MWM Chapter 597

This entry is part 598 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“Who are you?”

Arishem asked, his tone solemn as he gazed at the towering figure of Leo, sensing the immense power within him.

Leo responded politely,

“I am a human from Earth. I discovered a creature within the Earth’s core that was about to absorb the planet’s life force for its own emergence. To protect my home, I destroyed it.

For that, I am deeply sorry, but I hope you can forgive my actions, done out of necessity to save my planet.”

Internally, Leo entertained the thought of capturing Arishem into his Moonlit World for refinement. Compared to the Celestial embryo, a multiversal entity like the Celestial Supreme would significantly enhance his efforts in evolving the twenty-four heavens.

However, he refrained from taking such drastic action unless absolutely necessary. The Celestials were created by Eternity to populate the universe with life and stars. Destroying an embryo was one thing; eliminating a Celestial Supreme would provoke the entire Marvel multiverse.

He recalled the fate of Knull, the God of Symbiotes, a being of multiversal peak strength who suffered greatly for killing an ancient Celestial. Leo had no intention of inviting a similar fate upon himself, or the ire of the Marvel universe like Knull or Chthon.

Thus, he hoped Arishem would let the matter rest. If not, at most, he would repel or seal Arishem but refrain from killing or absorbing him. Given his current power, Arishem was no match for him.

After a brief silence, Arishem responded,

“A place like Earth, capable of nurturing someone like you, must have value. Very well, I will let this matter go. I hope you will protect this universe as you have protected your planet.”

Tiamut was gone, and killing this formidable human wouldn’t reverse that. Besides, Arishem wasn’t certain he could defeat Leo. The human’s reasons were justified—he acted to save his world, not out of a desire for destruction, and had sincerely apologized.

Most importantly, a battle between them could cause significant damage to the universe, something Arishem wished to avoid.

“Thank you,” Leo replied, relieved by Arishem’s decision not to seek vengeance for Tiamut.

In the end, strength prevailed. Had Leo not reached his current level of power, the outcome might have been far less amicable.

Just as Leo prepared to bid farewell to Arishem, a shadowy figure, embodying countless stars, suddenly appeared between them.

“Arishem greets Eternity!”

The Celestial Supreme immediately bowed with reverence.

“Eternity!”

Leo was startled.

Eternity was the embodiment of the entire Marvel universe, a multiversal pinnacle entity. In essence, they were inside Eternity. Each individual universe was a fragment of Eternity, and the collective multiverse formed its true body.

To draw a parallel, if his Moonlit World and twenty-four heavens developed a consciousness, that entity would be akin to Eternity. And Leo himself would be comparable to the One-Above-All.

The Living Tribunal, overseeing the multiverse, would be like an appointed manager authorized by him to govern the Moonlit World and twenty-four heavens.

“Arishem, continue your work. I wish to speak with him,”

Eternity instructed.

The Celestial Supreme respectfully nodded and returned to his original duties of creating stars and planets.

Once Arishem departed, Eternity addressed Leo,

“I am aware that you do not belong to this world. However, this is not a concern. Across my countless forms, beings like you appear frequently. As long as you benefit my existence, I have no reason to remove you.”

“Honored Eternity, I don’t quite understand what you mean,”

Leo replied, feigning ignorance, though Eternity’s words carried significant implications.

Eternity continued calmly,

“To put it in terms you can grasp, this entire world is my body. Each universe is akin to a cell—constantly emerging and fading.

The timeline you inhabit is a newly formed cell.

You are an outsider entering this cell, moving between different parts of my body.

This is not an issue. Many like you exist across my body. Most perish before they mature. Few reach your level of development.

However, as long as you do not become a virus corrupting my cells, I will not destroy you. In fact, if you help eliminate the viruses within me, I would be grateful and offer you rewards.”

Leo drew a sharp breath. Eternity’s words confirmed it—he knew Leo was a transmigrator. And not just him; many others like him existed across various Marvel universes.

Most, it seemed, never survived long enough to matter. But he was among the rare few who had grown powerful enough to warrant this conversation.

Eternity’s visit, therefore, was both a warning and a reminder of the consequences of misuse of his power.

“Of course. As you can see, I have always worked to maintain peace in the world and universe. You can rest assured I will not become a virus within your body,”

Leo assured.

“Good. If you are willing, help me eradicate some of these viruses. I will reward you handsomely,”

Eternity said, presenting a request.

“These viruses?”

Leo asked, intrigued.

Eternity clarified,

“Beings like Chthon, Dormammu, Nightmare, and Shuma-Gorath. They continuously damage and consume my cells.”

“Why don’t you deal with them yourself?”

Leo inquired cautiously.

Eternity explained,

“Just as a human body relies on its immune system to eliminate viruses, my body has mechanisms to address such threats. But when a virus becomes too powerful, even my immune cells struggle. At that point, my intervention is limited.”
