RWWOKS Chapter 170

This entry is part 171 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

[Would you like to spend 1000 Plot Points to learn the Yin Seal skill?]

“Damn, that’s expensive,” Fang Bo muttered, cursing under his breath but still confirming the purchase without hesitation.

An S-rank skill—such things could only be encountered in a difficulty-three world.

Without his foresight, even all the reincarnators combined would never have defeated a Kage-level opponent.

The skill was valuable enough on its own, but being a rare passive skill made it even more desirable.

If he put it up for sale, reincarnators from difficulty levels one through three would probably go wild for it.

As he confirmed the learning process, the scroll dissolved into a beam of light, merging into his mind.

Once he had fully adapted, a diamond-shaped mark began to form on his forehead, the result of the Yin Seal.

Using the metal reflection from his Dragoon weapon, he admired his new look.

“Not bad. Adds a bit of mystery.”

After about twenty minutes, Kimimaro’s evolution finally finished.

The young man appeared unchanged, but when Fang Bo activated his aura sense, he detected the terrifying power now hidden within that slim frame.

After consuming Tsunade’s legendary bloodline, Kimimaro’s chakra had increased by at least 30%.

Even without the Curse Mark or demon king’s blood, the young man was now a genuine Kage-level fighter.

With all states activated, his strength would easily reach high-tier Kage-level, possibly even able to hold his own against a prime Hiruzen Sarutobi with his regenerative abilities.

If he continued to consume more powerful opponents, Kimimaro might eventually reign supreme within the Kage level.

“I suppose I did something good here,” Fang Bo chuckled, leaving Tanzaku Street alongside the newly evolved Kimimaro.

Soon after, his spirit power had fully recovered, and the Yin Seal began storing excess energy.

Once the ten points were fully stored, Fang Bo headed to a nearby clearing to test out his newly saved attack skills.

The mimicry ability of his Memory Armor could store only one skill at a time and would erase it after use.

For versatility, Fang Bo generally chose high-power attack skills.

Just before leaving the exam arena, he’d found a trump card by copying a move from the mysterious evil-eyed fighter known as Black Soul.

He had also advanced to the third round of exams and finally revealed his strength in battle.

With maxed spirit and agility, he was rumored to be pushing his strength attribute as well.

As the inheritor of the Infernal King’s Hellfire Fist, Black Soul’s power was on par with top fighters, making it worthwhile for Fang Bo to copy his technique.

Focusing on the dark forest ahead, Fang Bo concentrated, channeling his spirit power into his fist like a rising tide.

Ten points, twenty points…

Dark red flames began to seethe, swirling around his fist.

**Infernal King’s Hellfire Inferno Strike!**

He unleashed a punch, and a torrent of blazing fire instantly annihilated a section of the forest.

“Excellent. It really can amplify skill power.”

Of the twenty points he had invested, ten came from the stored spirit power of the Yin Seal.

It turned out that the stored spirit could indeed be used to fuel skills.

If he added techniques like the Curse Mark or spirit potions, his power output could easily exceed fifty points.

In a difficulty-two world, even without gear or title boosts, reincarnators could barely reach 49 points at most.

Feeling the surge of energy on his fist, Fang Bo resolved to prioritize upgrading the S-rank Yin Seal.

The question now was, how many plot points would it cost to level an S-rank skill?

– E-rank skills cost 50 plot points per level.

– D-rank skills cost 80 plot points per level.

– C-rank skills cost 120 plot points per level.

– B-rank skills cost 200 plot points per level.

– A-rank skills cost 400 plot points per level.

– S-rank skills cost 1000 plot points per level.

Just reaching level six for this passive skill would require a whopping 21,000 plot points.

Maxing it out would take around 78,000 plot points.

“…Let’s pretend I didn’t say anything about maxing it out.”

As a top-tier skill in a difficulty-three world, just leveling it up was dauntingly expensive.

It would be impossible for Fang Bo to max it out. A few levels should be good enough.

“Seems like each level will add more storage capacity,” he thought, picturing himself unleashing a hundred points of spirit power in one blow to take down a boss.

Originally, he’d worried that the increasing number of Noble Phantasms might limit his attacks.

Summoning each Noble Phantasm cost one point of spirit, and the cost wasn’t trivial.

But with Yin Seal, Fang Bo could now manage these smaller spirit drains without concern.

“No matter the cost, I’ll have to raise the spirit storage to at least 20 points.”

Fang Bo’s aspirations quickly lowered from maxing out the skill to just increasing his spirit reserve to 20 points.

With limited resources, he would settle for whatever he could sell off for a good price.

Soon, Fang Bo returned to Konoha Village.

Thanks to Kimimaro’s appetite, no one outside had any clue that the disturbance in Tanzaku Street stemmed from Tsunade.

Even if they found out, few would believe that a legendary Sannin had been defeated by his hand.

It was a limitation of thinking—at least Fang Bo wouldn’t have to worry about revenge from other high-level fighters.

