RWWOKS Chapter 163

This entry is part 164 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

As one of the top three fighters from the Iwagakure camp, Victor’s strength was naturally formidable.

[ID 12242 (Cyborg)]

[Combat Tendency: Aggressive]

[Attribute Focus: Agility, Spirit, Strength]

[Special Trait: Mechanical Heart]

[Threat Assessment: Equal Match]

**Mechanical Heart**: Reduces energy consumption by 75% and improves the efficiency of mechanical parts by 10%.

With three maxed attributes, it was clear that this was standard for top-tier fighters. In terms of stats, Fang Bo didn’t have a significant advantage. What mattered now was how well they used their abilities and performed in battle.

After downing a “Lesser Spirit Elixir,” Fang Bo’s spirit attribute instantly increased by 5 points. Then, he hurled his hammer-shaped treasure towards the enemy.

In their first exchange, Victor didn’t dodge. Instead, he raised his arm blades to block the incoming **Elemental Hammer**. The hammer’s sheer weight pushed him back four or five meters, but that was it—no real damage was done.

“Nice speed, but you’re lacking in power.”

Hot streams of air blasted out from the mechanical exhaust pipes on Victor’s feet, launching him into the sky. His palms erupted with a barrage of flames, as if he were wielding a machine gun.

Fang Bo quickly raised his **Energy Shield** to block the damage, but neither side landed any decisive blows in their first round.

Watching the sparks fly off his shield, Fang Bo knew he couldn’t hold out for long—at most, ten more seconds before the shield’s durability would hit zero.

With a slight twitch of his left index finger, **Yoriichi Zero Type** shot up into the air, its **Sun Breathing** blade aiming straight for Victor’s heart.

**Fifth Form: Sunflower Thrust!**

If this had been on the ground, dodging such an attack would’ve been incredibly difficult since Fang Bo was no longer a novice in close combat. As long as the weapon had the right attributes, he had no problem jumping into the fray himself.

The issue was, **Yoriichi Zero Type** wasn’t designed for aerial combat. Its somewhat clunky attack style wasn’t something that a skilled aerial combatant like Victor would take seriously.

With a burst of flame from his palm, Victor shifted in mid-air, easily dodging the heart-piercing thrust. Then, he countered with a punch, slamming into the puppet and sending it crashing to the ground.

Seeing this, Fang Bo realized that his puppet wouldn’t be of much help in this battle.

“What a troublesome opponent,” he thought.

His energy shield was now down to half its durability, and he had no idea how much ammunition the enemy had left. Judging by the situation, Victor likely had more resources than Fang Bo had shield durability, meaning he had to switch to a different strategy.

With a flick of his black cape, Fang Bo sprang into the air, leveraging his high agility for short bursts of speed to dodge the rain of bullets.

As for dodging in mid-air, that was where his **Memory Armor** came into play.

Once **Hover Boost** was activated, his speed wasn’t quite on par with Victor’s, but it was close enough to level the playing field.

More importantly, he could now pull his puppet into the air, using it like a projectile to hurl at the enemy.

After a few tries, Fang Bo began to pose a real threat to Victor, and his confidence grew.

“Damn, this guy’s a real pain. Isn’t he supposed to be a summoner?” Victor muttered, furrowing his brow. He hadn’t expected the battle to drag on like this.

In the early stages, Victor’s mechanical firepower usually gave him the upper hand. Against most opponents, his aerial bombardment and machine gun fire were enough to end the fight quickly, with the only downside being the cost of a few bullets.

Victor had even mentally rehearsed the fight, imagining how he would wipe out Fang Bo’s summoned spider creatures one by one before finishing off the summoner himself. He’d even planned out how he would kill Fang Bo before the surrender countdown could finish.

But now, it had turned into an aerial dogfight, and it looked like he wasn’t going to win any time soon.

Glancing at Fang Bo’s shoes, Victor decided to abandon his ultimate move and try to gain the upper hand in close combat.

After all, Fang Bo was a summoner—sure, he could fly, but that was probably just because of his equipment.

There was no way he could match Victor in close combat, right?

Dodging another attack from the puppet, Victor rocketed toward Fang Bo with the help of his leg rockets.

If only Fang Bo had his **Noble Phantasms** ready, he could’ve shot Victor down immediately. But activating them took too long, so instead, he pulled out his **Dragoon Rifle** and fired an **Electro-Bullet**, hoping to short-circuit Victor’s machinery, even though the chances were slim.

[You activated the skill Ammo Master, consuming 2 points of Spirit. The next bullet will deal additional lightning damage.]

[Your lightning round dealt 20 points of damage.]

That was it?

There wasn’t even a hint of a negative effect—no paralysis, not even a little malfunction. The bullet’s damage was shockingly low.

Fang Bo guessed that Victor’s gear must have some sort of resistance to this type of attack.

With his plan failing, Fang Bo had no choice but to brace himself as Victor closed in.

Seeing the fist coming his way, Fang Bo quickly reactivated his energy shield.

“Still using that trick?” Victor sneered, his right arm crackling with lightning and fire.

Using a specialized ancient martial technique, he concentrated his energy into a single point and unleashed it in a devastating blow.

**Boom!**

The energy shield shattered instantly, and Fang Bo was smashed down to the ground like a volleyball.

[You took 133 points of damage from ID 12242.]

[Your talent “Heart of Steel” triggered, recovering 96 points of health.]

Fang Bo’s luck came through, activating an overpowered recovery from **Heart of Steel**.

What looked like a devastating attack only ended up dealing 37 points of damage.

