RWWOKS Chapter 184

This entry is part 185 of 186 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

As the result of the match was announced, laughter erupted from the contestants’ seats on either side.

Initially, the crowd wondered how a seven-person roster would work in the next round.

But now, with both unlucky participants eliminated, everyone could focus solely on their upcoming fights.

“The final match will begin in 90 minutes.”

Konoha, ever considerate, knew most participants wouldn’t be in shape to fight immediately.

To maintain the spectacle for their guests, they had postponed the next round—though it was likely some hidden motives were at play as well.

Adjusting his Kazekage hat, Orochimaru slowly turned his gaze toward his former teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi, clad in the Hokage’s ceremonial robes.

“The real show is about to begin, Sensei.”

Meanwhile, Konoha’s Anbu operatives quietly began evacuating villagers.

Some resisted, only to be swiftly subdued and carried off unconscious.

A storm seemed ready to engulf the entire village.

In a hidden location within Konoha, a group of Suna operatives suddenly struck, swiftly subduing their targets.

Sealing specialists took their positions, forming hand seals in unison, prepared to summon massive summoning beasts at a moment’s notice.

This was a surgical strike meant to end quickly.

The ultimate goal: assassinate Hiruzen Sarutobi and destroy Konoha’s political structure.

Stretching lazily, Fang Bo walked alone into the contestants’ tunnel.

For the other reincarnators, the next fight would mean their last before returning to their respective spaces.

But Fang Bo’s chain of hidden missions allowed him to remain in the story world longer.

“The real battle is just beginning.”

Time ticked away, and the 90-minute break soon ended.

When Fang Bo strolled back onto the field, he saw that everyone else had already returned.

With all participants present, Genma Shiranui stepped into the center of the arena to announce the final round of the Chūnin Exam.

The large screen spun through the names before selecting the first fighter:

Otogakure, Fang Bo.

“Excellent.” Fang Bo vaulted over the railing, walking calmly to the center of the arena.

Finishing his fight first meant he could leave early—he still had a hidden mission involving Kakuzu waiting for him.

[Hidden Mission: Scroll of Seals]

Objective: To enlist the cunning Kakuzu’s help, you must provide something of sufficient value. The Scroll of Seals is an ideal offering.

Requirement: Locate the Scroll of Seals’ precise location.

Hint: This secret is known only within the Hokage Tower.

If he could find the Scroll of Seals and complete the mission, not only would he earn attribute point rewards, but he might also snag a forbidden technique for free.

The main challenge of this mission lay in locating the scroll.

The combat portion could be left to Kakuzu. Facing groups of elite Jōnin-level Anbu wasn’t something Fang Bo could handle alone.

For most others, the task would require sneaking into Konoha’s most secure areas, capturing informants, verifying intel, and following clues to the destination.

Even minor mistakes could trigger a series of battles, making this a daunting undertaking.

Although Kakuzu’s involvement would ease the burden, Fang Bo had a better plan.

Suddenly, a gasp from the stands drew his attention.

Looking up, he spotted a familiar figure holding an oversized hammer with a tearful expression.

“B-Big Brother…” Yaoyao whimpered, close to tears.

Against anyone else, she might stand a chance. But when facing Fang Bo, her options were limited.

She couldn’t resort to underhanded tactics—her collaboration with him was at stake. Winning the fight at the cost of their partnership wasn’t worth it.

Compared to an unknown title reward, her sister’s mission seemed far more important.

Still, Yaoyao wasn’t ready to surrender outright. At the very least, she wanted to put up a symbolic fight.

Surely her brother wouldn’t go all out against her, right?

But seeing Fang Bo’s cold expression, her confidence wavered.

“You’re not really going to kill me… are you, Big Brother?”

His response came swiftly as Yoriichi Zero Type slashed toward her with its fiery twin blades.

Sun Breathing, Second Form: Clear Blue Sky!

Unable to dodge in time, Yaoyao gritted her teeth and retaliated with an offensive counter.

Her war hammer successfully sent the puppet flying, but not before two deep gashes appeared on her body.

The searing pain snapped her back to reality.

The person before her was no longer her protective brother but a reincarnator intent on killing her.

“Big Brother really wants to kill me…”

Biting her lip to hold back tears, Yaoyao activated her hidden ability.

A dark brown horn materialized on her forehead, while black lightning crackled around her.

What followed was a shocking transformation.

Encircled by lightning, her petite 4’11” frame suddenly grew, towering at 5’7” in moments, transforming her into a statuesque, mature woman.

Her once-loose clothing stretched taut, highlighting her now voluptuous figure.

Before the stunned crowd, the little girl had become a curvaceous, alluring battle goddess.

Oni Transformation: War God Mode, Stage One!

“BIG BROTHER!”

