RWWOKS Chapter 189

This entry is part 190 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

When Fang Bo groggily woke up, he found himself back in his tatami-floored room.

With a thought, the surrounding scenery transformed, becoming an exact replica of his accommodations in the Leaf Village.

There was no particular reason for this—just a small indulgence in mischief.

Ignoring the notification, Fang Bo stretched lazily and collapsed onto his soft sofa, drifting off to sleep.

By the time he woke, he felt completely rejuvenated.

That sleep had been profound and thorough, washing away all traces of fatigue.

Now, it was time to address his upgrades. But first, he had to meet with his creditors.

[I’m back. If you’re free, come over quickly.]

Sending a mass message, Fang Bo snapped his fingers. Instantly, a steaming plate of soy milk and fried dough sticks appeared before him.

He sighed in exasperation, eventually deciding to approve the request.

In no time, a familiar figure appeared before him.

“Big broooother~~~!” Yao Yao yelled, elongating her words as she leapt toward him without a care for the soy milk and dough sticks on the table.

Seeing the oil on his hands, Fang Bo hesitated to dirty the girl’s clothes. Instead, he raised a foot and decisively kicked Yao Yao onto the couch behind him.

“Don’t interrupt my meal.”

Sitting on the floor, Yao Yao’s eyes darted mischievously as she suddenly asked, “Big Brother, why couldn’t I reach you earlier?”

“Probably forgot to pay my phone bill.”

“…Big Brother, I may be young, but please don’t treat me like an idiot.”

Seeing he wasn’t willing to answer, the little girl puffed her cheeks in frustration, grabbing a dough stick from the table and devouring it furiously.

Taking advantage of the moment, Fang Bo decided to claim his rewards for the hidden quest.

There might even be items worth selling among them.

[Calculating results… Generating rewards…]

[Based on your contributions, choose three of the following rewards:]

2000 Story Points (Rare)

12 Merit Points (Rare)

Bloodline Serum (Uncommon)

5 Attribute Points (Uncommon)

Kusanagi Sword (Legendary)

A classic “pick three” scenario, with all the options looking tempting.

Given his current wealth, he decided to skip the Story Points and Merit Points for now.

Bloodline Serum: B-Rank. Grants the “Dead Bone Pulse” trait upon use.

“Another bloodline serum,” Fang Bo mused.

The last time he encountered one, it was for transforming into a colossal titan.

Though small in appearance, these serums had immediate effects and significantly boosted strength.

However, they weren’t without drawbacks. Bloodlines often came with weaknesses, sometimes affecting combat or even NPC perceptions.

For instance, turning into a vampire would make it difficult to gain the favor of holy figures.

Bloodlines also had unique interactions with certain skills.

“Dead Bone Pulse would be ideal for agile melee reincarnators.”

Considering the rarity of the serum, Fang Bo quickly chose it as his first reward.

Next, without hesitation, he selected 5 Attribute Points as his second reward.

He allocated three points to Agility, pushing himself to the extreme limit across four attributes.

The remaining two points went to Strength.

Current Stats:

Health: 340/340 (+150)

Status: Healthy

Strength: 15 (+7)

Constitution: 25 (+6)

Agility: 23 (+4)

Spirit: 36 (+17)

Perception: 25 (+6)

With his base Strength at 8, reaching the extreme value required 11 more points.

For most reincarnators, achieving this would take three or four storyline worlds. For Fang Bo, it could likely happen in the next one.

Once there, he could achieve full attribute perfection. However, before that, he needed to stockpile more attribute points.

Specifically, he aimed to raise his Spirit to the extreme level for a second-tier world—49 points—which required accumulating 30 more attribute points.

“As long as I stockpile points before triggering the golden mainline quest, I should meet my baseline goals.”

Finally, it was time to claim the centerpiece of this mission’s rewards: Orochimaru’s Kusanagi Sword.

Name: Kusanagi Sword
Grade: Mythical
Type: One-handed Weapon
Attack: 26–32
Durability: 350/350
Attribute Boosts: Strength +6, Agility +2
Requirements: Strength 35, Spirit 15
Effects:

Mythical Weapon (Passive): +20 final damage, +30% critical hit rate.

Unbreakable (Passive): Significantly increases durability damage to low-grade armors and weapons.

Telekinetic Control (Active): Spend 1 Spirit Point to control the sword’s flight and extension freely.

Origin: Naruto

Description: An indestructible blade capable of slaying enemies from a thousand miles away.

Another mythical weapon, and this one was purely offensive.

If upgraded to Noble Phantasm, its theoretical damage would be:

15 (base strength) + 32 (weapon max) + 20 (mythical bonus) = 67 points.

With a 30% crit chance, the Kusanagi Sword could easily deal 134 critical damage—more than the combined damage of his other Noble Phantasms.

If Fang Bo’s Strength increased further or he gained bonus effects from skill upgrades, the sword’s base damage could exceed 100 points.

This meant that every five seconds, Fang Bo could spend 1 Spirit Point to deal over 100 damage.

On a critical hit, the damage would soar to around 200.

What did this mean?

If the reincarnator Chizhu were to resurrect, Fang Bo could take him out in just three strikes.

