RWWOKS Chapter 174

This entry is part 175 of 186 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

As smoke filled the area ahead, three reincarnators gathered, expressions grim. With no notification from the space system, Shirou Emiya knew that the explosive tag trap hadn’t killed Sasuke.

“Stubbornly resilient,” he thought with a cold smirk, then glanced over at the older woman beside him. His ability was powerful against women, but when it came to men, it was significantly less effective. Of course, there were exceptions—men occasionally fell for his “charm,” but it was rare.

To eliminate Uchiha Sasuke, he’d ultimately have to rely on the seasoned warrior beside him.

“Leave it to me,” she said, spurred on by his affectionate gaze.

Drawing a longsword from her storage, dark purple energy began to wrap around the blade. With a slash, she cut through the smoke, sending a blade of energy flying straight at Sasuke.

But Sasuke was no longer the same as he’d been. Having mastered Rock Lee’s baseline speed, his agility now surpassed any reincarnator present.

By the time they regained their senses, Sasuke had already set the unconscious Sakura safely aside. He formed a few hand signs, and the piercing chirp of the Chidori filled the air.

Watching the intense lightning chakra around him, Shirou Emiya felt a chill run down his spine, realizing the true danger of today’s mission. While his allies took up defensive stances, he began inching backward.

Years of survival had taught him to rely on more than just charm and resilience; caution had saved him numerous times. He remembered Sasuke’s performance in the preliminaries, and it was clear the young Uchiha hadn’t yet shown his full strength.

“If he activates his power-boosting abilities, even the three of us might not stand a chance,” he thought, retreating even faster.

But no matter how quick his steps, they couldn’t match the speed of Sasuke’s Chidori dash.

The remaining two reincarnators tried to intercept him, but Sasuke dodged every attack with frightening precision. With the screeching Chidori, Sasuke’s hand plunged into the chest of his male opponent.

[You have taken a critical hit from Sasuke’s Chidori, suffering 286 points of damage.]

The heart, pierced with nearly 300 points of damage, was a fatal wound for almost any reincarnator who wasn’t a top-tier tank. The man wasn’t a defensive type, and so Sasuke’s attack finished him in one blow.

Ducking away from the woman’s slash, Sasuke backflipped to create distance between them. With another familiar cry of the Chidori, he prepared to strike again. His enemy’s killing intent was clear; Sasuke would show no mercy.

“You’ll regret this!” he yelled, charging forward.

The woman holding the blade tensed up, her face filled with grim determination. At that critical moment, she didn’t think of saving herself but of buying time for her beloved comrade to escape.

With dark purple lightning swirling around her sword, she unleashed her strongest attack.

**Thunderous Divine Fang!**

“I won’t let him hurt you,” she vowed, slashing down.

As Shirou Emiya fled down the steep cliffside, he didn’t look back. Many women had died for him before; this one was no different. Initially, their loyalty had moved him, but over time he’d become numb. Now, nothing mattered more than his own survival.

But survival isn’t always up to chance alone.

Sasuke was no longer a threat, but that didn’t mean Emiya could rest easy. A small dot appeared on the horizon, growing closer until it revealed another reincarnator from a different faction.

As the figure landed in front of him, Shirou Emiya’s heart sank. He recognized him instantly.

The brutal scene of Victor’s defeat was fresh in his mind. Against this powerful adversary, even with his modifications, he’d likely last less than a minute.

Desperate, Emiya unleashed his charm ability, casting a seductive aura. If the reincarnator had been a woman, she might have hesitated. But to his dismay, the man showed no reaction.

It wasn’t that his skill failed; it was that Fang Bo’s attention wasn’t on him. His gaze was fixed on Sasuke, observing the young shinobi closely.

The memory armor was currently copying Sasuke’s Chidori.

**15%…28%…44%**

Only when the replication reached 100% did Fang Bo finally turn his gaze toward the preening male reincarnator in front of him.

Golden ripples emanated around him as five weapons shot forth, leaving Emiya with no time to dodge.

[Your Noble Phantasms deal 28 damage to #10947]

[Your Noble Phantasms deal 34 damage to #10947]

[Your Noble Phantasms deal 22 damage to #10947]

With a total of 84 points of damage, Emiya’s pained yells filled the air, his words a jumble of strange phrases—something about being unworthy, being a ruler, and men and women.

“What a strange guy,” Fang Bo thought.

With the five-second cooldown over, the golden ripples reappeared, signaling another volley. Fang Bo had to admit, there was something satisfying about dispatching enemies without even moving.

If he could master bead manipulation, he’d be able to control puppets with ease, standing still as his opponents fell one by one.

Power came and went, but style was forever.

“No, you can’t kill me! I’m destined to rule the reincarnation space—” Before he could finish, Shirou Emiya was hit by a second barrage of Noble Phantasms, leaving him with barely a sliver of health.

