OKSTS Chapter 68

**Chapter 68: The Entire Island Falls—A Zombie Paradise!**

Not long after…

Those officers became snacks for Old Master Ren.

Fang Ye’s punishment for them was turning them into zombies and sending them back to their own nation.

Weren’t they prepared to die together to protect their country?

Fang Ye decided they’d get to destroy it themselves.

Conveniently, one of the foreigners left on board knew how to steer, so Fang Ye left the ship’s navigation to them. With Old Master Ren around, they dared not disobey.

Three nights later.

Fang Ye and Su Ziqiu arrived at a port in the island nation.

Under cover of night, Fang Ye unleashed the zombies, launching an attack on the port.

After testing and confirming that the zombie infection spread quickly even through the lesser undead, he turned to Old Master Ren, finishing him off with flames and sending him to his eternal rest.

Honestly.

Fang Ye felt a pang of reluctance when he killed Old Master Ren.

Old Master Ren had been so thoroughly tamed…

But alas!

To prevent Old Master Ren from evolving further, Fang Ye had to eliminate him now, nipping the threat in the bud.

Otherwise, if Old Master Ren continued to evolve, he might one day surpass Fang Ye.

If that happened, Fang Ye risked not only his life but also Su Ziqiu’s.

Fang Ye wasn’t a fool.

He wasn’t about to let that happen.

Another three days passed.

The entire city of Osaka had fallen, overrun by the zombie horde!

Once Fang Ye noticed that these newly infected zombies evolved very slowly, he decided to let them run loose!

So he set them free to bite whomever they pleased.

A single zombie needed to drain the blood of a thousand people just to evolve once.

The chances of any of them ever reaching Old Master Ren’s level were slim to none.

In just three days, Osaka was overrun…

Back in Fang Ye’s homeland, exorcist priests like Jiu Shu existed to fight against zombies, keeping the undead in check.

But on this island, no one could stop them.

And with Fang Ye secretly fueling the chaos, the zombies’ numbers swelled rapidly.

In a few short days, there were tens of thousands of them.

By nightfall…

Everywhere in Osaka, the streets were full of those bouncing zombies.

On the seventh day.

Kyoto and Kobe followed, both falling to the undead horde.

The rulers of the island nation finally realized the gravity of the situation, ordering all troops home to use the modern military against the zombie menace.

On the fourteenth day.

Fukuoka, Kawasaki, Nagoya—one by one, they too became havens for zombies.

Widespread panic ensued as citizens fled, plunging the entire island into chaos.

That night, the island nation’s military clashed with the zombie horde in a major battle.

Unfortunately…

Their weapons had little effect on the zombies.

They could kill only the lower-level zombies; the evolved ones were nearly impervious to modern attacks.

The island’s forces suffered a crushing defeat.

By the twenty-fifth day.

Even Kyoto was beginning to see the presence of zombies.

At this point, the zombie horde had spread across the entire island, an unstoppable force.

Not even Fang Ye, the mastermind, could control it now.

The powerful and privileged began abandoning the island, fleeing overseas by ship.

This once-prosperous island nation was headed for its end…

Another dark night.

In a quiet home.

Fang Ye sat by the window, gazing into the night, lost in thought.

“Dinner’s ready!”

Su Ziqiu brought out the food from the kitchen, setting it on the table.

The aroma immediately caught Fang Ye’s attention.

There were just three dishes and a soup, but they were beautifully prepared, with vibrant colors and mouthwatering aromas.

Fang Ye took a bite, and his taste buds were enveloped in deliciousness. He couldn’t help but sigh, “This is incredible… Ziqiu, you’ve worked so hard cooking all this time!”

Indeed.

For the past month, Su Ziqiu had cooked every meal for Fang Ye, letting him focus without worry.

Of course.

He could’ve forced someone else to cook, but who could say they wouldn’t poison the food? Fang Ye didn’t trust anyone else to make his meals.

As for calling her “Ziqiu” instead of “Little Su,” that was Su Ziqiu’s own insistence.

Who knew what was on her mind?

Calling her “Ziqiu” sounded a bit too intimate…

“It’s just cooking; it’s no big deal.”

Su Ziqiu smiled softly. “This is all I can do to help.”

Fang Ye smiled and said nothing more, focusing on his meal.

When Fang Ye had nearly finished, Su Ziqiu spoke again, “Fang Ye, we’re going home tomorrow, right?”

Fang Ye counted the days and nodded. “Yes, by noon tomorrow, the mission will be over.”

Su Ziqiu asked, “Are we going out to kill zombies tonight?”

Fang Ye shook his head, “No, we’ve killed plenty already. Let’s just rest tonight.”

Over the past few weeks, the two of them had eliminated hundreds of thousands of zombies.

That staggering number was more than enough for the highest mission rating.

Su Ziqiu nodded obediently.

She had followed Fang Ye’s lead throughout this journey.

Since he said they didn’t need to kill any more, she was happy to listen.

After dinner, with no entertainment, they washed up and got ready for bed.

The doors and windows were all securely shut, ensuring that any intruding zombie would alert them immediately.

Inside, there was only one tatami mat; Fang Ye slept on the outside, and Su Ziqiu slept on the inside…

This was how they had been sleeping during this time…

On the surface, they seemed almost like a married couple.

Though they hadn’t crossed that final line…

Not long after lying down.

Fang Ye felt Su Ziqiu, who was on the inside, suddenly snuggle up against him, resting her head on his shoulder.

“Fang Ye, do you think… we’ll ever have another chance to be like this?”

Her tone was a little nervous.

It was her first time ever making the first move with a man…

Hearing her, Fang Ye’s face broke into a smile.

“We will.”

His answer was reassuring and certain.
