**Chapter 108: Sudden Change! Major Event!!**

Fang Ye was stunned.

He hadn’t expected the Education Department official to hand him the most important reward directly.

It was obvious without even opening it.

The box surely contained the Super Soldier Serum!

At that moment, all eyes were on Fang Ye, full of envy.

The Super Soldier Serum was incredibly rare; there were only a few vials worldwide. Before the competition, no one had anticipated that such a precious item would be offered as the championship prize.

One of Zhao Linger’s main motivations for winning the championship had also been to obtain the serum.

Of course, Zhao Linger had proven herself honorable; she accepted her defeat gracefully after the team battle without any objections.

The official encouraged Fang Ye, “Young man, keep striving. The nation—and even all humanity—needs people like you to grow and become strong.”

With these words, he stepped off the stage amid applause, marking the end of the award ceremony.

“Let’s give another round of applause to these three schools!” said the host. “Additionally, all schools in the top ten, please meet with the local military afterward for briefing. Your students have also earned an opportunity for an expedition to the Forbidden Zone…”

Just as he said this, a staff member rushed onto the stage and whispered urgently in the host’s ear.

The host’s face turned pale with alarm, his eyes full of fear.

However, as the host of such an important event, he quickly regained his composure. After whispering a few more words to the staff member, he took up the microphone, his face somber, and announced to the crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve just received alarming news: a group of beasts has broken through our defense line and is approaching our location!”

As his words echoed through the hall, silence fell over the crowd.

Then, like a stone thrown into water, the hall erupted into chaos.

All the spectators were panic-stricken, their faces filled with fear.

Some of the more timid ones began to scream, causing the scene to become increasingly chaotic.

Seeing the crowd on the verge of panic, the host urgently called out, “Please remain calm! The beasts are still over ten kilometers away, giving us enough time to evacuate. Please exit the hall in an orderly fashion—no rushing, no pushing. Transport is waiting outside to safely escort you away!”

Despite his repeated instructions for order, most of the crowd was frantically pushing toward the exits.

At that moment, Fang Ye’s eyes narrowed as he watched.

Merely hearing that beasts were approaching, still at a distance, was enough to nearly drive these spectators mad with fear.

This showed just how much ordinary people feared these beasts in this world.

Since he’d arrived here, Fang Ye had yet to encounter beasts and had almost forgotten about the ever-present threat they posed. The sight before him reminded him of the constant danger people faced.

But still…

How had these beasts managed to breach the defense line and enter human territory?

What had happened on the front lines?

Was this the start of a new beast wave?

“Fang Ye, Su Ziqiu, come with us quickly!” Yan Tai’s urgent voice interrupted Fang Ye’s thoughts.

Fang Ye turned to see Yan Tai’s serious expression, his eyes filled with concern.

‘Yan Tai’s strength isn’t weak. He’s shown his skills before while teaching tactics… If even he is this anxious, then these beasts must indeed be terrifying!’ Fang Ye thought as he began following Yan Tai and the others, preparing to leave.

Just then, the host seemed to receive another message and quickly announced, “Teachers from all schools, please stay! The military has requested your assistance in holding back the beasts. They need your help to defend against them!”

Anyone qualified to teach at a martial academy was certainly no weakling.

But for the military to call upon these teachers even before the beasts arrived was a clear indication of the gravity of the situation.

It made sense.

Right behind the Forbidden Zone was a bustling city with a population of over seven million.

If the beasts managed to break through the defense line and wreak havoc in the city, it would be catastrophic.

Summoning the teachers’ strength to assist was a wise decision.

But!!

For the teachers, this was far from good news.

To be frank, most of them had chosen to teach in order to avoid the risk of fighting beasts. If they’d wanted to kill beasts, joining the military and heading to the front lines was a much better-paying option.

Now, with the military calling on them, how must they feel?

And in front of so many people, refusing was hardly an option.

Though the host’s words were polite, framing the request as voluntary assistance rather than a forced conscription…

Everyone was watching!

Their students were there too.

As teachers, could they turn their backs on their duties and lose all honor?

To abandon their responsibilities now would mean losing all respect from their students and colleagues.

Teachers were quick to grasp the situation.

After a moment of silence, the first to step up was a vice principal from Capital University.

“These old bones haven’t had a workout in a long time. It’s about time!” he said, then turned to his colleagues. “Capital University teachers, let’s go slay some beasts!”

Hearing this, a female teacher sighed and turned to Zhao Linger and the other students. “Linger, I’m entrusting the students to you. Lead them in evacuating with the others…”

Before she could finish, Zhao Linger interrupted, “Teacher, I’m strong too! I want to go with you to fight the beasts!”

Her voice was unwavering.

The female teacher patted Zhao Linger’s head, smiling. “Good girl, your duty now is to study hard and grow stronger. One day, we’ll rely on you. Right now, protecting us from the beasts is our responsibility!”

“Go now!”

Her tone turned firm.

Zhao Linger’s eyes reddened, but she didn’t argue, instead leading her classmates away.

Similar scenes unfolded at other schools.

At Martial Saint Academy.

The director of education sighed, saying, “Let’s go. We mustn’t disgrace ourselves in front of the students!”

He noticed a few teachers looking hesitant.

Martial Saint Academy had just won the national championship.

At a time like this…

If word got out that Martial Saint Academy’s teachers had fled out of fear of the beasts, it would be a stain on the academy’s reputation, rendering their hard-won championship meaningless.

The director couldn’t allow this!

Yan Tai turned to Fang Ye, Su Ziqiu, and the others, saying, “Join the others and evacuate!”

Then he looked specifically at Fang Ye, adding seriously, “Take care of your classmates for me.”

Everyone else looked at Fang Ye, waiting for his response.

Faced with Yan Tai’s request, Fang Ye could only nod in agreement.