“Not much power, but his health sure is high,” Fang Bo mused.

Just then, a pink chain shot out of the smoke, coiling around Fang Bo in mid-air as if alive.

[You have been bound by the Positive Pole Lock, entering a ten-second immobilization state. You cannot move, use equipment, or use items.]

“Huh?” Fang Bo was taken aback. He hadn’t expected his opponent to have something like this up his sleeve. If he’d used it right away, well…no, the result would’ve been the same—Emiya still wouldn’t have survived the Noble Phantasms.

Restricted by the chain, Fang Bo couldn’t move or use his items or equipment, but his skills remained unaffected.

Shirou Emiya barely managed to stumble a few steps away before golden ripples formed above him once more.

“Wait!” he shouted, hoping his information might buy him time.

To secure the Sharingan, a few reincarnators had used merit points to extend their stay on the battlefield. Even though they hadn’t advanced to the third round, they were still free to move around in the world of Naruto. This was a privilege that came with advancing to a higher rank.

Even if they failed to obtain their target, they certainly weren’t willing to lose their lives in the process. Shirou Emiya attempted to bargain for his life with intelligence from the Hidden Cloud faction, but he had misjudged Fang Bo’s ruthlessness. At this point, any information the man had was worthless.

Besides, Fang Bo had more pressing matters—he needed to inform Sasuke of Uchiha Itachi’s presence before Kakashi arrived to set off the events to come. Compared to that, Emiya’s information meant nothing.

Soon, a flurry of Noble Phantasms pinned the reincarnator to the ground, finishing him off.

“Take your secrets to the grave, scum.”

[You have killed an enemy reincarnator and received a personal exclusive kill loot box.]

[You have gained 3 battle points.]

With another three points added, Fang Bo’s score reached ninety-six, placing him second on the battlefield leaderboard. The top spot was still held by Chizhu, a reincarnator from the Leaf faction with a Devil Fruit ability. Chizhu had racked up a staggering 109 points, a testament to how many reincarnators he had taken down.

If Fang Bo wanted the top spot, he’d need to find an opportunity to eliminate him. With so many kills, Chizhu’s pockets must be overflowing. Outside the battlefield, there would be few opportunities to amass such substantial rewards and merit.

Whenever he encountered an enemy reincarnator, Fang Bo would never let them go—only sparing his own faction members.

After assessing the scene, he decided to open his latest loot box.

[You are opening loot box #10947.]

[You have received 1550 plot points.]

[You have received Kidney Tonic Strength Pills x6.]

[You have received Positive Pole Lock.]

*Kidney Tonic Strength Pills: Gives your kidney vitality a boost.*

“What on earth? What a joke.”

Stashing the items away, Fang Bo turned his attention to the real reward from this box.

**Name:** Positive Pole Lock

**Grade:** Epic

**Type:** Off-hand Weapon

**Durability:** 190/190

**Attribute Bonus:** Strength +2, Constitution +2

**Usage Requirements:** Strength 18, Constitution 16

**Effect:** Bind

**Origin:** *Saiyuki*

**Item Evaluation:** Don’t try binding a strongman; curiosity might just kill you.

**Bind (Active Skill):** Inflicts a binding effect on an enemy based on a strength attribute check, with a maximum duration of ten seconds.

Another epic-grade item. Ever since stepping into the battlefield, it seemed like these items were appearing everywhere.

On second thought, though, it made sense. Every reincarnator he encountered had been strong enough to survive countless challenges, honing their skills and gathering quality gear along the way. The fact that they’d made it this far meant they all had some means of survival—unfortunately, they had crossed paths with an even stronger reincarnator.

Taking the Positive Pole Lock in hand, Fang Bo converted it into a Noble Phantasm. From that moment, *Gate of Babylon* was no longer just an offensive skill. In the right circumstances, he could now use it to bind enemies—provided his strength was high enough, or else the binding time would be disappointingly short.

**Plot Points:** 18,284 (3,000 debt)

Glancing at his growing plot points, Fang Bo grinned and ascended to the cliff’s peak. There, Sasuke had just finished dispatching his enemies and was tending to an emotionally shattered Sakura.

As Fang Bo approached, Sasuke eyed him warily before finally asking, “Why are you here? Don’t tell me this was just a coincidence.”

“Of course not. I’m here for you.”

Ignoring Sasuke’s distrustful gaze, Fang Bo recounted the events of the previous day.

“I hear you and that man are brothers,” he began. “Would you consider joining forces with me to seek revenge?” It was a convenient excuse Fang Bo had concocted.

Claiming to be a fellow Uchiha who couldn’t tolerate Itachi’s tyranny, he had come to Sasuke in hopes of joining forces for vengeance. The explanation sounded plausible and, at least logically, held up.

But—

“Itachi!” Sasuke’s eyes widened, his face twisted with a mixture of burning hatred and a hint of barely concealed fear.
