RWWOKS Chapter 97

This entry is part 98 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

Chapter 97: Another Epic Weapon Appears

The sibling duo, who had split up earlier, finally reunited in their final moments.

“You idiot brother!”

“You’re the idiot!”

The two began to argue, expressing their shared fear of death.

From a distance, Fang Bo watched them silently. He wasn’t like Tanjiro, filled with kindness that would make him step in and stop them.

Compared to the dying Upper Moon demons, Jorogumo’s feast was much more appealing.

The giant spider’s mouth twitched and wriggled, slowly devouring the siblings’ corpses. By the time she had finished her meal, the two severed heads had already turned to dust.

[Current Devour Progress: 72.25%]

“One more Upper Moon, and Jorogumo’s fate mission will be complete,” Fang Bo thought with some anticipation.

Even if he couldn’t recruit her as a follower immediately, Jorogumo’s stats and skills would receive a significant boost, which would undoubtedly help in the upcoming final battle.

With Uzui Tengen successfully activating his Demon Slayer Mark, the Demon Slayer Corps’ power had increased significantly. The balance of power between the two sides was gradually tipping.

But for now, Fang Bo had to remove the poison from Uzui Tengen’s body. Otherwise, the proud Sound Hashira would die from the poison.

His three wives would end up as widows, wouldn’t they?

Looking at the dying Uzui Tengen, Fang Bo slowly placed his hand on him.

*Healing!*

The excruciating pain from the poison corroding his body, coupled with the intense agony of having his arm severed, was reflected in Fang Bo’s own body.

As his own health slowly drained, Uzui Tengen’s condition visibly improved. Not only was the poison being neutralized, but even his severed arm was regenerating rapidly.

This was the immense power of the *Healing* technique—it didn’t just restore health, it brought the recipient back to the state they were in before the injury.

In other words, even if Uzui Tengen had been castrated, Fang Bo could have fixed it.

*Cough, cough.* Exhausted, Fang Bo stood up, smiling bitterly as he walked toward the treasure chest.

Every time he used *Healing*, the gut-wrenching pain made him want to break down. It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all.

The only silver lining was that Fang Bo’s pain tolerance had improved significantly, meaning he wouldn’t freeze up when hit in battle anymore.

During Gyutaro’s ambush, Fang Bo had narrowly escaped death. Thanks to his tolerance for pain, he managed to react in time and escape the dire situation.

“Sometimes, pain isn’t necessarily a bad thing.”

[You are opening a Story Chest (Gold)]

[You have received 500 Story Points]

[You have received Blood Scythe Dual Weapons]

[You have received a Blood Demon Art Scroll]

[You have received a Sharp Ribbon]

Although only one chest dropped from the siblings, the quality of its contents didn’t disappoint Fang Bo.

*Blood Demon Art: Flying Blood Scythes*: D-rank skill, costs 2 spirit points to release a blood blade that tracks enemies.

Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art, capable of mid-range physical attacks, could likely fetch a good price in the Reincarnation Space.

The *Sharp Ribbon* was a signature material from the Upper Moons, perfect for crafting Memory Armor components. Fang Bo had accumulated quite a bit of these materials and could now begin the process of crafting armor when he returned.

Even if he couldn’t use it himself, he could hold onto the items or sell them to other reincarnators in exchange for valuable skills or summons.

In terms of skills, Fang Bo still sought a B-rank ability.

As the highest-ranked skill in a first-difficulty world, B-rank abilities were undoubtedly powerful.

Jorogumo’s support skills were already excellent, and Ubume’s attacks were quite strong too. But both were still C-rank shikigami, far from the B-rank threshold.

If he could obtain a satisfactory B-rank ability, his strength would skyrocket, and he could potentially dominate the first-difficulty world.

With that in mind, he turned his attention to the most valuable item in the chest.

[Name: Blood Scythe Dual Weapons]

[Rarity: Epic]

[Type: Dual Weapons]

[Attack Power: 10-12]

[Durability: 80/80]

[Attribute Enhancement: Agility +2, Strength +1]

[Usage Requirement: Agility 14, Basic Dual-Wield Lv5]

[Weapon Effect: Poison Blade]

[Origin: *Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba* ]

[Weapon Evaluation: Whatever you do, don’t lick it—it’s poisonous.]

[*Poison Blade* (Passive Skill): Grants a deadly poison effect, the result of which depends on the type of poison applied.]

This was Gyutaro’s weapon, a deadly scythe that had almost killed Fang Bo.

Who would’ve thought it would end up in his hands?

The attack power was incredibly high, capable of dealing massive critical damage. The *Poison Blade* skill allowed him to enchant the weapon with any poison he desired.

Luckily, Jorogumo’s venom could be applied to the weapon. If he could suppress a demon’s regeneration abilities, their threat level would be cut in half.

This meant that even without shikigami support, Fang Bo could inflict devastating, crippling strikes on the Upper Moon demons.

The dual scythes would, of course, be equipped by his puppet. Since they were dual-wield weapons, they occupied two mechanism slots.