“Humming a little tune,” Fang Bo returned to his hotel, where Yao Yao was hopping around excitedly, claiming she had just tamed an amazing summon.

Fang Bo expressed interest, only to be flatly rejected by the little girl.

“This is my trump card. I can’t just show it to anyone!”

Despite her words, she wore an expression that practically invited him to beg.

She figured he’d see it eventually, so showing her companion now wouldn’t matter, but she still wanted him to beg a little to satisfy her pride.

Unfortunately, Fang Bo wasn’t very interested. His inquiry had been offhand, and he didn’t care much for her summon, especially since he had dismissed even the summoning beasts of the Three Great Sage Regions.

Stretching lazily, he prepared to head to the evening’s trading event.

Similar events were held every night, though most were small gatherings.

Only when a major buyer appeared would more reincarnators show up. Tonight, Fang Bo was the one playing the role of “big spender.”

“Hey!” disappointed by his lack of interest, Yao Yao tagged along behind him like a shadow. “Are you buying anything special? I might have what you’re looking for.”

As if to prove her point, she gave her stomach a pat, indicating the pocket where she stored her items.

Fang Bo hadn’t thought much of it at first, but after seeing her gesture, he suddenly grew interested.

This little girl seemed to have an endless supply of items, and that belly pouch of hers surely had some mysterious storage. Fang Bo decided to test her out a bit.

After all, it wouldn’t cost him anything to try.

Politely inviting her into his room, Fang Bo directly described his need: “I need a way to control things remotely. Think you can find that for me?”

With the intensity of battles escalating, the capabilities of the Yoriichi Type Zero puppet were falling behind. Upgrading his puppet was essential, and ideally, he wanted to create his own human puppet.

But the main problem was still in the control mechanism.

He could equip a puppet on both his primary and secondary hands, and he even had the skill to control two puppets at once.

However, this setup limited his own movements. If he flew, the puppets would have to fly with him; if he went underwater, he couldn’t expect the puppets to stay on shore.

And when he needed to use certain mimicry skills, he might have to abandon puppet control temporarily.

While it seemed manageable, it threw off his combat rhythm and prevented him from using his full potential.

The best solution would be learning remote control, issuing commands to the puppets solely through thought.

Fang Bo had looked into it; such a technique did exist, though it was costly.

He hadn’t found anyone with it yet, but he figured he’d see if the girl’s belly pouch lived up to the hype.

“Oh, I see.” Yao Yao nodded and started rummaging through her pouch, digging and digging for quite a while.

After all that, she still hadn’t pulled out what he wanted.

Fang Bo, unimpressed, opened the door with a thought, picked her up by the collar, and tossed her out.

“Hey?”

Ignoring her protests, he opened the window and jumped down to the street below.

Come to think of it, he hadn’t properly explored Konoha Village yet. Now was a good time to stroll around.

At the very least, he ought to try a bowl of Ichiraku Ramen, right?

He could deal with any other matters after filling his stomach.

Soon, night fell, and a satisfied Fang Bo was ready to attend the trade event.

Just then, he overheard a conversation from the table next to him.

“Hey, let’s head out quickly after we’re done eating.”

“Right. If we leave too late, we might run into one of those man-eating demons.”

“Oh, come on, you really believe those crazy rumors?”

“It’s not just rumors. My neighbor saw it with his own eyes the other night—a demon devouring someone.”

“What’s there to worry about? We have the Hokage watching over us.”

With that, one of the young men swaggered out, completely unconcerned.

Disregarding his friends’ protests, he decided to take the shortcut home alone.

“Demon, my foot,” he muttered, gazing at Hokage Rock with a fanatical look. “With the Hokage here, nothing could possibly threaten Konoha.”

It was clear this guy had been thoroughly brainwashed by the Will of Fire.

Cheering for it was one thing, but risking his life was pure foolishness.

Not long after, a blood-curdling scream rang through the night, marking the end of the man’s life.

Hidden in the shadows, Fang Bo watched it all unfold, knowing Kimimaro’s plan had succeeded.

Though everything appeared calm on the surface, Konoha was already teeming with tension, a powder keg ready to ignite.

Slowly retreating into the darkness, Fang Bo’s silhouette vanished.

Moments later, two ANBU operatives arrived on the scene.

“Another victim.”

“That makes it the fifth case this week.”

“We need to find the culprit before they slip away.”

Even if regular civilians became demons, they wouldn’t be a match for ANBU and would be swiftly eliminated.

However, some infected individuals had unique abilities.

Tonight’s perpetrator was one of those rare cases.

That blood demon technique was especially strong, so these two unsuspecting ANBU might have their work cut out for them.

Of course, none of this concerned Fang Bo; his main focus was tonight’s trade event.

“Hey, I found it!”

Just as he walked in, Yao Yao eagerly pulled him aside.

Lost in thought, Fang Bo didn’t immediately realize what she meant. After a few seconds, it clicked.

“You really found it?” he asked, surprised.

He’d been half-joking when he asked, but it looked like the girl had managed to surprise him.
