RWWOKS Chapter 140

This entry is part 141 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

The blatant hostility in the stares made Fang Bo frown slightly. To make matters worse, as soon as he stepped through the door, someone immediately cast a scouting skill on him.

The crowd quickly erupted in gasps.

“He’s got a legendary talent!”

“Looks like what they said was true.”

“So what? Haven’t we seen enough trash with great talents?”

“Yeah, that’s true.”

Ignoring the chatter, Fang Bo and his teammates casually found a corner and sat down under the scrutiny of the crowd.

His perception attribute was so high that he could detect even the tiniest movements, which meant he also sensed malice more acutely than others.

Fang Bo strongly suspected that these jerks were intentionally trying to provoke high-perception reincarnators to see if they could embarrass them.

Maybe if they ran into someone overly sensitive, they could even make them lose face.

“Such childish tricks,” Fang Bo muttered as he pulled out his Dragon Cavalry rifle.

The moment another reincarnator entered the exam hall, Fang Bo pointed the barrel straight at him, ready to shoot at any second.

The large, burly men by the door immediately bolted like frightened rabbits, as if they had turned into scared little wives running out of the room.

This scene sparked a wave of laughter throughout the room, with some even joking about the psychological well-being of those burly men and the health of their mothers.

“That was amusing,” Fang Bo laughed the loudest in the crowd.

After the commotion died down, Fang Bo turned his attention away from the furious group of men and focused on the other reincarnators.

Among his own faction, powerhouses like *Black Soul*, *Yordle*, and *Ruge* had already arrived. The three formed a team, clearly ready to give their all.

He also saw the small figure of Yao Yao waving at him.

After returning the gesture, Fang Bo spotted the reincarnator rumored to have a legendary three-attribute upgrade—the Devil Fruit user *Akazuo*.

“All reincarnators?” Fang Bo wondered.

In fact, there were some plot characters present in the exam hall, but none of the more familiar ones. This wasn’t surprising, considering how many participants were taking the Chunin Exams. One classroom couldn’t possibly hold them all.

Too many people would hinder the proctors’ ability to monitor the exam, so it made sense to separate the candidates.

Apart from a few plot characters, most of those present were reincarnators from various dimensions.

Seeing Ruge wave at him, Fang Bo briefly considered going over to say hello. If they ran into each other in the Forest of Death, it might be useful to have an understanding. That was probably what her team was thinking.

Of course, avoiding them would be even better. Fang Bo had no interest in sharing his rewards with anyone else.

His Jorogumo *mass-production build* was ready to shine. Women would only slow down his progress in accumulating points.

Thinking it over, Fang Bo decided it was better not to greet her. What if she wanted to team up? Rejecting her face-to-face would be awkward, so it was better to just pretend he didn’t see her.

Just then, a familiar figure entered the exam hall, instantly igniting the room’s atmosphere.

A barrage of well-wishes filled the air, starting with compliments for his grandmother and extending all the way to blessings for his possibly non-existent three-year-old daughter. The enthusiasm was akin to that of crazed fans greeting their idol—utterly irrational.

As the recipient of all these blessings, Quincy Long Xian waved calmly to the crowd, raising the noise level by several decibels.

“Seeing you all in such high spirits is reassuring,” Long Xian smiled coldly, adding, “When we get to the second round, I’ll help you relive all the memories from these past few days.”

His attitude was extremely arrogant, yet most of the reincarnators had to admit there was a good chance his words would become reality.

Word had already spread about the Chunin Exam’s structure. Compared to the written test, the second round—the Forest of Death—was the true challenge.

In such a dark and oppressive environment, it would be a playground for those skilled in stealth, meaning it was Quincy Long Xian’s ideal hunting ground.

If this man targeted you, the rest of the exam could be a nightmare. Realizing this, the insults and jeers around the room died down considerably.

Many began avoiding his gaze, while those who still dared to meet his eyes stood out all the more.

Soon, Long Xian spotted an old acquaintance.

“Hey there,” Fang Bo greeted with a friendly wave, as if they were close friends.

“…”

Long Xian’s eye twitched, and for once, he remained silent. He simply found a seat and sat down quietly.

This scene piqued the curiosity of everyone around. They were eager to know just how strong this legendary-talent reincarnator was, if he could make someone like Long Xian back down in public.

“What, backing off already?”

“Guess he’s not that tough, just a coward.”

“Mist Village is doomed if they’re relying on someone like him.”

Ignoring the taunts, Long Xian smirked and stayed quiet.

It wasn’t that he feared Fang Bo. In this environment, Long Xian was confident he could win easily.

But he had more important things to attend to, and revenge was hardly worth the effort.

“Just wait. The third round is where everything will be decided.”

*Bang!*

A cloud of white smoke filled the room as Konoha’s exam proctors finally arrived.

“Alright, quiet down,” the lead proctor said. He was a middle-aged man with long yellow hair, wearing a Konoha Jonin vest.

This was none other than Yamanaka Inoichi, a mental manipulation specialist and the head of Konoha’s intelligence division.

He began explaining the rules for the written exam.

The most important rule was that if any team was caught cheating three times, they would immediately lose their right to continue in the exam.

All the reincarnators knew nothing about the local world’s knowledge, so there was no way they could pass the exam legitimately.

Their only option was to cheat and complete the test without being caught.

