RWWOKS Chapter 106

This entry is part 107 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

**Chapter 106: Jorogumo’s Mutation**

“Damn,” everyone thought grimly.

The Beyond Elixir was still in the doctor’s possession, and the purpose of this battle was to prevent Muzan Kibutsuji from obtaining it.

As for why no one fled, the reason was simple: none of them could match the Demon King’s speed.

If someone tried to escape, Muzan would relentlessly pursue them, disrupting the formation. Without a proper encirclement, anyone facing Muzan alone would meet a certain death.

There was also another crucial factor: the Demon Slayer Corps didn’t want the enemy to notice Muzan’s declining condition too early. The longer they dragged the fight out, the more Muzan would age, and any rash action might alert him to the trap.

By now, it was clear that Muzan had aged by at least 4,000 years. Due to the effects of the elixir, his attributes were steadily declining.

“We’ve come this far, it’s been no small feat,” Fang Bo sighed, positioning Yoriichi Type Zero in front of him.

The burning red flames of the *Hec-blade* intimidated Muzan, but at this point, he had no way out.

“If I can devour the Beyond Elixir, I can turn the tide of this battle.”

Muzan had noticed his body’s abnormal state, but there was no time to think further.

The Demon King had no choice but to gamble on the hope that the elixir he had created would help his body evolve.

Ignoring the attacks aimed at him, Muzan clenched his fists as the grotesque mouths covering his body let out ear-piercing screeches.

A terrifying circular shockwave exploded outward from Muzan’s body.

This attack disrupted the human nervous system, causing severe muscle spasms. Even the swordsmen trained in breathing techniques lost the ability to move.

This was one of Muzan’s most powerful attacks. As soon as he unleashed it, the entire field was overturned. Uzui Tengen, who was closest, was instantly blown apart into a cloud of blood.

“Damn it!” Sanemi, the Wind Pillar, tried to scream in rage, but he was completely paralyzed on the ground.

Weaker fighters like the Serpent Pillar and Insect Pillar were knocked unconscious by the attack, leaving only Tanjiro and Nezuko still conscious.

However, Tanjiro’s left leg had exploded, rendering him unable to continue fighting, and Nezuko’s combat power was negligible.

“It’s over. We’ve lost,” Ali, standing far away, whispered. After using his Black Flash, he was already out of commission.

Nearby, Darren’s face was equally grim, his eyes bloodshot with frustration.

The ninja had tried to drag Muzan into a genjutsu but, as expected, had failed. His mental energy was nearly depleted, and staying conscious was a challenge in itself.

The story characters were powerless, and the reincarnators were in no better shape. It seemed they had reached the end of the road.

However, not everyone had lost their ability to fight.

Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Pillar, whose physical strength far surpassed that of ordinary humans, was the first to step in front of Muzan.

“I won’t let you take another step!” she shouted as she fiercely engaged the Demon King in battle.

In reality, Mitsuri wasn’t the only one left standing. Another person had also anticipated Muzan’s ultimate attack: Fang Bo.

He had moved himself and his shikigami far away from the main battlefield, narrowly avoiding instant death.

But looking at the current situation, it seemed the Demon Slayer Corps was truly at its limit.

As Fang Bo pondered his next move, a familiar voice suddenly called out to him.

“Hurry, take out that thing.”

Turning his head, he saw the doctor signaling him urgently.

After a brief exchange of glances, Fang Bo hesitated slightly before pulling out a certain item.

It was none other than the *Monster Cells* the doctor had traded him from the world of *One Punch Man*.

“Its item level is high—it should be able to suppress Muzan’s mutation,” the doctor tried to explain.

For a moment, Fang Bo understood his plan.

“Wait, you’re not thinking—”

“Exactly. This is our last option.”

Their conversation lasted no more than ten seconds, but in that short time, Mitsuri Kanroji was sliced in half by Muzan.

Seeing the gruesome death of the Love Pillar, Fang Bo felt no emotion, his mind focused entirely on calculating his next steps.

As long as he could complete the mission, it didn’t matter if everyone else died. No matter how much goodwill he displayed, it was all to ensure a higher mission reward.

The situation was critical, and Fang Bo had no choice but to follow the doctor’s instructions.

Taking the cursed Beyond Elixir in his hand, Fang Bo looked at Muzan and smiled. “You really want this, don’t you?”

Before Muzan could respond, Fang Bo tossed the elixir into Jorogumo’s massive spider maw, forcibly commanding his shikigami to swallow it.

Three consecutive warnings sounded in Fang Bo’s mind, urging him to stop.

Yet, he ignored them and commanded Jorogumo to open its mouth, tossing in the pulsating *Monster Cell* next.

If one was to be eaten, might as well have it eat both.