With a furious roar, her hammer, shrouded in black lightning, descended toward Fang Bo like a meteor.

But Fang Bo’s agility was now on par with speed-based specialists.

No matter how powerful the strike, it was useless if it couldn’t connect.

Dodging effortlessly, Fang Bo stepped back and summoned the Yang Pole Chain, binding the now curvaceous battle goddess in place.

Her transformation was impressive, highlighting the stark contrast in strength and aura before and after.

Of course, Fang Bo referred to her combat ability, not her enhanced figure.

It was clear she had used an attribute-boosting skill, similar to his own Heavenly Curse Seal.

The massive crater left by her hammer revealed the terrifying power behind her attack.

Yet despite her newfound strength, the gap between them remained insurmountable.

A flurry of golden beams surrounded her—the dazzling effect of Noble Phantasms in flight.

There was no denying the elegance of Gilgamesh’s attacks.

After one wave, Yaoyao’s health bar dropped by a third.

She reached for tools from her dimensional bag, but the relentless puppet kept pressing her, with Fang Bo watching intently from the sidelines.

Before long, the Yang Pole Chain immobilized her once more—a reminder of the disadvantages of low agility.

Unable to land hits, evade skills, or withstand damage, Yaoyao relied entirely on her dimensional bag to stay in the game. Without it, she wouldn’t have made it this far.

“Having money is nice,” Fang Bo remarked.

As Yoriichi Zero Type’s blade neared her face, Yaoyao instinctively shut her eyes.

Convinced her brother intended to kill her and loot her gear, she whimpered, “Sis… I’m gonna die…”

But as moments passed with no attack, she cautiously opened her eyes.

The blade hovered mere inches from her, unmoving.

Looking around nervously, she noticed Fang Bo’s cold gaze locked on her.

“Still not surrendering?” he asked flatly.

“A-ah, I-I surrender!” Yaoyao stammered.

Three seconds later, the space’s protection mechanism successfully activated, and Genma Shiranui announced the Otogakure contestant “Hongshu” as having passed the Chūnin Exam.

Fang Bo patted Yaoyao’s head as he turned and walked toward the stands. “Remember, you’re struggling to survive in a world where it’s eat or be eaten.”

Yaoyao stood stunned for a few seconds before realization dawned on her. Her brother had been scaring her all along.

“Hmph, always bullying me.” She shivered slightly before reverting to her small, cheerful form and skipping after him.

“Big Brother’s so scary when he gets serious,” Yaoyao muttered with a sneeze, still shaken by the earlier fight.

Judging by her carefree demeanor, she clearly hadn’t taken the lesson to heart. Fang Bo decided not to bother correcting her further.

[Achievement: Chūnin Exam (Completed)]
[You have earned the title “Chūnin.”]

Chūnin: Strength +1, Agility +1, Reputation accumulation speed increased by 20%.

“Hmm,” Fang Bo mused. It was his first title with attribute bonuses.

Inspecting it briefly, he equipped it, replacing his previous “Spider Pillar” title.

But the space system had more updates for him.

The conclusion of the second round signaled the end of the space war.

No matter the outcomes of the remaining battles, the rankings were now locked.

This also meant that his two remaining war missions were completed simultaneously.

[War Mission 4: Rank in the Top 10 for Battlefield Points (Completed)]
[You earned 1,000 Plot Points.]
[You earned 10 War Points.]

[War Mission 5: Achieve 1st Place in Battlefield Points (Completed)]
[You earned 1,000 Plot Points.]

With an additional 2,000 Plot Points in hand, Fang Bo’s overall rewards were already astonishing, even without considering the upcoming Konoha Crush event.

“Once I complete Kakuzu’s mission, I’ll max out my Agility at 19 points,” Fang Bo noted.

“At that point, I’ll be a true quad-attribute ascender.”

Though his gains had been immense, they had come at great risk.

He’d brushed with death multiple times, surviving only through sheer grit.

By slaying countless powerful foes, he’d built up his current stockpile of resources.

“Congratulations,” Yoder offered, before inquiring about the effects of the Chūnin title.

Fang Bo shared the specific attribute bonuses without hesitation.

“The Strength and Agility boosts are solid,” Yoder remarked after some thought. “I’d recommend leveling it up a bit. Title experience doesn’t decay anyway.”

In other words, even if a better title came along in the future, “Chūnin” could still serve as fusion material.

Title fusion carried no experience penalties; accumulated experience would transfer at full value.

“Certain special effects are worth keeping,” Fang Bo added.

For example:

Spider Pillar: Damage against demon-type creatures +20%. Summons gain 10% of the summoner’s HP as a bonus.

A title like Spider Pillar was indispensable for fighting demons and significantly enhanced summoned entities.

Watching the fierce battle unfolding below, Fang Bo’s figure disappeared into the shadows of the passageway.
