RWWOKS Chapter 103

This entry is part 104 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

Chapter 103: Fate Completed “Demon King Spider”**

“Huh?”

It wasn’t until his head hit the ground that Doma finally realized he had actually been decapitated by an unremarkable guy.

Even though he didn’t fear death, he still wanted to keep living. Unfortunately, that half-hearted mindset wasn’t enough to push him beyond his limits.

And besides, Fang Bo wasn’t going to give him a chance to revive.

“Go to hell.”

With a swift kick, like punting a ball, Fang Bo sent Doma’s head flying toward his shikigami.

In full view of everyone, Jorogumo swallowed Doma’s head in just a few bites.

The leader of the Eternal Paradise Cult, who had terrorized the world for years and devoured countless women as Upper Moon Two, Doma, met a tragic fate—being devoured alive himself.

One could say, it was poetic justice.

After devouring Doma’s body in a few bites, Jorogumo still wasn’t satisfied. She jumped onto the ruins and continued to feast.

[Current Devouring Progress: 80.55%]

[Current Devouring Progress: 86.48%]

[Current Devouring Progress: 94.32%]

Watching the devouring progress inch closer to completion, Fang Bo couldn’t help but feel a bit excited.

After countless life-and-death struggles, his shikigami was finally about to awaken. Even if it didn’t reach SSR level, all its attributes and skills would surely improve.

If just one Doma was so difficult to handle, Kokushibo and the strongest Demon King Muzan would be even more formidable.

Any increase in strength would be invaluable for the final battle—it might just tip the scales in their favor.

Finally, the devouring progress reached 100%, and the system notification rang out.

[Jorogumo Awakening… Attribute Adjustments in Progress]

“Ugh, it’s so hot.”

Jorogumo’s moaning voice made all the boys and girls present blush deeply.

They watched as she spun countless threads of spider silk, wrapping herself entirely in a cocoon, then fell completely silent.

Seeing this, Tanjiro and the others gave a quick farewell before departing. The battle wasn’t over yet, so being able to rest for even a moment was a rare blessing.

The protagonist group left first, while the Flame Pillar and Insect Pillar, due to the ice shards lodged in their bodies, continued to endure unbearable pain.

Forget about fighting—they didn’t even have the strength to stand.

“Sigh,” Fang Bo sighed as he slowly walked over to the two of them.

Both were important warriors, and losing them here would be disastrous. It was up to him to relieve their suffering.

“Heal!”

His health bar plummeted. By absorbing the pain of the two, Fang Bo’s body began to tremble violently.

“What is this…?” Rengoku Kyojuro was the first to stand up, patting his stomach and even bouncing on the spot.

The intense pain from before had vanished, and now the Flame Pillar felt light and energized, eager to find an enemy and fight for 300 rounds.

Though he didn’t understand how, he wasn’t stupid—he knew that the man before him had saved him once again.

“You’ve saved me yet again!” Kyojuro’s voice was loud, almost giving Shinobu a headache.

She wiped her thin sword gently and stared quietly at the cocoon, her gaze a mixture of the satisfaction of avenging her sister and an inescapable sorrow.

“You saved me too.”

The two exchanged glances, their eyes reflecting a shared determination.

“Leave the rest to us.”

Everyone left, and the only ones remaining were the severely injured Fang Bo and the evolving shikigami, Jorogumo.

“Is it really okay for you all to leave an injured person like me alone?” he muttered, rolling his eyes.

He called the two remaining giants to his side.

First, he placed his hand on the largest one, and before long, he had completely drained it dry.

Ignoring the pile of bones left behind, he repeated the process with the other giant using his “Plunder” skill, quickly restoring his health to full.

Although it was practically useless during battle, “Plunder” was a god-tier skill when it came to endurance and recovery.

No wonder it was the signature ability of the Shield Hero—using it felt extremely powerful.

Those fools from before had labeled it as the worst B-rank skill, but to Fang Bo, no matter how wide the range of B-rank skills was, this healing technique from the Shield Hero was undoubtedly among the best.

With his health replenished, it was time for the most exciting part—opening the treasure chest.

Every time he reached this moment, he felt elated. Who knew what kind of “reward” he’d receive from the troublesome Doma?

[You are opening a Story Chest (Gold)]

[You have received 500 Story Points]

[You have received the Golden Iron Fan]

[You have received Doma’s Eyeball]

[You have received the Ice Crystal Bomb]

After reviewing the rewards, Fang Bo’s first reaction was disappointment—the chest wasn’t as impressive as he’d hoped.

For an Upper Moon Two, how could he not even contribute a Blood Demon Art?

After thinking it over, Fang Bo came to an unpleasant conclusion.

In this battle, the interference of story characters had been too significant. Aside from delivering the final blow, most of the damage dealt had nothing to do with him.

Since his contribution was minimal, the value of the chest had naturally decreased. Aside from Doma’s weapon, there was no trace of his Blood Demon Arts.

As for Doma’s eyeball, it was just the typical material. He was starting to feel like the Twelve Kizuki were some kind of demon product wholesalers.