After completing the task, Fang Bo quickly backed away, watching as Muzan seized Jorogumo by the throat.

“Please, enjoy,” Fang Bo said with a calm smile that lacked any warmth.

It was a straightforward scheme—no tricks, just poison laid bare. Now, the question was: would Muzan dare to consume it?

After all, his thousand-year dream was within reach. Would the mighty Demon King hesitate because of a minor threat?

The answer, of course, was no. Muzan wasted no time and devoured Jorogumo.

The process was gruesome, Jorogumo’s agonizing screams enough to stir the hearts of anyone watching—anyone except Fang Bo, whose expression remained unchanged.

“This guy…” Darren frowned, deep in thought.

Though they seemed on the brink of defeat, seeing the composed expression on his teammate’s face made Darren feel that there might still be a glimmer of hope.

In truth, Fang Bo was out of options. He was simply gambling at this point.

If necessary, he wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice Jorogumo or even use his puppet to kill everyone else present.

Everything was for the sake of completing the high-difficulty mission at hand.

“With how hard this has been, the rewards should be incredible,” Fang Bo mused.

With a flick of his finger, his puppet wielding the *Hec-blade* charged at Muzan.

Breath of the Sun, Fifth Form: Solar Flare Assault!

Encased in a ring of blazing flames, the Nichirin Blade crashed heavily onto the enemy’s body.

Kibutsuji Muzan neither dodged nor avoided the strike, instead meeting the Breath of the Sun’s slash head-on with his chest.

The attack that once struck terror in him no longer posed a serious threat. This proved that the creation of the Blue Spider Lily serum had truly succeeded.

“Hahahaha, I’ve finally overcome my last weakness!”

Amidst the ruins of the collapsed building, Kibutsuji Muzan’s maniacal laughter echoed continuously.

Just then, from the distance, two large serpents intertwined, slashing two deep wounds onto the Demon King’s body.

Breath of the Serpent, Fourth Form: Twin-Headed Serpent Slash!

“I will kill you,” Iguro Obanai’s voice dripped with fury as he stared at the lifeless, severed corpse on the ground.

With the flames of the Nichirin Blade reinforcing him, Obanai’s attack resembled two massive fiery serpents. Furthermore, he had already unlocked the Transparent World.

Despite wielding the power of the strongest trio of abilities, all he could do was restrain the current Muzan.

The same applied to everyone else—every attack seemed incapable of shaking the Demon King.

In that moment, Kibutsuji Muzan suddenly felt a pang of regret. How he wished Yoriichi Tsugikuni were still alive.

“If you were still here, I would have the pleasure of torturing you slowly with my own hands.”

Growing weary of the relentless attacks from the Demon Slayer Corps, Muzan unleashed another sonic burst. The terrifying force killed Obanai on the spot.

As he was about to continue his assault, Muzan’s expression suddenly froze. He looked down at his abdomen.

There, something was squirming, and no matter how hard the Demon King tried, he couldn’t eliminate it.

“Argh!!!”

A blood-curdling scream erupted. The next second, Muzan lost control of his body, suddenly reverting into a monstrous infant form.

Before Tanjiro and the others, a half-bodied spider-like creature, reminiscent of a Jorogumo, crawled out from the mouth of the infant.

But before it could do anything, Muzan swiftly crushed it with a single slap.

Yet soon after, a second half-bodied spider emerged.

Upon entering the world, it immediately launched an attack on Muzan, its blade-like pincers effortlessly tearing through the giant infant’s flesh.

Of course, its fate wasn’t much better. It was also slapped into pieces in an instant.

Then came the third, fourth, fifth…

Before long, the spiders’ emergence rate matched their destruction, and the giant infant’s aura began to rapidly diminish throughout the process.

These creatures were born from Muzan’s own flesh. The dwindling aura signified that even the Demon King could no longer endure.

There was no need to wait for sunrise; the endless wave of half-bodied spiders was already pushing Muzan to the brink.

During this time, Muzan had considered splitting and fleeing, but Tamayo’s poison shattered those hopes.

Unable to restore his normal form and unable to escape by dividing, Muzan finally acknowledged his defeat.

But he was unwilling. How could the Demon King die at the hands of a mere spider?

He could die, but this power must be preserved.

Shifting his gaze slightly, Muzan saw Kamado Tanjiro, lying immobile on the ground.

“Perfect. You know how to use the Breath of the Sun. You are the perfect candidate to inherit my power and become the flawless being I could not.”

With that, Muzan pulled Tanjiro to his side and began pouring his blood into his body.

Who knows how long passed before the Jorogumo let out a furious roar, ripping the infant’s body apart entirely.

This marked the end of the first Demon King.

[You have killed Kibutsuji Muzan.]
