RWWOKS Chapter 155

This entry is part 156 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

“Damn brat,” cursed a reincarnator as he struggled to get up from the pool of sticky blood around him.

He took out a piece of chocolate, ate it, and glared at Gaara with resentment in his eyes.

“Still not giving up?” Temari asked, her tone carrying a hint of helplessness.

Kankuro, standing nearby, was ready to attack. He didn’t want Gaara to be provoked further. If that terrifying monster inside Gaara was fully awakened, things could spiral out of control.

Looking at the figure with the gourd on his back, both siblings harbored a deep fear of Gaara in their hearts.

Meanwhile, Fang Bo, standing on a nearby tree branch, signaled to his team to hold back and not act rashly.

At this point, Gaara was truly a killing machine. Even a passing dog would get kicked. Fang Bo wasn’t sure if his own status would hold any sway over Gaara.

As for the reincarnator who had barely survived, he wasn’t planning on fighting to the death. Judging by his darting eyes, it was clear he was looking for an escape route.

Gaara crossed his arms over his chest and casually glanced at the group that had just arrived at the scene.

Due to Fang Bo’s interference in the story, the alliance between the Hidden Sand and Sound Villages had strengthened, and Gaara’s team had been briefed on their plan ahead of time.

Additionally, they had strict orders not to harm any allied members.

Thus, Gaara soon withdrew his gaze. Otherwise, he would have acted the moment they appeared.

On the other side, the reincarnator suddenly made his move, attempting to hide behind the trees for cover.

Fang Bo’s assessment was correct—this guy had no intention of a last-ditch fight.

If the three of them couldn’t win together earlier, there was no way he’d fight alone now.

Escape became his only option.

But he had underestimated his opponent. In a forest environment, Gaara’s combat power was magnified several times over.

The reason was simple: he could crush rocks and turn them into sand, enabling him to unleash large-scale jutsu.

As the reincarnator attempted to flee, Gaara remained calm and collected, lowering his crossed arms.

With a series of swift hand seals, a terrifying wave of sand surged forward, covering the entire area within a radius of several kilometers.

**Flowing Sand Waterfall!**

This was the true Gaara—his semi-Tailed Beast form wasn’t even necessary to be this strong.

With a single action, he changed the entire terrain, leaving everyone around him in awe.

Even Jugo’s expression grew grim as he pondered how he would fare in such a situation.

After quietly considering for a while, his conclusion wasn’t optimistic.

Gaara placed his hand on the sea of sand, his gaze sharp. A wave of invisible energy rippled through the desert.

**Sand Burial!**

In an instant, everything beneath the sand was crushed. Aside from the reincarnator, who knew if there were any other unfortunate victims?

Once the dust had settled, Gaara walked away without looking back, treating everyone around him like they were invisible.

Kankuro, on the other hand, nodded politely to Fang Bo, perhaps out of camaraderie since both were puppet masters.

Watching them leave, Fang Bo and his team continued on their journey.

The remaining reincarnators began grouping up for protection, meaning large-scale battles were now unlikely unless someone wanted to risk getting ambushed.

With the battle between the reincarnators over, Fang Bo now had his own mission to attend to.

“Let’s check on what Orochimaru is up to.”

Meanwhile, the legendary Seventh Squad was facing a major crisis.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura had encountered a powerful enemy—but it wasn’t Orochimaru as they had expected. Instead, it was a team of reincarnators from the Hidden Sand Village.

The enemy had some strange abilities, and young Naruto was no match for them. Fortunately, Sasuke’s performance was as consistent as ever, and with his Sharingan, he managed to repel the enemy.

However, the Sand reincarnators were not so easily discouraged.

In the reincarnation space, the Sharingan was also legendary. As a descendant of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke Uchiha was often a coveted target.

Despite rumors that the boy was protected by fate and couldn’t be killed by ordinary means, people still wanted to try.

Determined to seize the Sharingan, the reincarnators had even skipped the earlier battle.

Once the terrain effect ended, they recklessly charged forward and successfully cornered their target.

Their first attack failed, but they still managed to injure Naruto. A second assault was coming soon.

Before long, the reincarnators regrouped and, using some sensory abilities, managed to track down the Seventh Squad again.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were too inexperienced. Without external help, their real combat power might be the weakest among the Konoha Twelve.

They were no match for the cunning reincarnators.

It didn’t take long for the Seventh Squad to be pushed to the brink of defeat, until Naruto finally activated his trump card.

“Ahhh!!” Naruto screamed, unleashing the power of the Nine-Tails, knocking down several reincarnators.

However, his kind heart prevented him from finishing them off. After grabbing their scroll, he let them go.

Both Sasuke and Sakura understood his actions.

At this point, the Seventh Squad had just finished the Land of Waves mission, and their understanding of “enemies” was still naive.

It wasn’t until the reincarnators returned and kidnapped Sakura that Naruto and Sasuke realized they couldn’t be so soft with enemies.

“Cut off your own arm, or I’ll kill her,” one of the reincarnators said coldly, stabbing Sakura in the stomach with a kunai to show he was serious.

Blood poured out, instantly causing both boys to go red with rage.

“S-Sasuke, you do it,” Naruto gritted his teeth, asking his friend to cut off his arm.

He couldn’t stand seeing Sakura in danger—this was a bond he had fought hard for, and he would risk his life to protect it.

“No, we can’t do that,” Sasuke forced himself to stay calm. Unlike Naruto, his mind was sharper.

It wasn’t that he didn’t care about his friends, but he knew that even if they cut off Naruto’s arm, those three wouldn’t spare Sakura.

