**Chapter 160: Entering the Forbidden Zone – Choosing Konoha!**

“Wow, that guy is so handsome…”

“I want to ask for his contact info… Does my makeup look okay?”

“He’s probably entering the Forbidden Zone. I’ll go ask for his number.”

Amidst the chatter around him, Fang Ye chose to ignore the voices.

“Excuse me, handsome!”

A girl wearing a short skirt ran up to him and blocked his path.

“Are you heading into the Forbidden Zone?”

Fang Ye glanced her up and down, nodding briefly. She was attractive, no doubt, but Fang Ye already had a girlfriend.

To him, this girl paled in comparison to Su Ziqiu.

“Can I have your number? I promise I’ll make it worth your while~”

The girl raised an eyebrow and stepped into his way again.

Fang Ye simply stared at her silently, his expression indifferent.

Assuming he didn’t believe her, the girl grew frustrated and said, “I mean it! I just came out of the Fifth Forbidden Zone recently and have some useful tips!”

Then, with a conspiratorial air, she added, “Give me your number, and I’ll share them with you.”

“Not interested.” Fang Ye brushed past her without a second thought.

The girl huffed, planting her hands on her hips, and shouted a few choice words at his retreating back.

At the entrance to the Forbidden Zone, heavily armed guards stood in formation, just like at the Fourth Forbidden Zone.

An opening in the formation allowed participants to pass through one at a time, after presenting identification.

Professor Zhou had once mentioned that both the Fourth and Fifth Forbidden Zones were highly contested and equally significant.

The crowd here was even larger than at the Fourth Forbidden Zone. Fang Ye roughly estimated over 200 people waiting in line.

After nearly an hour, it was finally Fang Ye’s turn.

Two soldiers carefully checked his ID before allowing him through.

Once inside, the area opened up into a massive space. Despite the large crowd, the Forbidden Zone entrance was packed with young people jostling in line.

Fang Ye picked what seemed to be the shortest queue and waited patiently.

“Hey, wanna team up?”

A man quietly approached Fang Ye and spoke in hushed tones.

Fang Ye blinked, surprised. He hadn’t realized that forming teams was an option.

The man, noticing his confusion, explained, “Here’s how it works. We’ll all choose the same faction and mark a hidden symbol on the roadside. Once inside, we’ll use the symbol to meet up and help each other complete tasks. The faster we finish, the better the rewards.”

Fang Ye nodded, impressed by the man’s ingenuity.

“So, are you in?” The man grinned excitedly. “There are seven of us so far. Here, let me mark your hand—”

“No need.” Fang Ye shook his head firmly. “I won’t join.”

The man paused mid-action, then forced a smile. “That’s fine. I’ll still show you the symbol—just in case you change your mind.”

He proceeded to draw a simple weapon-shaped mark in the air.

“What faction are you choosing?” Fang Ye asked, his tone neutral.

The man hesitated, clearly taken aback by the question.

“Rain Village, of course. Don’t tell me you’re—”

His eyes widened in disbelief as Fang Ye nodded. “I’m choosing the Hidden Leaf Village. Care to join me?”

The man gawked at Fang Ye for a moment before turning away, muttering, “Fine, don’t join. Who cares, anyway?”

The rest of the group chimed in with sarcastic remarks.

“Maybe he’s just stupid enough to pick the Leaf Village.”

“No surprise there. What kind of idiot doesn’t team up?”

Fang Ye remained silent, a faint smile on his lips as he watched them walk away.

“We’ll meet again, I’m sure,” he murmured to himself.

By 2:00 PM, the crowd began filing into the Forbidden Zone in orderly fashion.

Fang Ye followed the line and soon stepped through the glowing entrance.

The next moment, he found himself in a familiar white preparation room.

“Please select your faction.”

Option 1: Hidden Leaf Village (Konoha).

Option 2: Hidden Rain Village (Amegakure).

Without hesitation, Fang Ye chose the Hidden Leaf Village.

It wasn’t just confidence in his abilities that guided his decision—it was an emotional choice.

Having been deeply moved by the *Naruto* series in his previous life, he had always been saddened by Jiraiya’s sacrifice.

The white room disappeared in a flash of light, and Fang Ye now stood in a quaint, bustling village.

Looking up, he saw the iconic Hokage Rock carved with the faces of past leaders.

Familiar characters moved around him, and Fang Ye couldn’t help but feel nostalgic.

If possible, he hoped to prevent Jiraiya’s tragic death.

Checking his attire, he noted that he was wearing modern clothing, but a Leaf Village headband adorned his forehead, marking him as an official ninja.

After consulting a local shopkeeper, Fang Ye confirmed that today was the day Jiraiya would infiltrate the Hidden Rain Village.

Wasting no time, he headed toward the tri-border area of the Fire, Earth, and Wind nations, where Amegakure was located.

Once outside the village, Fang Ye unleashed his full speed. His immense strength allowed him to leap great distances, each step leaving shattered ground in his wake.

As the air grew damp, he knew he was close.

Rain constantly poured in the Land of Rain, giving Amegakure its name.

Donning a raincoat he had purchased earlier, Fang Ye cautiously approached the village, careful to avoid detection.

Soon, the distinctive tower-like structures of the Hidden Rain Village came into view.

Slowing his pace, he moved stealthily toward the village entrance.

Suddenly, several masked ninjas appeared before him, their voices sharp and commanding.

“Who are you?”
