RWWOKS CHapter 107

This entry is part 108 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

**Chapter 107: SSR Shikigami – Oni Mother Yin Hime!**

Kibutsuji Muzan was dead!

The moment they saw his body dissolve, many people shed tears of joy.

After enduring countless hardships, the Demon Slayer Corps had finally eradicated the source of all demons.

From this day forward, people no longer needed to fear the threat of demons.

Before the mission completion notice arrived, Fang Bo focused his attention on his Shikigami.

The Jorogumo, reborn from Muzan’s flesh, had undergone a complete transformation in both appearance and abilities.

Especially her now lively eyes, which possessed a depth they had lacked before. It was a feeling reminiscent of when the Ubume evolved into a follower.

After briefly checking her attributes, Fang Bo was greeted with a delightful surprise.

[Shikigami Name: Jorogumo (Oni Mother Yin Hime)]

[Rank: SSR]

[HP: 280]

[Strength: 15]

[Constitution: 28]

[Agility: 16]

[Spirit: 32]

[Perception: 28]

[Traits: Venomous Bone Corrosion, Oni Mother Spider Queen, Regeneration]

[Skills: Demon King Needle, Spider Mark, Devour Heart and Mind]

**Venomous Bone Corrosion:** Ignores 20% of defense, and the venom inhibits cellular regeneration.

**Oni Mother Spider Queen:** Can lay eggs when provided with sufficient flesh and blood, summoning demon spiders, with the number being half the maximum spirit value.

**Regeneration:** Recovers 1% of HP per second.

“Amazing,” Fang Bo exclaimed with admiration.

When he had Jorogumo consume two items, he was already prepared for the possibility of losing his Shikigami entirely.

Unexpectedly, he received a pleasant surprise—Jorogumo had now truly become an SSR-level Shikigami.

Her attributes had seen a notable improvement, and her 32 points of spirit meant she was no longer weak, even in a second-difficulty world.

Even if she stood still, those around her would feel a palpable sense of mental pressure.

With her regeneration ability, she could fully recover her HP in a hundred seconds, making her an excellent ally for long battles.

Venomous Bone Corrosion was an amalgamation of her former two abilities, and her resilient spider silk had become second nature to her.

The biggest surprise from this evolution, however, was the “Oni Mother Spider Queen” ability.

With enough flesh and blood, Jorogumo could birth low-tier “Spider Soldiers” with decent combat power, fully obedient to their mother’s commands.

Based on her current spirit attribute, Jorogumo could summon up to sixteen spider soldiers, lasting for one story world.

These little creatures could accomplish quite a bit, and if they continuously consumed high-quality flesh, they too could evolve into more advanced beings.

**Tier 1 Spider Soldiers:** They possess basic combat capabilities, with thick, durable hides being their most prominent feature.

**Tier 2 Elite Spiders:** These spiders boast formidable combat strength and can use a variety of offensive techniques.

**Tier 3 Spider Guards/Slaughter Spiders:** They have elite-level combat power.

The spiders Jorogumo had summoned earlier, while devouring Muzan’s flesh, were all Tier 3.

Though Muzan killed them with a single slap, their attacks had still managed to injure him.

Clearly, their elite status was no exaggeration.

However, evolving the demon spiders to Tier 3 wasn’t easy.

It required a tremendous amount of flesh, and each time Jorogumo entered a new story world, she would have to start collecting from scratch.

Essentially, Jorogumo had transformed from a semi-decent crowd-controller into a full-fledged “swarm” Shikigami.

Given enough time, she could create sixteen elite monsters.

What did that mean?

It meant that, by herself, she might possess enough power to take on the entire Krieg Pirate Fleet.

Of course, achieving this would be far more difficult than it sounded—after all, not everywhere offered free demon king flesh to feast on.

Moreover, in the short term, Jorogumo’s attributes couldn’t increase any further, and summoning sixteen demon spiders would already push her to her limit.

Perhaps when advancing to the second-difficulty world, her swarm abilities would truly shine.

Regardless, Jorogumo had more than earned her title as an SSR Shikigami, and Fang Bo was more than satisfied with her attributes and skills.

If there was one downside, it would be the increased merit points required to convert her into a follower.

The cost had risen from 40 merit points to 60, causing Fang Bo’s head to spin.

“What’s the matter, scared stiff?” A soft chuckle came from Jorogumo as she lifted her summoner’s chin with one of her large, black spider legs.

This was a gesture she had never made before.

Having combined the power of Muzan, monstrous cells, and the Blue Spider Lily serum, Jorogumo had become even more lively after her evolution.

It was as though a puppet had suddenly gained consciousness, or perhaps like a blind person regaining their sight.

Fang Bo swatted away the alluring spider leg and was about to say something when a sudden, overwhelming sense of dread enveloped him.

Both he and Jorogumo turned their heads sharply, just in time to see Kamado Tanjiro slowly rise from the ground.

