**Chapter 146: Saving Ace and the Terrifying Power of Fire Fist**

The battlefield was chaos. Fang Ye didn’t worry about Vista.

Although Vista’s strength might not rival Mihawk’s…

As one of the world’s top swordsmen, he wasn’t far behind.

Besides, Fang Ye had something more pressing to do.

The aftermath of Whitebeard and Akainu’s clash had already reduced the island’s buildings to rubble.

“No wonder he’s called the strongest man in the world—his power is unbelievable!”

“Marineford is going to be destroyed! Fleet Admiral Sengoku, do something!”

“If no one stops Whitebeard, Marineford will truly be lost!”

The pirates at the rear, feeling the island tremble beneath them, muttered anxiously.

“Shut your mouths! Anyone spreading panic will meet the same end as these pirates!” barked a high-ranking vice admiral, brandishing his sword threateningly.

Everyone fell silent.

Akainu, now heavily injured from Whitebeard’s relentless assault, spat blood as he temporarily retreated from the battlefield.

Their battle had fractured the sea’s frozen surface, sending shards of ice flying skyward, leaving many struggling to stay upright.

“Ahhh!”

Even Monkey D. Luffy wasn’t spared. The ice beneath his feet shattered, sending him plummeting.

“Straw Hat, grab my hand!”

A voice called from the ice above, catching Luffy’s stretched-out arm just in time.

As the arm retracted, Luffy found himself standing on a stable patch of ice again.

“Oh, it’s you again, mysterious pirate,” Luffy exclaimed, scratching his head with a grin.

It was Fang Ye.

“What’s your name?” Luffy asked, curious.

Fang Ye didn’t respond. His gaze was fixed on the execution platform.

“Straw Hat, did you bring the key?”

“Got it right here,” Luffy said, patting his pocket where the key rested safely.

“Good. I’ll send you up there,” Fang Ye said, pointing toward the platform.

Before Luffy could react, Fang Ye hoisted him into the air.

“Huh?”

Before he could process what was happening, Luffy was stretched like a slingshot.

The next second, Fang Ye released him.

Luffy flew straight toward the execution platform like a launched rubber band.

“Thanks a lot!” Luffy called out mid-air, giving a thumbs-up before turning his attention to the platform.

Sure enough, this method was much faster than fighting through the battlefield.

In moments, he reached the platform.

“Ace!”

Luffy, panting heavily, stood before Ace, frantically pulling the key from his pocket.

“I’m finally here. I’m going to save you,” he said, fumbling with the key as he searched for the lock.

“Straw Hat, you’re underestimating me far too much!”

Sengoku’s voice boomed, his face darkened with rage.

This Straw Hat kid had the audacity to ignore him entirely and focus solely on freeing Ace.

How could he tolerate such disrespect?

Unlike Garp, Sengoku had no intention of holding back against them.

Emerging from the shadows, Sengoku’s body began to expand rapidly.

He transformed into a massive golden Buddha, radiating dazzling light that illuminated all of Marineford.

“You fools don’t think you can escape me, do you?”

As the golden Buddha, Sengoku’s sheer presence threatened to collapse the execution platform beneath his feet.

“The Buddha form!”

The sight left everyone wide-eyed and speechless, a crushing sense of despair settling over them.

“Sengoku has joined the fight…”

Meanwhile, Luffy finally found the keyhole and moved to unlock the cuffs.

“Oh, they even brought this thing,” Kizaru muttered lazily from a distance, raising his hand to gather light.

The next moment, the key in Luffy’s hand shattered.

“Straw Hat, you’re a despicable criminal as well…”

Sengoku raised his massive golden fist, his Buddha form looming over Luffy.

“Allow me to end this.”

“Mr. 3, protect Ace with your wax!”

Luffy called out as he bit into his hand, inflating his body like a balloon.

“Gum-Gum Giant Balloon!”

Sengoku’s fist came crashing down, drawing blood from Luffy, but the inflated boy absorbed the blow, preventing further casualties.

**Boom!**

The execution platform, however, couldn’t withstand the force. The wooden supports gave way, sending everyone tumbling.

“Wax Man, use your powers to make a key!”

With the Admirals and Mihawk distracted, Fang Ye moved freely across the battlefield.

Seeing Sengoku in his Buddha form, Fang Ye predicted what would happen next and rushed to the base of the platform.

He successfully caught Ace, who had temporarily lost his powers.

“Quick, use your wax powers to save Ace,” Fang Ye urged Mr. 3.

“Oh, right! Why didn’t I think of that?” Mr. 3 smacked his forehead.

Spotting the broken key on the ground, he immediately began molding wax into a replacement.

Before long, he handed the wax key to Luffy.

“Thanks!” Luffy grabbed the key and swiftly unlocked the Seastone cuffs binding Ace.

“You think you’ll escape with your lives?”

The temperature plummeted as Aokiji appeared before them, his presence freezing the air.

“Admiral Kuzan!”

The nearby Marines, emboldened by Aokiji’s arrival, quickly retreated to safety.

Fang Ye scanned the battlefield and soon spotted Diamond Jozu lying nearby, unconscious.

Seizing the opportunity, Aokiji froze Fang Ye’s arm completely.

“Luffy, take the others and help Jozu. I’ll handle this,” Ace said confidently, flames igniting around his body.

“You underestimate me,” Aokiji replied coldly, surrounded by a chill so intense it seemed to freeze time itself.

“Ice Lance!”

With a flick of his hand, Aokiji sent a barrage of ice spears hurtling toward Ace.

“Sacred Fire: Unknown Flames!”

Ace retaliated, launching an equal number of blazing fireballs to intercept the spears.

**Sizzle!**

The ice spears melted under the intense flames, releasing clouds of steam into the air.

“Not bad,” Aokiji admitted, his expression turning serious.

He spread his arms, summoning an even more devastating attack.

“Pheasant Beak!”

An enormous ice bird, over ten meters tall, materialized from Aokiji’s freezing aura, screeching as it charged at Ace.

“Mirror Flame!”

Ace didn’t falter. Flames engulfed half his body as he summoned a towering wall of fire.

**Boom!**

The ice bird collided with the fire wall, generating a massive explosion of steam that swept across the battlefield.

“What’s happening?”

One Marine stared in shock, his face blank with disbelief.

The surrounding pirates were equally stunned.

“That’s the young pirate from the execution platform?”

“He’s trading blows with Admiral Kuzan without a scratch?”

Their gazes shifted to the figure behind Ace—Fang Ye, the even more terrifying demon who had carved a bloody path through Marineford.
