shouted:

“We are the Yang siblings—Yang Jiao, Yang Jian, and Yang Chan—here to avenge our father’s death and our mother’s imprisonment. Step aside, or face death!”

“What? The Yang siblings!”

Delighted by the opportunity, the guards brandished their weapons, eager to apprehend the fugitives.

Though five years had passed on Earth, only five days had passed in the Heavenly Court. Just the previous day, the Jade Emperor had reprimanded the Golden Crow for failing to capture the siblings.

Now, with the fugitives delivering themselves, the guards saw this as a golden opportunity.

Unfortunately, despite their skills, the guards were merely at the Celestial Immortal level. Even the weakest of the Yang siblings, Yang Chan, could defeat them with ease.

Heavenly soldiers often consisted of mortal warriors who had accumulated merit and chose to serve the Heavenly Court after death. Others were cultivators or wandering immortals who sought refuge in the court. True celestial immortals usually had higher ranks and more freedom.

Thus, Yang Jian could easily overpower the guards without much resistance.

“Jade Emperor, give back my father’s life!”

After dispatching the gate guards, Yang Jian shouted once more. The five of them charged through the Southern Heavenly Gate, clashing with the arriving heavenly soldiers.
