Chapter 175: A Killing Blow to the Soul

Boom!

The earth beneath shattered as a figure leaped out—Fang Ye!

Holding an enormous boulder far exceeding his own size, Fang Ye hurled it between the two combatants, forcing them apart with an earth-shaking impact.

“Kid, you’re alive?” Jiraiya’s voice was filled with both surprise and relief.

Seeing Fang Ye alive and unscathed lightened Jiraiya’s guilt. He had feared Fang Ye was dead, and the thought had weighed heavily on him. But now, seeing Fang Ye full of life renewed his spirit.

“You okay, kid?” Jiraiya shouted.

Fang Ye didn’t respond immediately. He simply shook his head and fixed his icy gaze on Pain’s Deva Path.

Still standing firm, Pain’s voice held a mix of disbelief and cold resolve. “Not dead yet?”

Fang Ye didn’t bother with words. His eyes burned with determination. He lifted the massive rock and flung it toward Pain, igniting it midair with roaring flames.

The blazing boulder streaked through the air like a comet, heading straight for its target.

Pain deftly leaped and twisted, his movements unnervingly agile, narrowly avoiding the attack.

“Stubborn life you cling to,” Pain muttered before spinning on his heel to flee.

Fang Ye’s response was a wordless charge, his speed relentless as he pursued Pain through the dense forest.

As the two darted through the forest, the sound of Fang Ye’s pursuit echoed with thunderous destruction. Towering trees exploded into splinters, their fragments scattering like shrapnel as Fang Ye bulldozed through.

While Pain moved with nimble precision, dodging between the trees like a shadow, Fang Ye was a force of nature—each footfall left the ground caved in, each tree in his path was obliterated as if by a battering ram.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Fang Ye roared.

Pain, despite his quick maneuvers, felt Fang Ye closing in.

As the gap between them shrank, Fang Ye prepared his signature attack. Drawing his right hand to his waist, he began to channel overwhelming power.

“Serious Punch!”

Fang Ye lunged forward, releasing a devastating blow aimed straight at Pain.

Pain, sensing the mortal danger, didn’t dare look back. He extended his hands and summoned his most familiar defense.

“Shinra Tensei!”

A shimmering, invisible barrier formed around Pain, radiating outward to meet the oncoming punch.

The impact was monumental. Fang Ye’s raw power visibly warped the barrier, pushing it dangerously close to breaking.

For the first time, Pain’s composed demeanor faltered. Panic flickered in his eyes as he diverted more chakra to reinforce the barrier.

Unable to fully contain the force, he allowed the barrier to rebound, using the resulting backlash to propel himself away.

Pain stabilized in midair, firing a volley of laser-like projectiles at Fang Ye. Each shot sparked against Fang Ye’s body, which was coated in impenetrable armor.

“What is he made of?” Pain muttered, panic creeping into his voice as Fang Ye’s relentless advance resumed.

Fang Ye’s shadow loomed closer. Within moments, he reached Pain, his blazing fists slamming into Pain’s hastily erected shield of black rods.

Crack!

The shield splintered under the force of Fang Ye’s assault.

Desperation fueled Pain’s next move. “Shinra Tensei!” he cried, unleashing another wave of repelling force.

The shockwave struck Fang Ye, momentarily halting his charge and throwing him backward. Pain seized the moment to hurl two black rods at Fang Ye’s vital points.

The rods struck Fang Ye squarely in the chest, but instead of piercing him, they clanged against his hardened frame, cracking upon impact.

Fang Ye calmly plucked the broken rods from his chest and held them aloft for Pain to see. Then, with deliberate mockery, he gripped the rods tightly and thrust them toward his own chest.

Clang!

The rods shattered against Fang Ye’s steely torso, sparks flying as if they had struck an immovable wall.

Dusting off his hands, Fang Ye locked eyes with Pain, a slight smirk tugging at his lips. “Is that all you’ve got?”

Pain froze, his earlier confidence dissolving. Fang Ye’s defiance wasn’t just physical—it struck at the core of Pain’s ideology.

Fang Ye’s unrelenting demeanor bore down on Pain, who, for the first time, showed true fear.

“This ends now,” Fang Ye declared, his tone a death knell.

With no room to escape and no tricks left to play, Pain stood frozen as Fang Ye charged forward, fists blazing like a vengeful inferno.
