RWWOKS Chapter 215

This entry is part 216 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

By the time Fang Bo crawled up from the ground, his body covered in blood, the man who had been so arrogant and full of swagger earlier was already nothing more than a lifeless corpse.

No matter how skilled he was, he couldn’t withstand the enemy’s relentless, continuous assault, nor could he survive the ruthless blood-swapping tactics.

What did being a Difficulty Two reincarnator matter now?

In the end, he was nothing but a cold corpse, likely to be devoured by the ghost spiders for dinner.

“With such strength, I’m sure you could breed a Tier-3 Ghost Spider.”

After collecting the enemy’s dropped Slaughter Chest, Fang Bo activated Giant Summon, using the three brothers to restore the health he had lost in battle.

In less than a minute, his health had returned to its peak.

This victory had been hard-earned. His opponent had displayed the excellent techniques of a Difficulty Two reincarnator, along with a wide array of base skills that had been leveled up to a high degree.

Though the punches and kicks seemed ordinary, they packed a terrifying force. If not for Fang Bo’s numerous tactics, it would have been far more difficult to win this battle.

He walked over to the spot where the puppet had fallen, and with a slight sigh, Fang Bo gazed at the Yoriichi Type 0 in his hand.

Whether he admitted it or not, the puppet simply couldn’t keep up with his pace anymore.

After a few rounds of combat, the damage it caused might not even compare to that of the Shadow Moon Fang, and its greatest use now was only as a damage sponge.

“No special effects to boost it… A melee puppet can’t possibly outperform a real fighter.”

After stowing the Yoriichi Type 0 into his imprint, Fang Bo decided to replace it once he found suitable equipment.

Of course, he wasn’t going to sell it off. He planned to transform it into his first puppet artifact.

With the “Training Puppet” skill for automatic combat, when summoned, the puppet could fight autonomously.

This way, Fang Bo could fully utilize the puppet’s abilities while freeing up an essential slot in his equipment.

Once he mastered the technique of human puppetry, he could employ similar methods to fill other artifact slots, creating his own “Hundred Machines Performance.”

In the distance, the battle between the main storyline characters continued.

As he had anticipated, what had started as a simple fight had gradually turned into a three-way battle.

Fang Bo watched from a distance and sat down alone, appearing to rest. In reality, he was secretly opening a reincarnator’s treasure chest.

“With such arrogance, a Difficulty Two reincarnator must have some good items on them.”

[You are opening Slaughter Chest No. 8562.]

[You have obtained 6425 Plot Points.]

[You have obtained the Blessing of the Gods.]

[You have obtained the Gifted Holy Cross.]

Seeing the items that dropped, Fang Bo froze for a moment, and an overwhelming sense of guilt surged within him.

“Sorry, master. My tone earlier was a bit harsh. You truly are a formidable powerhouse in the Difficulty Two world.”

He bowed to the man’s corpse, his face filled with solemn reverence, looking like a long-serving priest in a temple.

There was no way around it. He had never encountered such a generous person. If he had a next life, he’d make sure to become friends with this guy.

“Uh… what was his name again?”

“Never mind. I’ll never forget you.”

Plot Points: 7639

Looking at the soaring Plot Points, Fang Bo’s eyes glistened with emotion. Of course, the real treasures were the next two items.

Name: Blessing of the Gods
Grade: Mythical
Category: Armor
Durability: 350/350
Attribute Bonuses: +4 Constitution, +4 Spirit
Usage Requirements: Spirit 30, Max Prayers
Effect: Divine Blessing

Origin: Dungeon & Fighter
Equipment Evaluation: Divine Blessing like the sea, divine power like a prison!
Divine Blessing (Active Skill): Increases a specified attribute by 20% for 10 minutes. Cooldown: 8 hours.

A Mythical-grade armor item, its effect can greatly boost a single attribute for a short period.

For example, if a reincarnator’s base attribute in one stat had reached the Difficulty Two cap, their bare stat would be 49, and with this equipment, it could increase to 60+.

With titles, bloodlines, and potions, stacking a primary attribute to 70 points is relatively easy.

When activated, the “Divine Blessing” effect would give an additional 14 points to a stat, which is incredibly powerful. What’s more, this item could also provide buffs to others.

For someone like Fang Bo, the strategic value of this item was immeasurable. He could use “Divine Blessing” to drastically improve the power of plot characters.

For instance, in the current battle, if “Divine Blessing” were applied to K’, it would immediately crush K9999 in terms of attributes.

It would be difficult to kill K9999, but easily defeating him would be simple.

Whether used on himself or others, this was a very potent Mythical-tier item.

Unfortunately, Fang Bo couldn’t equip it yet.

The usage condition required “Max Prayers,” an advanced skill in basic prayers, and leveling both skills to their max would take quite a bit of effort. Moreover, he had no idea where to obtain this skill.

“Better keep this for now. This kind of treasure definitely can’t be sold.”

Then, Fang Bo looked at the final item.

Gifted Holy Cross: Special item, can block one fatal attack, forcing the user to retain 5 HP.

