**Chapter 140: The Terror of the Magma-Magma Fruit**

“Admiral Akainu has entered the fray! These sea scum are as good as dead!”

“He must kill that brat first! He’s slaughtered countless Marines—avenge us, Admiral Akainu!”

“Exterminate every last one of them!”

“Kill!!!”

The Marines’ morale soared as Akainu stepped onto the battlefield. Fueled by rage and a sense of justice, they charged forward, clashing swords with their pirate foes.

“**Ninth Division, Eleventh Division, hold them off… Wait, Little Oars, what are you doing here?!”

The Decalvan brothers, busy coordinating the defense, turned toward the thunderous commotion behind them.

Towering at several dozen meters tall, Little Oars Jr. wielded a colossal broadsword, each step he took leaving shattered ground in his wake.

“**Ace, I’m here to save you!”

“**Haaah!”

Oars bellowed, his every movement crushing Marines beneath his massive frame.

“That brat…” Whitebeard’s mustache trembled with rage as he saw Oars recklessly charging forward.

“**Get back here, you fool!” Whitebeard roared, but Oars seemed deaf to the call, continuing his relentless advance.

“Sorry, Pops, but after I save Ace—”

Oars’ words were abruptly cut short.

“Impressive size for a giant,” Kizaru commented, lounging with his legs crossed. Despite his words, he remained seated, knowing someone else had already moved.

Bartholomew Kuma, now a mindless killing machine, launched several explosive shockwaves from his fingertips, striking Oars squarely.

“**Oars!”

Whitebeard’s crew shouted in panic at the sight.

“I’ve got this side covered. Go help Oars—don’t let him become an easy target,” Fang Ye said, waving over Flower Sword Vista and a few others.

In the original timeline, Oars’ reckless charge made him a target for the Marines, leading to grievous injuries inflicted by the likes of Doflamingo. Ultimately, Oars perished.

But this time, Fang Ye was here.

“Thanks!”

Vista hesitated for a moment before rushing off to aid Oars, clashing with Mihawk on the way.

Satisfied, Fang Ye turned to face Akainu, his eyes sharp.

“Confident, aren’t you? You don’t look like some rookie pirate,” Akainu said, crossing his arms as he studied Fang Ye.

Although Akainu had never seen him on a wanted poster, the carnage he had wrought spoke volumes about his capabilities.

“Rookie or not, why don’t you find out for yourself?” Fang Ye replied, gripping the Seastone staff and lunging forward.

**Boom!**

Fang Ye’s fiery punch collided with Akainu’s Haki-clad fist, creating a deafening shockwave.

Akainu’s mastery of Armament Haki allowed him to project its power outward, a testament to his expertise. The clash left both combatants momentarily retreating.

“This brat’s strength is incredible… No wonder Kizaru struggled against him,” Akainu muttered, flexing his slightly numbed fist.

Fang Ye’s fist also throbbed from the impact.

“As expected of Akainu—he’s strong.”

But Fang Ye wasn’t worried. Even if he couldn’t defeat Akainu, he was confident he could escape.

Moreover, Whitebeard himself had yet to step in.

With renewed determination, Fang Ye charged forward, launching a **Serious Punch**!

“Heh!”

With a low growl, Fang Ye’s fiery punch roared forward, its searing heat twisting the air as it hurtled toward Akainu.

“Ha! You call that fire? Let me show you what real flames look like!” Akainu sneered, his right hand transforming into molten magma.

To Akainu, Fang Ye’s flames were nothing more than a weak flicker compared to his volcanic fury—a mere matchstick against a flamethrower.

But his smirk faltered as his magma-covered hand recoiled slightly from the heat.

Although it caused no real damage, the sensation surprised Akainu.

“Since I consumed the Magma-Magma Fruit, this is the first time I’ve felt the heat of flames…”

Akainu’s gaze locked on Fang Ye, whose fists still burned with fire.

“I see… You have great potential. That’s all the more reason for me to kill you now!”

“Hellhound!”

With a sharp shout, Akainu’s arms erupted into magma, extending with explosive force toward Fang Ye.

Fang Ye’s instincts screamed danger as a wave of goosebumps spread over his skin.

**Danger Sense!**

The sheer intensity of the warning left no room for error—this attack could seriously harm him.

Fang Ye didn’t hesitate, diving into a series of evasive rolls to avoid the molten onslaught.

Akainu’s magma crashed into the ground, instantly melting it into a fiery pool.

“What terrifying power,” Fang Ye muttered, his heart pounding. The Magma-Magma Fruit’s destructive potential was truly unmatched, combining immense heat with devastating force.

“Missed? No matter—try this!”

Akainu smirked, unleashing a barrage of **Hellhound** strikes, each one firing like a magma-fueled Gatling gun.

Fang Ye dodged each attack, his speed leaving afterimages as he closed the distance.

In a flash, Fang Ye was in front of Akainu, his massive fist aimed squarely at the Admiral’s face.

Akainu quickly retreated, noticing the Seastone staff Fang Ye wielded—a deadly weapon against Devil Fruit users.

“I can’t afford close combat,” Akainu muttered, stretching his magma-coated arms to unleash another rapid volley of Hellhound attacks.

Fang Ye dodged again, his movements fluid and precise.

“Impressive… Your Observation Haki must be formidable to evade my attacks so consistently,” Akainu remarked, his tone icy.

“But let’s see if you can dodge this.”

Akainu’s arms morphed into enormous magma fists, rumbling ominously like an active volcano.

Fang Ye’s instincts screamed louder than ever before, forcing him to retreat rapidly.

“You can’t run, brat!”

With a sinister grin, Akainu unleashed his full power. His magma fists erupted in a volcanic blast, consuming the battlefield in a fiery wave capable of obliterating massive warships.

“Brat, get back!”

As Fang Ye scrambled to escape the onslaught, a towering figure stepped forward, shielding him.

With a single hand, the man grasped the air, redirecting the flow of magma toward himself.

“Ha!”

Whitebeard swung his massive bisento, tearing through the air with immense force.

At its tip, a glowing white sphere of energy clashed with the molten tide in an earth-shaking collision.