His broken leg had already healed, his lost eye had regenerated, and the pink slit-pupil in his eye made everyone’s heart tighten with fear.

Forced to inherit Muzan’s power, the story’s protagonist had indeed become a demon, and now he was the true Demon King Tanjiro.

“Roar!!”

His horrifying roar sent shivers down everyone’s spine, and his sharp claws left the survivors in stunned silence.

“Tanjiro!”

Someone tried to approach and call out to him, but in the next moment, the “Hidden” member was torn apart by Tanjiro’s claws.

The drastic changes in the storyline meant that many things had spiraled out of control—there was no longer a convenient twist to turn Tanjiro back into a human.

“Damn you, Tanjiro! What have you done?!”

The Wind Hashira was furious. He could no longer stand to see any more casualties.

Since Tanjiro had turned into a demon, they might as well put an end to him directly.

“I will offer a memorial for you, Kamado Tanjiro.”

**Breath of the Wind, Ninth Form: Vaitāra Typhoon!**

Empowered by the force of his Demon Slayer Mark, the Wind Hashira’s body swiftly circled around the enemy, delivering seven or eight strikes in the blink of an eye.

Countless wind blades slashed at Demon King Tanjiro’s body, but none of them had any real effect.

In less than a tenth of a second, the wounds healed completely. The new Demon King’s regeneration ability was far more powerful than Muzan’s.

Not to mention, Tanjiro was the inheritor of the Breath of the Sun, and had been consuming the Blue Spider Lily since childhood like it was candy—sunlight was no longer a threat to him.

Facing the Demon King Tanjiro, the morale of the Demon Slayer Corps plummeted, especially the core group of characters, who were all on the verge of collapse.

However, in the eyes of the newly evolved Jorogumo, the boy in front of her looked as delicious and tempting as a Nagasaki cake. “What a sweet scent,” she purred, licking her lips as if she could devour the boy in one bite.

“Can I eat him?” she asked, turning to her master.

“Eat?” Fang Bo shook his head, glancing around. Unfortunately, he noticed that Shinobu had passed out at some point.

Tanjiro hadn’t fully succumbed yet—in other words, he hadn’t completely absorbed the Demon King’s power.

Even in this incomplete state, he was difficult to handle. Who knew what kind of strength he would have once the transformation was complete?

By then, it would be uncertain who would devour whom.

“Retreat,” Fang Bo ordered without hesitation, signaling for a temporary withdrawal.

As for what would happen to the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps? Sorry, that was no longer his concern.

After all, the world mission only required killing Muzan, not eradicating all demons from the world. Otherwise, even Yushiro would have to fall under the Demon Slayer’s blade.

Seeing Fang Bo withdraw, the others chose not to intervene in the chaos any further.

“At last, it’s over.” Ali, grinning with exhaustion, approached, looking drained as always after using his Black Flash.

“What a shame,” Darren sighed regretfully, brushing his hands over his eyes and muttering wistfully to himself, “If only I could evolve.”

Fang Bo glanced at him for a moment.

If his Three Tomoe Sharingan could evolve, it would undoubtedly become a Mangekyō Sharingan.

If that were to happen, never mind anything else, the heightened perception alone would be enough to kill the Demon King without taking any damage.

But no ability in the world is truly invincible. Even if Darren could activate the Susano’o, he would still need to rely on his spirit power to maintain it.

It was just like Ali’s Black Flash—its power was immense, but in normal combat, it was almost unusable.

To preserve enough spirit power, the Jujutsu Sorcerer even had to refrain from using many of his skills, inadvertently lowering his overall combat effectiveness.

This realization had taught Fang Bo an important lesson: it wasn’t just about having high-level skills. The key was how well you could combine and balance them.

In this regard, the Doctor had done exceptionally well.

As they retreated to a safe distance, Fang Bo was about to speak when a gruesome scene unfolded before them.

Demon King Tanjiro had seized a Nichirin Blade, and with the Breath of the Sun, he drove it straight through the Stone Hashira’s chest.

Under the scorching sunlight, Tanjiro suddenly clutched his head, his expression pained, and he ran into the shadows of a building, vanishing from sight.

Seeing this, Fang Bo pulled out the chest Muzan had dropped, ready to share the loot with his companions.

But before he could act, a notification suddenly rang in his ear.

[World Mission: Demon Slayer (Completed)]

[Calculating results… Generating rewards…]

[Based on your contribution, you may select three rewards from the following options!]

[Option 7: Unique Title – “Death Jester” (Legendary)]

Seven choices, each one a mouth-watering prize.

Even the seemingly ordinary merit points would allow him to immediately convert his Shikigami into a follower.

“L-let’s check our mission rewards first,” Ali stammered, clearly excited by his own impressive gains.

Compared to the world mission rewards, the red chest Muzan dropped now seemed insignificant.