Even accounting for the fall, he only lost a total of 40 health points.

**Health: 300/340 (+150)**

Slowly getting back on his feet, Fang Bo couldn’t help but smirk at his overconfident opponent.

If he summoned his **Shikigami**, his spider creatures could cling to the ceiling. With a bit of coordination with **Jorogumo**, capturing Victor would be easy.

But Fang Bo wasn’t willing to waste 80 storyline points. Instead, he decided to rely on his own strength to win.

“No need to drag this out any longer.”

Dark marks began to spread across his body as he entered **Cursed Seal Level 2**.

**Cursed Seal Level 2: +6 Spirit, +4 Agility, loses 5 HP per second.**

With the potion’s effect boosting him, Fang Bo’s Spirit stat now hit an astonishing 45 points.

Activating his hover boost, his speed now surpassed Victor’s.

In other words, the tables had turned.

“Damn it!” Victor cursed, instinctively firing his machine gun.

But little did he know, Fang Bo’s perception attribute was off the charts as well.

With speed matching his heightened perception, dodging the bullet storm wasn’t all that difficult.

With the help of his wings and boots, Fang Bo performed a high-speed, mid-air maneuver, elegantly dodging the incoming chain of fire.

As he closed in on Victor, Fang Bo pressed his palm against the cyborg’s chest and activated his **Deteriorate** skill, setting Victor’s mechanical body ablaze.

[Target is now under burn status, receiving 5 points of fire damage per second, lasting for 10 seconds.]

The **Deteriorate** skill bypasses all resistances—whether it’s metal or even ice, it can make anything ignite.

Although the damage wasn’t substantial, it served to distract the enemy.

As Victor frantically tried to shake off the flames, behind him, the **Gate of the Treasury** had already begun to open.

**Crescent Moon Dragon** shot out, transformed into a golden dragon thanks to the activation of **Dragon Slash**, and sank its fangs into Victor’s waist.

Following closely behind was the **Shadow Moon Fork**, which remained invisible until it struck its target, delivering another heavy blow.

Taking consecutive hits, Victor knew he was in a dire situation. If he let Fang Bo continue his barrage of attacks, who knows how much damage he could rack up?

Left with no choice, Victor activated his energy core at full power, unleashing a torrent of searing energy from every part of his body.

For the moment, he had managed to escape the immediate danger.

But as soon as Victor’s energy burst ended, the mechanical sensors in his eyes started to flash warnings.

[Warning: High-energy target detected!]

[Warning: You are locked onto by an enemy attack!]

[Attack lethality rate: 72.85%]

Seeing the numbers displayed by his sensors, Victor took a sharp breath in—not figuratively, but literally, as the air around him felt freezing cold.

Glancing down in a panic, he saw Fang Bo assume a familiar stance.

Several quick-witted onlookers shifted their gaze to **Tsang Yue**, the sea fighter.

“Interesting,” Tsang Yue mused, straightening his posture and locking his gaze on Fang Bo, who had taken the same stance.

Fang Bo channeled an overwhelming surge of power, releasing a massive amount of spirit energy—up to 30 points—as he prepared to unleash a devastating attack on Victor above him.

The signature move of the Gold Saint **Camus**:

**Aurora Execution!**

“If I don’t block this, I’m dead,” Victor thought, his eyes widening in terror as his body erupted with a blinding glow of heat.

In a desperate move, he focused all his energy into his chest.

“You’re the one who’s going to die!” he roared.

**Super Burn Cannon!**

One blast of ice and one blast of fire—two opposing forces clashed in mid-air.

For a moment, it seemed like the two might be evenly matched. But in the instant their attacks met, Victor’s supposedly unstoppable **Super Burn Cannon** began to freeze.

Within three seconds, it had crystallized into a beautiful, spiral-shaped block of ice.

As for Victor, frozen in the act of releasing his attack, he remained in that posture as his life slipped away.

[You have killed an enemy Reincarnator from an opposing space and earned a personal exclusive kill chest.]

[You have earned 15 battlefield points.]

It looked almost comical, but no one dared to laugh. How was it possible to not only copy a skill but execute it with the same devastating power as Tsang Yue’s original?

Tsang Yue, a Sea Fighter, was wearing an unknown-grade **Fish Scale Armor**, so his moves were expected to have this kind of power.

But everyone was left wondering: how did Fang Bo manage to instantly kill an enemy with the same technique?

Fang Bo had no interest in explaining, nor would he mention that, thanks to his potion and the cursed seal, his spirit attribute was nearing 50 points.

He had poured 30 points of spirit into that attack—given the massive boost in his attributes, it wasn’t surprising that the power of his version was almost 70% stronger than the original.

It would’ve been strange if Victor had *survived*.

**Personal Points: 63**

Fang Bo glanced at his current point tally, a satisfied smile forming on his face.

It really paid off to fight strong opponents—one battle had given him 15 points, which was equivalent to 15 merit points!

And let’s not forget, there was still the exclusive kill chest waiting for him.

“Killing so many people, if I don’t have at least ten thousand points by now, I’d feel embarrassed,” he muttered, already daydreaming about his newfound wealth.

[War Task 2: Kill 18/20 enemy village ninjas.]

“Just two more kills, and I’ll complete my second war task.”

“By then, maybe my points will exceed 80.”

In reality, after slaying Victor, Fang Bo’s personal score had already placed him in the top five, just two points shy of fourth place.

No matter how others saw it, he was now firmly established as one of the strongest fighters that everyone would remember.