**Ice Crystal Bomb:** A throwable item that causes small-scale freezing damage.

Doma’s signature ability was incredibly lethal against story characters. Who knows if it would be useful against similar opponents?

Given Akaza’s terrifying suppression power, it was likely that Doma’s victory in their one-on-one duel was partly thanks to the ice crystals.

“It seems like this could still be useful.”

Next was the most valuable item in the chest.

[Name: Golden Iron Fan]

[Grade: Epic]

[Type: Dual Weapon]

[Attack Power: 8-10]

[Durability: 90/90]

[Attribute Boost: Spirit +2, Strength +1]

[Requirements: Spirit 14, Dual Wielding Lv4]

[Effect: Gale Wind]

[Origin: *Demon Slayer*]

[Description: Fanning the flames isn’t always just a figure of speech.]

**Gale Wind (Passive Skill):** Swinging the fan creates a gale, extending the range of certain skill effects.

Doma’s weapon had excellent sharpness and durability, making it sturdy enough to double as a small shield.

Unfortunately, Fang Bo still couldn’t equip it, so the fan would have to be installed on Yoriichi Type Zero instead.

From this moment on, the puppet had completed its full set of epic weapons, with its attack power rising to a new level.

The special effect of the Golden Iron Fan provided a mid-range harassment ability.

While it couldn’t deal a large amount of damage, it could be combined with the poison from the Bloodsickles, essentially converting single-target poison into an area-of-effect poison.

With just a light swing of the fan, all nearby enemies would be affected, entering a state of continuous health loss.

In the future, there would be opportunities to obtain a variety of poisons.

The goal would be to switch between different types of poison enchantments based on the type of enemy.

Though the attack power had increased, Yoriichi Type Zero’s durability was running low, and Fang Bo, unfortunately, didn’t have the tools to repair it.

Once he returned to the space, he would need to stock up on repair items—he couldn’t afford to have it break down at a critical moment.

“And I need to level up the puppet repair technique. Otherwise, summoning shikigami costs money, and repairing puppets costs money. I’m really going to go broke.”

*Crack!*

The sound of a cocoon breaking caught Fang Bo’s attention, and when he looked up, he saw the newly transformed Jorogumo, now completely different in appearance.

Jorogumo’s evolution was finally complete!

[Shikigami Name: Jorogumo (Demon King Spider)]

[Rank: SR]

[HP: 221 (+21)]

[Strength: 15]

[Constitution: 20]

[Agility: 14]

[Spirit: 30]

[Perception: 22]

[Traits: Bone-Eroding, Tenacious Spider Silk, Poison Sack, Regeneration]

[Skills: Demon King Needle, Spider Mark, Heart-Devouring]

**Regeneration:** Restores 1% HP per second.

**Demon King Needle:** The spider blade contains poison, dealing 4 points of poison damage per second for 5 seconds, with no limit to the number of stacks.

There was a noticeable increase in her attributes, especially in the Spirit attribute, which had surpassed the 30-point mark.

Other aspects didn’t change much, except for the addition of a new trait and a significant boost to the poison effectiveness of the *Demon King Needle* skill.

Regeneration was easy to understand; it was an ability gained from the Twelve Kizuki, allowing for unlimited recovery of health.

No matter how much HP she had, in 100 seconds, she could fully recover, even repairing severed limbs and other major injuries.

The speed wasn’t as fast as that of the Upper Moons, but fortunately, Jorogumo didn’t have any fatal weaknesses, so there were both pros and cons.

As for the *Demon King Needle,* the poison’s improvement was quite evident.

As long as she stabbed the enemy, the poison would deal a total of 20 points of damage over five seconds.

Even without critical hits, any attack would easily deal over 40 points of damage.

If she could immobilize the enemy, and all six spider blades attacked simultaneously, a single round of attacks could deal 120 points of poison damage.

Considering the physical damage from the spider blades, the shikigami’s burst damage might even surpass that of Yoriichi Type Zero.

“If *Heart-Devouring* can immobilize the enemy, Jorogumo could unleash several rounds of attacks in just a few seconds.”

“If the timing is right, there won’t be an enemy she can’t finish off.”

Fang Bo was undoubtedly pleased with the enhancements Jorogumo had received, though there was a small disappointment that she hadn’t been upgraded to SSR-level.

In other words, despite her new title as the Demon King Spider, she was still far from being on par with a true “Demon King.”

Unless he could find a way for her to undergo a second evolution.

[User #14552 has completed the Fate Quest and may convert the shikigami Jorogumo into a follower.]

[Requires 40 merit points. Would you like to confirm the conversion?]

Looking at the unreachable number of merit points, Fang Bo silently chose to decline.

He had no merit points and no other way to obtain them, so he’d have to wait until after the next space war to complete the conversion.

Besides, converting too early might not be a good thing.

If she became a reincarnator, she would be subject to suppression from the space.

Jorogumo’s attributes would be sealed at a max of 19 points until Fang Bo advanced to a higher difficulty world, at which point all restrictions would be lifted.

Of course, she could wear equipment, and her attributes might even surpass her peak in a non-equipped state.

But that would open up a whole new can of worms, and Fang Bo didn’t yet have the resources to fill that gap.

“So, what should I do next?”