In terms of basic slashing attacks, this equated to the damage of four epic weapons stacked together.

Considering the critical hit bonus and increased critical rate, the theoretical damage could surpass 200 points.

Even a boss-level demon from the Upper Moon could lose half their health in one full-strength strike from the puppet.

Of course, it wouldn’t be that simple in practice. In previous battles, there were rarely opportunities to deal full damage.

After all, wielding six blades made it difficult to land every strike on the enemy.

“If only Yorichi Zero could be upgraded further.”

Seeing Uzui Tengen rise to his feet, Fang Bo knew that the Yoshiwara Arc had officially come to an end.

His power had grown exponentially, and the Demon Slayer Corps was still intact. It seemed that Muzan’s downfall was inevitable.

However, the protagonist’s team hadn’t been involved in any of the battles so far, meaning they had missed out on crucial experience and growth.

Without the power boost from the main cast, the story might take an unexpected turn.

But at this point, they had no choice but to press on.

After parting ways with the Sound Hashira, who hurried back to report his success, Fang Bo took his time heading toward the Demon Slayer headquarters in a horse-drawn carriage.

There was still plenty of time left, and until the mission deadline, the space wouldn’t force a world-ending event.

Even if they obtained the blue spider lily, figuring out how to lure Muzan was another issue altogether. But those were problems Fang Bo wouldn’t have to deal with for now.

During his journey, he claimed his hidden mission rewards.

[Hidden Mission: Yoshiwara’s Demon Legend (Completed)]

[Calculating results… Generating rewards]

[Based on your contributions, choose two of the following rewards:]

-Option 1: 1000 Story Points

-Option 2: 3 Attribute Points

-Option 3: 6 Merit Points

-Option 4: Ribbon Storage Room

-Option 5: Perfect Restoration Potion (Rare)

Attribute points were a must-have, and without a second thought, he added them all to his constitution.

With his base constitution reaching 12, he was only 7 points away from the world’s maximum limit.

**HP: 210/210 (+90)**

This terrifying amount of health could now rival that of a small boss in the storyline. Only top-tier MTs, with their constitution stacked to the max, could match Fang Bo’s current health level.

As a growth-type talent, *Heart of Steel* was gradually revealing its benefits. If he could successfully awaken it, the percentage boost per world might increase a bit more.

With the essential attribute points selected, it was time to choose the second mission reward.

The *Ribbon Storage Room*, a special item that could store living beings, left Fang Bo puzzled after thinking about its purpose for a while.

In the end, he turned his attention to the *Perfect Restoration Potion*.

There was no question about the value of this item—essentially, it was an extra life. With this, Fang Bo now had two of these potions in his inventory.

“A comforting feeling of safety,” Fang Bo laughed, pleased with his haul.

The rewards from the *Demon Slayer* world were even better than what he got from the *One Piece* world. So far, his imprint space was packed with items ready for sale.

Once he returned to the Reincarnation Space, he could quickly convert them into story points, which would help alleviate his shortage of points.

He planned to craft his Memory Armor and max out several key skills. Fang Bo was confident that, by then, his strength would undergo a significant boost.

But for now, it was time to head back to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters and see what Lord Oyakata-sama had in store.

And maybe pay a visit to some old friends, see if they were interested in any of the items he had.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Muzan had called an emergency meeting in the Infinite Castle.

During the meeting, the Demon King highlighted the common failures among the Upper Moons, stating that they needed to strengthen team-building and focus on reforms, in order to achieve their ultimate goal of annihilating the Demon Slayer Corps.

“Hantengu, Gyokko, Akaza, Gyutaro…” Muzan listed the fallen Upper Moons, his expression unchanging as he gazed ahead. “Tell me, what is the reason for your existence?”

“Apologies, Lord Muzan,” Doma swayed slightly, feigning an appearance of extreme fear, “I didn’t realize Lord Akaza was so weak. If I had known, I would’ve gone instead—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Doma’s limbs were abruptly shattered, and his head appeared in Muzan’s hand.

Staring into Doma’s eyes, Muzan spoke coldly, “Are you saying my leadership is flawed?”

Lacking basic emotions, Doma didn’t even feel much fear towards death. However, he knew one thing—he wasn’t ready to die yet.

“Uh, what I meant was that Lord Akaza failed your expectations. We will make up for his mistake.”

Using the same flattering tone as his followers, Doma barely managed to quell Muzan’s murderous intent.

Muzan squeezed blood from his wrist, distributing it to several individuals below.

“Muzan, you will be the new Upper Moon Three.”

“Kokushibo, Upper Moon Four.”

“And you…”

In the corner of the platform stood a refined man, leaning against the wall with a smile as he watched the scene unfold.

Of all the demons present, only two individuals did not kneel before Muzan: Kokushibo, the strongest among them, and this man.

“The Gourmet,” Muzan said after watching him for a long while. “I hope what you provide is worthwhile.”

“From now on, you are the new Upper Moon Five.”