Sasuke lightly touched Naruto, their eyes meeting. In that moment, they both understood each other’s plan.

“I’ve never tried this before, but let’s gamble,” Sasuke said, holding up their scroll and pretending to surrender.

As the reincarnators prepared to taunt them, they suddenly saw those crimson eyes.

**Genjutsu: Sharingan!**

“Naruto!!”

The windmill shuriken flew through the air, its sharp blades slicing through the reincarnator’s neck.

In the blink of an eye, Sasuke caught Sakura, while the windmill shuriken transformed back into Naruto.

They had replicated their classic tactic, once again winning the battle.

They chased off two reincarnators and bound the heavily injured one, breaking his limbs to prevent escape.

“Phew, that should do it.”

“Damn it, we underestimated them.”

The two surviving reincarnators fled far from the target, now fully aware of how formidable their opponents were.

Fortunately, the characters from the story were merciful. Their injured comrade would survive, giving them a chance to rescue him later.

Due to the reincarnator responsible for sensing being captured, they failed to notice a giant snake rapidly approaching from behind.

By the time the snake opened its massive jaws and swallowed the gunner whole, the remaining person finally realized what was happening.

“What the hell is that?!”

However, Orochimaru wasn’t in the mood for idle chatter. With a simple wave, he effortlessly dispatched the two reincarnators.

This was the power of a Kage-level ninja—no matter how many reincarnators came at him, it would be futile.

As for the alliance between the two factions, to be honest, Orochimaru had never cared about the so-called alliance with the Hidden Sand from the beginning.

A village that could be infiltrated so easily, where only the Kazekage posed any real threat while the others were mere background characters, wasn’t worth the attention of someone at the level of the Legendary Sannin.

He was merely using them as a distraction for Konoha.

Once he killed the Third Hokage, he planned to use the resurrected Kage through the **Edo Tensei** to completely destroy the Leaf Village.

At that point, if he felt like it, he could easily wipe out the Hidden Sand’s forces as well.

The Orochimaru of the past might not have been so aggressive, but things were different now. He had the confidence to complete the Konoha Crush plan.

“Speaking of which, I should thank you, Hongshu-kun,” Orochimaru said, turning to the group that had just arrived before him.

As his direct subordinates, Jugo and Guren immediately knelt before him, while Fang Bo had no such intentions.

After silently accepting Orochimaru’s gratitude, Fang Bo asked with curiosity, “Is that guy useful to you?”

In an earlier hidden mission, Fang Bo had used a **Fate Token** to successfully capture Yamato, who was far away.

Though Yamato’s combat power wasn’t all that impressive, he did possess Hashirama cells, making him highly valuable.

Tobi had once used him as an energy source, single-handedly holding back the Allied Shinobi Forces.

If Orochimaru were to use him as a medium for the **Edo Tensei**, it would undoubtedly greatly enhance the power of the First Hokage.

“Very useful,” Orochimaru nodded with a playful expression. “Hongshu-kun, I assume you’ve come here for a reason?”

Kage-level ninjas have terrifying sensory abilities—not quite as sharp as Karin’s, but Orochimaru could still sense the movements of Fang Bo’s team.

They had come to him deliberately, and he didn’t believe it was a coincidence.

Naturally, Fang Bo wasn’t about to reveal the truth. He couldn’t very well say that he wanted to lock onto Orochimaru’s location to track down Anko’s likely route.

No matter what Orochimaru thought, Fang Bo was determined to kill her.

A Tokubetsu Jonin was still a Jonin, and someone like her wasn’t easy to find. All the other targets he knew of were even harder to deal with than Anko.

For the sake of his war mission, there was no way Fang Bo was going to let such a prime opportunity slip by.

“I’ve come to offer a gift,” Fang Bo said, pushing Karin forward and briefly explaining her abilities. “If I’m not mistaken, she should be a descendant of the Uzumaki Clan.”

“Oh?” Orochimaru’s eyes lit up instantly.

A descendant of the Uzumaki Clan would make for an excellent experiment, especially with the unique abilities this young girl possessed—abilities even Orochimaru, with all his knowledge, had never heard of before.

She was certainly worth studying in great detail.

Poor Karin had been sold off by Fang Bo just like that. As for the price of betraying her…

“If possible, I’d like to ask for Kimimaro’s help one more time,” Fang Bo requested.

He had already used up the favors owed to him, and as a top-tier powerhouse, the Ghost King Kimimaro wouldn’t continue taking his orders.

But Fang Bo still needed the help of a strong ally for another goal, and this was the perfect opportunity to secure another favor.

As long as Orochimaru agreed, even if it meant sending Kimimaro on a deadly mission, Fang Bo would be satisfied.

“Agreed,” Orochimaru nodded without much hesitation.

He was a man who cared only about personal gain and loss.

To him, everyone was a tool—including Kimimaro, who idolized him, and Kabuto, who devoted everything to helping him.

When dealing with such a person, anything could be bought or sold for the right price.

Taking the teary-eyed Karin with him, Orochimaru hurried off to “plant strawberries” on Uchiha Sasuke.

Meanwhile, Fang Bo and his team changed course, preparing to intercept Anko Mitarashi.

Can I just ask for a few simple improvements on this site? I’d like it if when I click light mode, it stays light mode and not change to dark when I click next chapter, also if you could add a script to make right -> arrow go to next chapter, it would vastly improve my reading experience.

    • Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate your suggestions to improve the site. I’ll definitely look into keeping the light mode consistent across chapters, as well as adding a script to allow the right arrow key to navigate to the next chapter.