Not just them—many plot characters would need to cheat as well. After all, there would always be more average students than geniuses.

To ensure everyone had someone to copy from, a few “pen holders” had been placed around the room. These were easy to spot because only those who understood the material would start writing immediately.

However, Fang Bo soon realized things weren’t as straightforward as they seemed.

He saw one reincarnator form a projection to cheat, only to have another reincarnator “accidentally” disrupt it, revealing that the competition had already begun in full force.

“Sigh, I didn’t expect to be taking exams again at my age.”

With a sigh, Fang Bo focused all his attention on one of the pen holders.

Thanks to his keen perception, he could perfectly replicate the pen holder’s movements, making it easy to fill out his own test.

As for his two clueless teammates, Fang Bo could relay the answers to them telepathically.

With his spirit attribute over 30 points, Fang Bo had unlocked several new abilities, including the ability to establish mental communication.

While other reincarnators were fighting for their lives, Fang Bo calmly completed his test, becoming the third person in the room to submit his paper.

The first to finish was the *Evil Eye* wielder, Black Soul. He had been able to see all the pen holders’ answers and even controlled his teammates to write simultaneously.

Naturally, this made him faster than Fang Bo.

Another person, truth be told, someone Fang Bo didn’t recognize, had already left the classroom by the time Fang Bo finished explaining the answers to his teammates.

“Seems like there are plenty of capable people here.”

Just as he was about to stand up and leave, a male reincarnator behind him suddenly stood up, frantically tearing his exam paper to shreds.

But that wasn’t the end of it. After ripping up his paper, he lunged at a nearby reincarnator, clearly intent on disrupting their exam as well.

“Stop!” Yamanaka Inoichi shouted, immediately appearing in front of the reincarnator.

In the *Naruto* storyline, Yamanaka Inoichi was best known for his clan’s secret techniques, and it seemed his close-combat abilities weren’t particularly emphasized.

However, in this low-difficulty world, the speed he just displayed was unmatched, even by reincarnators who had maxed out their agility.

While the others marveled at the strength of this plot character, something even more shocking occurred.

A wave of invisible energy swept through the room, and everyone, including Fang Bo, received a mental check prompt.

[You are affected by a mass Fear spell. Mental resistance check in progress…]

[Check successful. You have resisted the effects of Fear.]

Fang Bo was fine, but that didn’t mean all the other reincarnators fared as well.

Under the stunned gazes of the proctors, the room quickly descended into chaos.

Leaving the chaotic classroom behind, Fang Bo entered another room meant for those who had passed the exam.

Here, he saw many other teams, all of whom had cleared the exam in different classrooms.

Among them was the strongest team from the Sand Village, who had arrived earlier.

“Hey,” Ruge greeted him with her usual enthusiasm.

However, with the looming battle, Fang Bo could sense that she wasn’t as relaxed as usual.

Black Soul was as quiet as ever, hardly uttering three words, but something seemed off about the other powerhouse, *Ghost Blade Yordle*.

Yordle had been holding a grudge, and Fang Bo suspected that once they entered the Forest of Death, Yordle would doggedly pursue Long Xian for revenge.

That was a prime target, and Fang Bo also wanted a piece of the action. Unfortunately, he wasn’t yet confident enough to kill Long Xian.

“One step at a time.”

As Fang Bo waited in his seat, an idea suddenly struck him, and he closed his eyes to activate his *Battle Aura Sense* skill at full strength.

This ability, inherited from Akaza, allowed him to gauge strength based on the amount of battle aura someone emitted.

It wasn’t 100% accurate, as some could conceal their true power or mislead others’ perceptions, but those with powerful battle aura fluctuations were undoubtedly strong.

For example, the person to Fang Bo’s left. Their battle aura was so intense it resembled a nuclear reactor, the sheer force of it causing Fang Bo to open his eyes.

Slowly turning his head, he realized this person appeared to be just an ordinary reincarnator, with nothing special about their outward appearance.

Curious, Fang Bo rudely used an information-sensing ability on them.

[ID 10932 (Great Demon)]

[Attack inclination: Low]

[Attribute inclination: Strength, Constitution, Agility]

[Trait: Muscle Balloon (Legendary)]

[Threat assessment: A worthy opponent]

Staring at the “Legendary” label next to their talent, Fang Bo’s gaze became more serious.

As someone with a legendary talent himself, Fang Bo knew exactly what those two words meant.

Without the boost from his *Heart of Steel* trait, he would’ve been defeated long ago. His massive health pool was the reason he could afford to stir up trouble everywhere.

Another user of a legendary talent was his childhood friend, Olsen, whose strength hardly needed explanation.

Back in the *One Piece* world, Olsen’s agility had already reached the maximum. By now, he had probably completed a two-attribute upgrade at the very least.

He might not be among the very top reincarnators yet, but it’s worth noting that Olsen had only experienced one more storyline world than Fang Bo.

In other words, Olsen was currently fighting in his fifth storyline world, five worlds away from being forced into the Golden Mainline.

To say that Olsen had limitless potential would be no exaggeration. His future, at a minimum, would likely include a three-attribute upgrade, making him a powerhouse.

This demonstrated just how significant having a legendary talent was for reincarnators.

What’s more, the man sitting before Fang Bo seemed to have a combat-oriented legendary talent.