After confirming, Fang Bo welcomed a familiar face—an Onmyōji he hadn’t seen in a while.

“Yo!” Ryuno waved casually, plopping down on the sofa like she owned the place.

Fang Bo smiled, nodding as he asked curiously, “Your aunt didn’t come with you?”

“She’s busy right now,” Ryuno replied, lowering her voice in complaint.

Due to her nature, Ubume couldn’t bear to see children suffer.

Upon discovering news about abandoned children in the real world, she became the headmistress of an orphanage—an ordinary one, not affiliated with Fang Bo’s rivals.

During every break between missions, Ubume would return to the real world to fulfill her responsibilities as headmistress.

She often said that being with the children brought her the greatest joy.

Though mundane, Fang Bo and Yao Yao found themselves deeply engrossed in the story.

That gentle warmth seemed to soothe the blood-soaked atmosphere surrounding them.

When Ryuno finished her tale, Fang Bo smiled and transferred the Story Points he owed her.

“Thank you.”

“No problem.” Ryuno waved dismissively before glancing at the young girl beside him. “Aren’t you going to introduce me?”

As soon as the words left her mouth, Yao Yao, ever the outgoing one, took the initiative to introduce herself.

Within just a few sentences, the two girls were already chatting like old friends. Yao Yao enthusiastically recounted her and Fang Bo’s exploits in the Naruto world.

Though Yao Yao spoke casually, Ryuno was silently astounded.

The person Yao Yao described—was it really the same Jason she had once ventured into the One Piece world with?

Hearing about Jorogumo’s involvement reassured her that Yao Yao was indeed talking about him. Without that detail, Ryuno might have thought she was referring to someone else entirely.

She had countless questions she wanted to ask but didn’t know how to start.

With Ubume’s help, Ryuno’s last two storyline worlds had gone smoothly. She had even been eager to show off her progress to Jason.

Now, in comparison, her accomplishments seemed trivial.

“Well, it makes sense. This guy knows how to dig deep into storylines. Reaching this level isn’t just luck.”

If she ever got the chance, Ryuno was eager to embark on another grand adventure with Jason.

Patting Yao Yao’s head, she turned to Fang Bo. “So, what’s the real reason you called me here? It can’t just be to settle your debt.”

“Hold on, someone else hasn’t arrived yet.”

“Someone else?”

[ID 12443 requests access to your private space.]

Hearing movement at the door, Ryuno instinctively turned her head. A familiar figure entered.

“What?! It’s you?!”

An enthusiastic Ari was about to greet everyone but froze when he recognized an old acquaintance from the previous world.

After a brief round of explanations, Fang Bo finally understood: both of them had been in the Inuyasha world together.

Ryuno had been helping Ubume complete her evolution, while Ari, the jujutsu sorcerer, had a much simpler goal—to punish evil yokai.

Although Ari’s approach seemed somewhat… unconventional, Fang Bo respected his companion’s choices.

“Ah!” Ryuno suddenly realized something. Pointing at both of them, she exclaimed, “He’s the expert you were talking about?”

“Yep,” Ari replied cheerfully, his bright smile as radiant as ever.

He seemed perfectly at ease, as if everything was fine.

“I see…” Ryuno scratched her head, her eyes darting about as if she were hatching some kind of plan.

From Fang Bo’s understanding of her, she was likely plotting something involving these two.

Probably to recruit Yao Yao and Ari into her constantly rebranding All-Girls Power Group.

Ryuno prided herself on adaptability. As long as someone was willing to join, she was open to negotiations about terms and benefits.

And then there was her supposedly “mature and commanding” teammate with… certain assets, always ready to personally welcome new recruits.

Unfortunately, Fang Bo had never had the chance to meet this elusive teammate.

Watching Yao Yao cheerfully playing around with the others, an idea began to form in Fang Bo’s mind.

Should he entrust Yao Yao to Ryuno?

At least it would be better than letting her wander aimlessly on her own.

After briefly explaining his thoughts, he was immediately met with Ryuno’s enthusiastic approval.

Regardless of Yao Yao’s exact power level, the fact that she dared participate in space wars meant she was an accomplished fighter.

If Ryuno could bring her into the team, it would significantly enhance their group’s overall strength.

Seeing Ryuno agree so quickly, Fang Bo grew a bit suspicious. “If I remember correctly, doesn’t your team already have a strength-oriented reincarnator?”

“Uh, yeah, that’s the one I mentioned before…” Ryuno paused, swallowing the words “big-chested teammate” before they could escape.

After a moment, she seemed to realize something. Giving Fang Bo a curious look, she smiled and explained, “Surely you don’t think team members always enter the same storyline world, do you?”

“…”

“Of course not. Depending on the storyline, team members usually select the most suitable companions.”

“I see…” Fang Bo nodded, feeling like he had learned something new.

He had assumed small teams always stuck together, diving into the same storyline no matter the setting.

Since it seemed suitable, there was no harm in letting Yao Yao join them. The two were already getting along well now.

Besides, Yao Yao’s lively personality was undeniably endearing.

Once again, the door opened. This time, the room’s temperature noticeably dropped several degrees.

With a grim expression, the ninja Dairon slowly stepped inside.
