Chapter 186: Testing Each Other, Super Saiyan 2
With a dazzling flash of light, Fang Ye’s vision suddenly cleared.
He surveyed his surroundings and found himself standing on a street. “This Forbidden Zone really knows how to pick a spot,” he muttered to himself.
Fang Ye smirked and nimbly dodged the passing vehicles, stepping onto the sidewalk. “Standing in the middle of the road? Are you trying to get yourself killed?!”
The driver, whose car had been abruptly stopped by Fang Ye, stuck his head out of the window and started cursing. Behind him, several other vehicles had also been forced to stop, leaving long skid marks on the asphalt. The sound of honking horns filled the air as drivers became increasingly frustrated.
“Hey, why are you honking at me? It’s this idiot up ahead that’s causing the problem!” The angry driver shouted at Fang Ye, but as their eyes met, the words died in his throat.
Fang Ye appeared like a beast in the driver’s eyes — intimidating, imposing, as if even a single wrong word could lead to immediate annihilation.
The driver quickly shut up, his hair standing on end. “Damn it, this broken car, why is the brake not working…” He muttered, hastily starting the engine and speeding off.
As the car quickly disappeared from view, the driver behind cursed loudly. “What the hell, where’s he going so fast?!”
Fang Ye paid no mind to the scene and swiftly made his way towards a peculiar-looking building.
It was Bulma’s house.
If there was one iconic building that represented the main cast, it had to be the mansion of Bulma, the richest woman in the Dragon Ball world.
Fang Ye moved at lightning speed.
He wasn’t sure where the plot stood at the moment and feared that the representatives for Universe 7 might have already been chosen. If that were the case, it would be hard for him to join.
Before long, Fang Ye arrived at Bulma’s home. “Oh? A guest?”
Bulma, who was holding a party on the balcony, pulled out her phone from her pocket and swiped across the screen. A live feed popped up.
It showed a handsome man, about 1.8 meters tall, pressing the doorbell persistently.
“Who is this? Do any of you know him?” Bulma asked, holding the phone out for everyone to see.
Everyone passed the phone around, shaking their heads in confusion.
“Goku, is this one of your friends?” Vegeta asked, disdainfully tossing the phone to Goku, who was stuffing his face with food.
Hearing his name, Goku lifted his head.
He quickly wiped his hands on his shirt and caught the phone as it flew toward him. “My friend? I don’t recognize him.”
Goku stared at the screen for a moment and then grinned excitedly. “But this guy looks pretty strong!”
“Strong?” Vegeta, intrigued, grabbed the phone back and leaned in to take a closer look. “Maybe, but he’s nowhere near my level.”
“Not true!” Goku snatched the phone back again and examined the image closely. “Honestly, I think he’s about as strong as Gohan.”
At that moment, Gohan, who had been chatting with Videl, suddenly got caught in the crossfire. He scratched his head, not knowing how to respond.
Videl, unable to keep quiet, spoke up on behalf of Gohan. “Even though Gohan hasn’t trained much lately, he’s still a Saiyan. How could anyone be stronger than him?”
“There are humans stronger than him, like Krillin…” Goku said casually while recalling Krillin’s and Gohan’s past battles in his mind.
After a moment of thought, Goku stopped himself from saying more.
Gohan, quick to pick up on his father’s half-finished sentence, immediately understood what Goku was implying. “Uncle Krillin might be human, but his strength is incredible!”
As the group continued to chat, Bulma took a bite of pudding before standing up. “I’ll go open the door. We’ve kept the guest waiting long enough.”
Outside, Fang Ye had been ringing the doorbell for quite a while without any response. “Could they have already started picking the fighters?” Fang Ye muttered, growing anxious.
In this world, he was so directionally challenged that failing to find them here would almost be a death sentence for his mission.
Sighing deeply, he muttered to himself, “To die before even starting… what a joke.”
Just as he was about to leave, the door finally creaked open.
A woman with blue hair and a babyface stepped outside.
Fang Ye instantly recognized her.
“Isn’t this… Rich Woman Bulma?”
“Hello, Bulma,” Fang Ye smiled as he turned to greet her, calm and composed.
“You know my name… Oh, I guess you’ve used my company’s products before.” Bulma blinked in surprise.
Fang Ye paused for a moment before nodding. “Yes, I’ve used your capsule homes. They’re really convenient.”
At the praise, Bulma couldn’t help but feel a little flattered. She waved her hand dismissively. “It’s nothing special; those are products from the previous generation.”
Now that she seemed less guarded, Fang Ye cut straight to the point. “Is Vegeta home?”
“Vegeta?” Bulma was momentarily taken aback.
She hadn’t expected the handsome man in front of her to be here looking for her battle-obsessed husband.
“Oh… he’s here. Come on in.” Bulma led the way, walking toward the balcony.
Inside, the strongest two people in the universe, Goku and Vegeta, were on the balcony. Anyone who tried to get past them would surely face their wrath.
Fang Ye followed Bulma to the balcony and was met with several familiar faces.
Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Videl, Satan, and in the corner, Lord Beerus was eating and enjoying himself. Whis stood nearby, watching them.
When Beerus noticed Fang Ye’s arrival, he gave him a slight smile.
Fang Ye nodded back in acknowledgment.
“Over there. My husband’s just sitting there,” Bulma pointed out, then shouted toward Vegeta, “Vegeta, someone’s looking for you!”
“Someone’s looking for me?” Vegeta, who had been preparing to leave, was suddenly face-to-face with Fang Ye.
“That was fast…” Vegeta’s brow twitched as he sized up the man before him.
“Hello, my name is… Fang Ye, nice to meet you.”
“Fang Ye? Hmph!” Vegeta arrogantly ignored the hand Fang Ye extended.
“Oh? Fang Ye, nice to meet you.” Goku, noticing the interaction, casually walked over and shook Fang Ye’s hand.
Suddenly, Fang Ye felt a powerful force in his right hand!
Goku was testing him!
Without flinching, Fang Ye responded with equal strength.
An unusual scene unfolded.
Fang Ye and Goku stood facing each other, both smiling, but their handshake didn’t loosen.
“Goku, what are you doing?” Chi-Chi, noticing the strange situation, grabbed a spatula and stormed over.
“Mom,” Gohan immediately blocked her, his eyes locked on the two men. “They’re testing each other’s strength.”
Vegeta, intrigued by what was happening, glanced at the two.
Both Fang Ye and Goku were applying pressure, but neither showed any sign of pain. They both kept smiling, neither willing to back down.
“This won’t last long,” Vegeta muttered with a smirk. “Soon, this kid will be begging Goku to let go.”
