- The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline
- RWWOKS Chapter 26
**Chapter 26: The Ax Emperor’s Advance**
On the deck of the Bezan Black.
“Hey, kid.” A large, fat man approached. He was Butchi, the ship’s fighter, a guy with incredible strength.
Besides him, the Black Cat also had another fighter, Sam, who was astonishingly fast. No reincarnator had ever passed his test.
These two might look harmless, but they were actually full of tricks, always scheming to take down Captain Kuro and replace him.
“Morning.” Fang Bo greeted casually, his expression giving nothing away.
Over the past few days, he had gotten somewhat familiar with the crew, but unfortunately, Kuro had locked himself in his room the entire time, leaving no opportunity to approach him.
The large man leaned against the ship’s railing, gazing into the distance, muttering unclearly, “The world thinks we’re dead. We need a big fight, real soon. We better be ready.”
Though the words were a bit vague, Fang Bo understood the general idea.
The shame of the pirate crew’s defeat could only be washed away by a series of victories, showing the entire East Blue that the Black Cat Pirates had not failed.
This meant a series of fierce battles were inevitable. Any hope of simply waiting for the mission to end peacefully was slim.
Fortunately, reincarnators never feared combat. Without the clash of guns and fire, how could they surpass others and gain fortune?
Fighting wasn’t the issue. Fang Bo’s real concern was Captain Kuro. If his guess was correct, Kuro had likely fallen into a depression after being defeated by Kraig.
It wouldn’t be long before the “Kuro’s Retirement” event would trigger, offering a significant reward.
However, Fang Bo’s ambition didn’t stop there. What he truly wanted was to help the captain defy his fate, avoiding the path where Kuro would be defeated by Luffy.
If he could help the Black Cat Pirates defeat Kraig Pirate, the rewards would be endless. As for how to achieve that, it would depend on the upcoming mission events.
At the moment, most reincarnators had joined various factions, grinding for reputation and contribution points. Fang Bo, however, was different—he had been trying to learn hypnosis.
Not through a scroll or any particular skill, but by using his official crew status to constantly seek advice from key characters.
Jango, who had nothing better to do, didn’t mind teaching him a trick or two. Thanks to his excellent mental attributes, Fang Bo had made some decent progress.
At the very least, when he focused, he could now use a swinging pocket watch to influence ordinary pirates.
If he kept going, Fang Bo estimated he’d master real hypnosis soon. Of course, reaching Jango’s level would take much longer.
After watching the large man, Butchi, leave, Fang Bo turned his head casually, catching a glimpse of a fleeting figure disappearing around the corner.
With a strange smile, he knew someone was no longer able to suppress their restless heart.
Fang Bo gently stroked the Black Star at his waist, considering his next move. He decided to continue practicing hypnosis when he noticed a man with slicked-back hair, standing on the balcony of the captain’s quarters, looking down at him.
Thick glasses couldn’t hide the icy gaze, as if nothing in this world was worth the man’s attention.
This was Captain Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates, with a bounty of 16 million Berries.
“Finally showing yourself.” Fang Bo bowed slightly before moving to the other side of the deck.
He knew that the peaceful days were coming to an end, and the Black Cat Pirates were about to embark on a bloody voyage.
“Set sail.” Kuro gave a simple order, then leapt down from the second-floor balcony.
Even with Fang Bo’s sharp perception, he couldn’t hear Kuro’s landing. It was as if someone had erased the sound of the captain’s footsteps from the world.
Kuro glanced coldly at Fang Bo and left him with a single sentence, “I look forward to your performance,” before heading toward the ship’s bow.
Seeing this, Fang Bo returned to his cabin, preparing for the upcoming battle.
………
Meanwhile, in Shells Town, at the 153rd Marine Branch…
“I said no!” Lieutenant Commander Ripa gripped his pen tightly, wishing he could stab the idiot in front of him.
Not long ago, his trusted officer, Captain Monka, had died in a remote place, dashing Ripa’s hopes of advancing to base commander.
Without someone capable under his command, he would gradually lose the chance to compete for the position, unless he could wash away the shame by personally sending the Black Cat Pirates to the bottom of the sea.
Yes, the person who killed Captain Monka had joined the Black Cat Pirates, and many of Ripa’s colleagues were now waiting to laugh at him.
The problem was that the pirate forces were too strong. The 153rd Branch alone couldn’t take them on.
Just as Ripa was brooding, his subordinate asked for permission to lead a team to hunt down the Black Cat Pirates.
