Chapter 11: The Accusation

Faced with the main character’s roar, Fang Bo’s response was simple.

Bam!

With one punch, he knocked  Eren to the ground.

This action immediately caused tension among the onlookers, but Commander Pixis simply waved his hand, signaling everyone to wait and see.

“Save your ridiculous weakness,” Fang Bo said coldly. “Do you really think I’d risk a military tribunal just to frame a comrade?”

A single line was enough to shut Eren up.

That’s right—they didn’t really know Jason well, but he didn’t seem like the kind of person who would falsely accuse his own. What would he gain from it?

“No, no way.” Eren shook his head vigorously, realizing he was almost swayed by Fang Bo’s words.

The point wasn’t whether it was a false accusation; it was why those three would kill Marco. If there was no clear motive, then this whole thing smelled fishy.

Perhaps seeing through  Eren’s thoughts, Fang Bo’s tone suddenly turned low as he crouched down, his sharp eyes locking onto the protagonist. ” Eren, you’ve encountered the Colossal Titan more than once, right? Haven’t you ever wondered about how the enemy appears?”

“What… what are you trying to say?”

“That strange golden lightning, and the ability to disappear instantly—isn’t it just like how you transform into a Titan?”

The implication was clear: the Colossal Titan was also human.

Many people present had similar suspicions, so they weren’t too shocked. A few sharp-minded individuals, like Commander Pixis sitting in his chair, had already vaguely guessed what Fang Bo was about to reveal.

“Hey, kid,” Levi took a step forward, his calm eyes hiding turbulent emotions beneath. “You’re not saying that…”

“That’s right,” Fang Bo confirmed with a nod, each word tantalizing everyone’s nerves. “I overheard their conversation from afar and confirmed that Bertholdt is the Colossal Titan and Reiner is the Armored Titan.”

Eren, still on the ground, was so shocked that his brain seemed to overload, leaving him staring at Fang Bo in stunned silence.

“I was about to leave when Marco appeared and admitted to overhearing their conversation.”

“After that, Reiner and Bertholdt attacked Marco, and finally, the new recruit Annie removed his omni-directional mobility gear, leaving him to be trampled by the Titans.”

These words threw everyone in the room into a deadly silence. No one had expected a third Titan to be hiding within the recruit camp.

“Come to think of it, those three seem to be from the same hometown,” a man who looked like an instructor hesitantly added, delivering a heavy blow.

The three arrived together; if two of them were Titans, then the third couldn’t possibly be innocent.

Even if there wasn’t direct evidence, they had to treat the last one as a Titan as well.

Everyone’s faces showed signs of relief—after enduring so much hardship, they had finally identified the enemy Titans. Now, they just needed to organize a capture mission.

However, things would not end so easily.

“Impossible!” Hearing that Annie was also a suspect,  Eren couldn’t sit still any longer. He jumped up, ready to grab Jason by the collar and question him.

The girl who had taught him hand-to-hand combat, the one who always presented herself as a lady while hiding her violent nature under a cold exterior, had a soft heart beneath it all.

Yes,  Eren could feel it, though even he might not fully understand why.

Marco’s death could be set aside for now, but he couldn’t accept Jason’s malicious accusations.

Eren’s sudden outburst caught everyone off guard. Levi instinctively raised his right leg, ready to kick  Eren away the next second.

Levi didn’t trust the boy yet—kicking him aside wasn’t a big deal. If necessary, he wouldn’t hesitate to draw his sword.

But this time, Levi was a step too slow. As soon as he raised his leg, Jason had already drawn his blade and pressed it against  Eren’s neck.

“I’m warning you, you’d better figure out where you stand,” Jason’s cold warning caused  Eren’s rebellious spirit to waver, though his eyes still burned with anger.

At this, Fang Bo suddenly broke into a brilliant smile, though there wasn’t a trace of warmth in it—only undisguised malice.

“You’re even more naive than I thought. Do you really understand who you’re speaking for?”

“Bertholdt is the Colossal Titan, which means it was his hand that destroyed the district of Shiganshina. If I’m not mistaken, your hometown was there, wasn’t it?”

The struggling  Eren froze on the spot, images of the Colossal Titan kicking down the wall flashing through his mind.

And the horrifying memory of his mother being devoured by a Titan.

“That… that person really is…”

“Whether or not it’s true, we’ll find out soon enough.” With that, Fang Bo turned his gaze to a wild-eyed woman standing nearby.

Hange Zoe, one of the squad leaders of the Survey Corps, a famous scientist known for her obsessive research on Titans. Many of the current breakthroughs in Titan studies had come from her efforts. She held the most advanced knowledge about Titans.

Now, having finally captured two Titans, she was determined to study them herself. She might even uncover the truth hidden within their bodies.

“In order to keep their secrets from being exposed, I believe those three will definitely make a move—like secretly killing the captured Titans.”

In fact, that very night, Reiner and Annie had already begun to act. Partly to prevent Hange from discovering the truth about pure Titans, and partly to test Annie’s loyalty to Marley.

During Marco’s murder, Annie had shown great reluctance, so she needed to prove her allegiance through action.

Among the trio, only Bertholdt had not joined in. But Fang Bo had no intention of letting him go.

If he could sever Bertholdt’s spinal nerve with a single strike, he would lose his ability to transform. It wouldn’t be that difficult.

All it would take was finding the nerve in the center of the neck and cutting it along the spinal root.

In simpler terms, it was a matter of stabbing a blade into the neck, which would be enough to kill a Marleyan warrior in human form.

Otherwise, no matter how many limbs were severed, it wouldn’t kill them—it would only speed up their transformation.

For any other reincarnator, even if they had the incredible luck to overhear the trio’s conversation, they would still likely fail the mission.

The probability of death was at least seventy percent. Otherwise, the space wouldn’t have issued such a stern warning.

“Completing this mission is already a one-in-a-million feat. Taking down Bertholdt single-handedly is even more impressive.”

Considering his previous experiences, Fang Bo knew that the rewards were tied directly to his performance during the mission.

If he could single-handedly take down the Colossal Titan, the rewards would be astounding.

It was a gamble worth taking.

Over the next half hour, Commander Pixis began assigning specific tasks. Given Jason’s background as a member of the 104th squad, his special request was granted.

“It’s finally about to begin.”
