OKSTS Chapter 92

**Chapter 92: The One-Wave Push? Martial God Academy’s Confidence**

“This match pits Martial Saint Academy against Martial God Academy. While their names sound similar, their abilities are vastly different. Martial God Academy, known as the best in the nation, hardly needs any introduction, which puts Martial Saint Academy in a precarious position!” the commentator’s voice echoed.

Whether intentionally or not, the commentator not only made light of Martial Saint Academy’s name but also implied that they were no match for Martial God. Even though this was likely true, it was inappropriate to say it so bluntly in a public broadcast!

The teachers on Martial Saint’s side didn’t look too pleased, but the audience found it entertaining…

“The odds on Martial Saint against Martial God are 8 to 1. I put 1,500 on Martial Saint, and if they win, I’ll rake in over 10,000! Pure profit!”

“You think Martial Saint’s gonna win? You’re dreaming!”

“Exactly, brother, you’ve just kissed that 1,500 goodbye!”

“I also bet on Martial Saint—those odds were too tempting! If I win, it’s all fun and luxury; if I lose, back to work for me!”

“Haha, looks like a lot of us are in the same boat. Gotta take a risk for the rewards!”

“But someone bet 500,000 on Martial Saint! I wonder which big shot has that much guts…”

That “big shot” who bet 500,000 on Martial Saint

was none other than Fang Ye!!

He had absolute confidence in himself…

At that moment,

Fang Ye and his teammates had passed through the green gate, entering the Valley of Kings. “Please note: countdown begins—10 seconds…” a deep voice echoed throughout the valley.

Seeing her team’s tense faces, Su Ziqiu shouted to rally them, “Don’t worry, everyone! Stick to the strategy we discussed!” The teammates nodded.

“…3, 2, 1!” The countdown ended.

The green barrier vanished, marking the start of the match.

The team quickly sprang into action,

each taking their designated positions according to the strategy.

This time, Fang Ye’s usual laid-back attitude was gone.

He moved swiftly toward the jungle, downing the red buff in two moves and, with the added boost, headed to the mid-lane…

Outside,

the commentator’s voice continued, “Both teams have entered the arena. We can see Martial Saint Academy using an unusual formation—two players on the top lane, two on the bottom lane, and one in the mid-lane…”

“This formation is generally seen as defensive, which suggests Martial Saint knows they can’t match their opponents head-on and is opting for a defensive stance to hold out as long as possible.”

“However, personally, I don’t think much of this strategy. As the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense!”

“…Back to the match, we see Martial Saint’s mid-laner going for the red buff first. I must say, this mid-laner has impressive damage output; he took out the red buff in just two moves. Looks like he’s heading back to guard the mid-lane after securing the buff.”

“Now let’s take a look at Martial God Academy… Oh my! Martial God is using an extreme formation!!”

In the valley’s projection,

the entire audience could see that Martial God’s team had all gathered in the mid-lane, protecting their minion wave as they advanced together.

“This formation, known as the one-wave push, abandons both the top and bottom lanes to concentrate all their strength in the mid-lane, aiming to overwhelm Martial Saint before they even have a chance to breathe!”

“It’s an extreme strategy—bold and ruthless. If Martial Saint’s mid-laner can stall them, even briefly, it could cause huge trouble for Martial God!”

“This extreme strategy has only appeared twice before in the tournament’s history. Today, we’re witnessing it firsthand.”

“Martial God Academy seems very confident in their abilities. They want to finish this match as quickly as possible!”

“Now, can Martial Saint Academy survive this one-wave push? We’ll soon find out!”

The commentator’s excitement was palpable,

and the audience’s energy rose along with it.

No one expected Martial God to be this ruthless, starting off with such a daring strategy.

“Whoa! Martial God Academy is going all out…”

“Right?! This is a no-mercy strategy, just brutal.”

“Looks like Martial Saint is about to be crushed!”

“Is there some deep-seated grudge between Martial God and Martial Saint? Why else would they go for such an unforgiving approach?”

“I remember one school using this strategy once. They crushed the opponent in two minutes and went straight for the crystal… I wonder if Martial God can set a new record.”

“Martial Saint’s mid-laner is pretty strong, but with Martial God’s full-force push, I don’t know how long he’ll last…”

“This is gonna be an interesting match!”

The audience was abuzz with discussion.

On Martial Saint’s side, however, the teachers looked grim as they listened to these remarks.

Their gazes instinctively shifted toward the Martial God side, glaring at the opposing instructors with a mixture of anger and disbelief.

They felt like marching over and demanding to know why they would use such a strategy.

If Martial God succeeded with this approach, it would utterly humiliate Martial Saint Academy, potentially making this match an everlasting mark of shame.

In the future,

this match might be remembered as Martial Saint Academy’s most embarrassing defeat, like the fate of those other two schools before them.

At that moment, Yan Tai gritted his teeth, his fists clenched.

He knew this strategy from Martial God had to be the work of that troublemaker, Wang Liang.

Wang Liang was determined to drag him down and rub his face in the dirt.

Glancing toward Martial God’s instructor seats, Yan Tai caught sight of Wang Liang smirking coldly back at him, like a victor savoring his triumph. Rage burned in Yan Tai’s eyes, but he could do nothing…

For a moment, he felt helpless,

and his frustration deepened, realizing that his school and students were bearing the brunt of his misfortunes.

In the canyon,

Fang Ye was unaware that the entire enemy team was advancing on him in unison.

At that moment, he had just arrived at his first mid-lane tower, waiting for the minion wave.

He had assigned Su Ziqiu and the others to guard the top and bottom lanes to avoid any sneaky plays from Martial God.

With two players defending each lane, they should be able to hold their positions.

Fang Ye’s only instruction to his teammates was simple: “Just hold your towers!”

As soon as the mid-lane minions arrived,

the enemy team of five also appeared in the mid-lane.

Seeing all five opponents together in the mid-lane, Fang Ye was briefly surprised.

Then,

he started to smile…

He didn’t need much thought to understand Martial God’s plan.

The one-wave push!

Back in his previous life, this tactic was common in games.

But Fang Ye hadn’t expected to encounter it here, in a real-life canyon.

“A one-wave push, is it? Let’s see if they can break through mid-lane that easily!”

“All of them are here in mid. Push your lanes hard!” Fang Ye said into his communicator, his tone calm.

Almost immediately,

he heard a chorus of exclamations over the comms. “What? They’re going for a one-wave push?”

“Fang Ye, we’re coming to back you up!”

Fang Ye replied, “No need. Just focus on pushing your lanes. I’ve got mid covered!” His voice was firm, filled with absolute confidence.

Seeming to pick up on his resolve, Su Ziqiu’s voice came through on the communicator, “Everyone, follow Fang Ye’s plan and push those towers!”

With that, the team fell silent and began clearing the minion waves.

Since all five opponents were on Fang Ye’s side,

the top and bottom lanes were left unguarded.

If they didn’t push now, when would they?