Was he crazy?
If Ripa had the strength to do that, he wouldn’t have been the laughingstock of his peers—he’d have long since rounded up the pirates and hung them in the town square.
“Get out! And remember your duties!” Ripa roared in anger.
Dejected, Morgan left the office. He couldn’t understand why his superior was so cowardly.
Why couldn’t the righteous Marines eliminate the evil pirates?
“This world shouldn’t be like this,” Morgan thought, his resolve hardening.
Morgan, known as the “Ax Emperor,” had once been an idealistic young man. Unfortunately, after being hypnotized by Jango during a mission against the Black Cat Pirates, his personality had drastically changed. He now believed that power was the greatest force in the world.
As a result, he had gradually adopted a tyrannical mindset, his confidence shattered.
At this point, Morgan still held the Marines in high regard. Since Ripa refused to act, Morgan decided to take matters into his own hands.
Just as Morgan was about to organize a team, a pink-haired girl suddenly approached, smiling slightly. Her charm even made Morgan feel a bit nervous.
“Captain, where are you headed?”
For some reason, Morgan confessed all of his plans to her.
Hearing that he intended to attack the Black Cat Pirates, the girl’s expression immediately grew solemn. “Pirates should indeed be eradicated. I’m willing to petition Lieutenant Commander Ripa on your behalf.”
Morgan hesitated. Truthfully, he wasn’t confident in his plan. If the powerful Lieutenant Commander Ripa joined them, success was almost guaranteed.
Though he didn’t know what the girl relied on, trying was better than doing nothing.
At that moment, Morgan noticed the girl’s companions.
A cold man carrying a large sniper rifle.
A muscular man holding a tower shield.
A cheerful boy with a bun in his hand, smiling brightly.
And the one who posed the greatest threat, a handsome young man with a mechanical glove on his right hand.
“Don’t worry. She’ll succeed.” Olson, the man with the glove, spoke calmly, not seeming to take Morgan seriously at all.
With the right item in hand, Lieutenant Commander Ripa would undoubtedly agree to send troops. Then, they could use the Marine forces to eliminate the Black Cat Pirates.
Their goal would be half-complete, leaving only the task of uncovering hidden missions.
“The Silent Step technique… once I have it, my speed will reach new heights.” Olson’s eyes burned with excitement.
……..
On the scorching sea, the sound of cannon fire echoed across the sky.
The white sails billowed in the sea breeze like an eagle about to take flight. Fang Bo stood at the bow, his eyes fixed on the distant pirate ship.
Behind him, the pirates were busy, checking the sails and rigging to ensure the ship was in perfect condition.
The cannons on either side of the ship were open, the dark barrels aimed at the enemy ship, unleashing volley after volley of black cannonballs.
These were solid iron balls, hollowed out and filled with gunpowder. With the right impact, they would explode, so they were carefully wrapped in thick cotton to prevent premature detonation.
“The accuracy is too low.” After observing for a while, Fang Bo realized the cannon fire was inefficient.
Seventeen minutes into the battle, only one cannonball had hit the enemy. The rest had been wasted.
At the moment, the two ships were rapidly crossing paths, exchanging cannon fire as thick smoke rose over the sea.
It was the perfect distance for cannon bombardment, without the risk of boarding. Clearly, the enemy knew of the Black Cat Pirates’ reputation and had no desire to face Kuro’s cunning tricks.
“This isn’t working.” Old Cat frowned, deep in thought, before his gaze fell on the grappling equipment.
“Jason, it’s your turn to shine.”
After explaining his plan—having Fang Bo use the hooks to approach the enemy ship—one of the reincarnators immediately objected.
“No way, it’s too dangerous. Jason might not come back.”
The man, nicknamed “Piglet,” was a reincarnator who had boarded the ship after purchasing an item from Fang Bo.
Having been helped by him, Piglet was extremely enthusiastic. Through him, Fang Bo had learned many important pieces of information.
For instance, once a certain rank was achieved, reincarnators could unlock the ability to synthesize powerful equipment, skills, and even titles obtained in the storyline.
Initially, Fang Bo had dismissed the importance of titles, but now he realized how short-sighted that was.
While his two companions argued, Fang Bo remained calm. The choice to act or not was his alone. Others could only offer suggestions.
Staring at the distant ship, Fang Bo spoke
softly, “If we want to win, we must board the enemy ship. Tell the others to be ready to act at any moment.”
With that, he picked up the bag on the ground, filled with solid cannonballs.