This item didn’t require equipping; it automatically activated when placed in the imprint. Its function was to save the reincarnator from a deadly blow, ensuring survival with 5 HP left.

“Nice.” Fang Bo was satisfied as he placed the cross into his imprint.

This item was either useless until it was needed, or it would save his life when the time came. Its value was hard to measure.

From this, Fang Bo could tell just how rich the reincarnator’s chest was. If there were more people like this, it would be easy to level up his skills.

“Surely the orphanage didn’t send him alone?”

As if struck by a thought, Fang Bo approached the enemy’s corpse and began to search through it, but unfortunately didn’t find any communication devices or anything useful.

Boom!

The distinctive roar of a helicopter filled the air as the second wave of reinforcements from the NESTS arrived.

Seeing this, Maxima immediately released his super ultimate move, using heavy artillery to temporarily push back the two enemies in front of him.

“K’, let’s go. We’ll be too late if we don’t move now.”

Hearing his companion’s advice, the main plot character K’ could only helplessly stop his movements.

With just a little more time, he could have defeated his opponents. Unfortunately, the reinforcements from NESTS were arriving too quickly.

“Let’s go.” K’ turned and left without hesitation, casting a final glance at the surroundings.

He quickly noticed that the one who had caused the commotion earlier had already disappeared.

“Pretty fast,” he thought.

Meanwhile, K9999 and Kula stopped their movements simultaneously.

They didn’t continue fighting, nor did they make any effort to stop K’ and Maxima from escaping.

It seemed they weren’t particularly invested in the mission.

Kula was just a child at heart, and as for K9999’s true thoughts, no one could say for sure.

After the escape of the targets, a large group of soldiers rushed to the scene.

Among them was a man who looked strikingly similar to Kyo Kusanagi.

This was none other than the newly modified Kyo Kusanagi No. 2, possessing terrifying strength that surpassed that of No. 1.

However, he wasn’t the leader of the group; the actual superior was someone else.

The man entered the abandoned factory, silently scanning the area before his gaze fixed on a distant spot.

Looking at the ravaged ground, the senior officer from NESTS coldly asked, “Who fought here?”

“Hmph.” K9999 didn’t even acknowledge him and turned to leave the scene, his cape billowing.

Naturally, Kula didn’t care either. She casually responded, then walked over to the abandoned sports car, climbed in, and began tinkering with it.

In no time, she managed to start the engine and crashed into a pillar not far away.

“….” The man fell silent, withdrawing his gaze to look at the pool of blood on the ground.

After a long pause, he led his team out of the scene.

“Old Jiang, didn’t expect you’d die here. Looks like you met quite a formidable opponent.”

Climbing into the armed helicopter, the man removed his mask, revealing a familiar face underneath.

It was Jason, a senior officer of the Orphanage, tasked with overseeing the training and upbringing of the orphans.

After receiving word from the Chosen One, Jason knew someone had plans to sabotage their operation, so he led a team into the King of Fighters world.

His position of power within NESTS proved just how much effort he had put into the organization.

Without his involvement, NESTS would never have been able to acquire the fragmented soul of Orochi.

Using the technology from their plot forces, they created the perfect Divine Body, allowing the Chosen One to use the Undying Seal to steal the divine power from Orochi.

This was the Orphanage’s “Deification” plan.

If this mission succeeded, they would be able to dominate the Difficulty One and Two worlds, paving the way for a full-scale invasion of Difficulty Three.

The Deification plan must not fail, which is why Jason had come back to the Difficulty One world at such great cost.

Space restrictions were harsh, and once a Difficulty One reincarnator entered, they could no longer enter the same world.

That was why Olson had to open the plot world ahead of time, to prevent any powerful people from entering prematurely.

Had it not been for the suppression of attributes in space, even if they worked themselves to exhaustion, they would never have been able to match those Difficulty Two experts head-to-head.

Yet, Jason hadn’t expected that their plans had already been uncovered by the enemy.

To draw them into a trap, they had feigned ignorance about the plans of the ruthless squad, leading to Olson being captured without a hitch.

Jason was well aware of the news of the traitor’s capture. However, he was more concerned with where the Number Seven reincarnator had gone.

In just a few worlds, that little test subject’s power had grown to a terrifying degree, and its potential was undeniable.

If left unchecked, it could spell trouble. He needed to control the situation before taking action.

“I look forward to our first real meeting, Number Seven.”

The armed helicopter roared into the night sky, vanishing into the darkness.

—-

Kyoto, by a remote river.

Under the pale moonlight, a solitary figure sat silently, deep in thought.

This was none other than Iori Yagami, who had just been through a fierce battle.

To restore his strength, he had visited many places and met many people, but none could completely heal the injuries within him.

Earlier, he had unexpectedly crossed paths with K9999, and their conversation quickly escalated into a fight. In the end, he was shot into the river by his enemy.

This was already Iori Yagami’s second defeat in a short period. A proud man like him could hardly accept this.

After an unknown amount of time, he slowly rose to his feet, his gaze drifting toward the approaching figure in the distance.

“What brings you here?”
