**Chapter 110: Assassination! Flying Beast Attack!!**

Meanwhile, in a dimly lit room, several men with stern expressions and muscular builds were having a conversation.

“That teacher from Martial God Academy just passed on information: a beast broke through the border defenses and is heading toward the Forbidden Zone canyon. The teachers have been temporarily drafted by the local military!”

“Is the intel reliable? If so, it’s a golden opportunity!”

“What’s everyone think?”

“Of course, we can’t let such a chance slip by!”

“Third Brother is right. That kid has been hiding out in school all this time. If we miss this opportunity, who knows when we’ll complete the contract?”

“I agree.”

After reaching an agreement, the men quickly left the room to take action.

“Alright, let’s get moving… but be cautious. That kid just won the national championship. Taking him down is bound to cause a stir, so don’t get caught. After this job, we’ll head to Mangu for a vacation!”

“Boss, what about Zhao’s and Lu’s sides?”

“The commission is doubled!”

“Heh, then let’s get it done…”

On the highway, the bus suddenly screeched to a halt.

Everyone inside was startled, thinking something had happened.

“What’s going on?”

“Why did we stop?”

Amid the concerned murmurs, the driver said helplessly, “There’s a traffic jam ahead. We can’t go any further.”

Hearing this, the passengers looked outside.

Sure enough, the road was packed with vehicles as far as the eye could see, every lane, including the emergency lane, clogged with cars.

Drivers were honking, but the traffic remained at a standstill.

Some people, sensing the urgency, had already started abandoning their vehicles to escape on foot.

Seeing this, the passengers on the bus shouted, “Driver, open the door! We’ll walk.”

The driver opened the door and followed suit, leaving the bus behind.

“Brother Fang, what should we do?” Liu Qiangsheng asked.

“We follow them,” Fang Ye replied.

Staying on the bus was a fool’s move now.

Zheng Bing suddenly remarked, “Brother Fang, you look different from before… almost like a new person.”

Su Ziqiu laughed. “Fang Ye used the Super Soldier Serum, so his appearance changed a bit.”

Everyone nodded in understanding.

“The serum is amazing! It made Brother Fang look so handsome,” Zhao Shengnan said, her eyes practically sparkling as she looked Fang Ye over.

The others were also a bit envious upon seeing his transformation.

“Come on, let’s go!” Fang Ye stood up and joined the group in getting off the bus.

He usually wore loose-fitting clothes, and now, with his broader frame, the clothes seemed a size smaller but fit snugly, highlighting his well-toned physique.

“Oh my… that body…” Zhao Shengnan nearly drooled.

Next to her, Zheng Bing teased, “Shengnan, give it up; you can’t compete with the class president.”

Over the past few days, it had become clear to everyone that Su Ziqiu and Fang Ye’s relationship was more than that of mere classmates. Zhao Shengnan glared at Zheng Bing, “I’m just admiring him; mind your own business!”

Meanwhile, more people were abandoning their vehicles and walking with their families, filling the road with the sounds of crying children, complaining women, and scolding men.

It was chaotic, but people were focused on escaping rather than hindering each other.

“Which way should we go?” Su Ziqiu asked Fang Ye.

Before he could answer, a voice called out from nearby, “Fang Ye!”

It was the group from Capital University.

“Let’s stick together,” Zhao Linger said. “We can look out for each other.”

Fang Ye nodded in agreement.

Zheng Bing and the others were glad, as the Capital University students were strong, making the journey with them safer. Only Su Ziqiu frowned slightly.

Along the way, Zhao Linger walked up to Fang Ye and asked, “Fang Ye, during the match, why couldn’t my psychokinesis affect you? Do you have some kind of special ability?”

She had been wondering about this for a while. She’d wanted to ask him back on the bus.

Even now, she was bothered by her defeat, unable to accept it fully.

“Yes, I have a way to break free from psychokinesis,” Fang Ye replied smoothly, lying without batting an eye.

He had to lie.

If he told Zhao Linger that he had simply resisted her psychokinesis with his incredible strength and physique, she would be even more skeptical… They were all freshmen, after all—why should his attributes be so much higher than everyone else’s?

Hearing this, Zhao Linger frowned slightly.

It was the most reasonable explanation, but…

Something felt off.

She glanced over at Fang Ye and was struck by how much more attractive he looked now than during the competition.

In both physique and appearance, he was exceptional.

Zhao Linger understood that this transformation was due to the Super Soldier Serum.

Of course, she wasn’t so shallow as to fall for someone just because of their looks.

She’d had plenty of handsome suitors—some even better-looking than Fang Ye.

But she hadn’t been interested in any of them.

In her view, her future partner would need not only looks but also great strength.

Fang Ye was strong, but still far from her standards.

Zhao Linger believed she’d surpass him soon enough.

After that, they both fell silent.

Eventually, they reached the source of the traffic jam and saw the reason for the pileup.

A car accident had caused the jam.

Apparently, a female driver in a private car had realized she’d forgotten something and abruptly attempted a U-turn on the highway, driving against traffic…

A bus couldn’t swerve in time and had hit the roadside greenery, flipping over and blocking the entire road.

Fortunately, no one was killed, though several passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries.

At the scene, the female driver stood with her hands on her hips, loudly arguing with the bus driver and several passengers, insisting the bus driver was at fault.

A few bystanders murmured, “Why couldn’t she have hit her head…”

“Let’s not get sidetracked. Let’s keep moving,” Fang Ye called out, urging Zheng Bing and the others to continue forward.

At that moment, a piercing screech echoed from above.

“Caw!”

The sound was loud and shrill, sharp enough to make everyone stop and look up.

In the sky, a three-headed monstrous bird was diving down toward them…

Its three pairs of sharp eyes had already locked onto the fleeing crowd.
