GROIKTP Chapter 398

This entry is part 318 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

Time was running out for Chen Ye!

While Storm and Blink were in 1973, working hard to change the fate of mutants and stop the birth of the Sentinel robots, if they succeeded, everything in this timeline would be rewritten.

Chen Ye needed to hunt down enough mutants before they succeeded…

So, he decided to find Magneto and “work” with him.

“At this point in time, Magneto is keeping a low profile, trying to avoid Professor X from discovering his plans. He’s elusive, and finding him won’t be easy…” Chen Ye thought, feeling a bit frustrated.

“It looks like I’ll have to go to Professor X first and take Rogue with me. She’s a crucial part of Magneto’s plan. If I have her, Magneto will come to me!”

Finding Magneto might be difficult, but finding Professor X was simple.

By now, Professor X had already established his school, where he taught mutants to use their powers responsibly for the benefit of society…

It was called “Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters!”

Though it wasn’t very famous yet, it was easy enough to locate if you asked around.

Two hours later.

A taxi arrived in a remote part of the countryside.

“We’re here, sir! This is the place!” the taxi driver said politely.

He suspected that Chen Ye might be a mutant…

Otherwise, why would he come here?

“Thank you!”

Chen Ye paid the fare and stepped out of the taxi. The driver quickly sped off, hitting the gas hard.

Thanks to the government’s smear campaign, mutants had become synonymous with danger!

Ignoring the taxi, Chen Ye looked up and saw the entrance to the academy.

It wasn’t grand, but it had a neat and proper look to it.

Through the gates, he could see a garden inside and a five or six-story building.

Chen Ye couldn’t help but think, “Professor X is pretty well off! This academy might not be huge, but setting it up must have cost at least a few billion.”

Then, Chen Ye confidently walked through the gates.

In the yard, a group of students was playing and having fun.

They ranged in age from near-adults to young children.

As Chen Ye scanned the area, he spotted several familiar faces.

His arrival also caught the attention of the students. Many of them stopped what they were doing, curiously eyeing him.

Chen Ye approached a little girl and smiled as he asked, “Hello, do you know where Anna Marie is? I’m a friend of hers and came to visit.”

The girl, seeing Chen Ye’s friendly smile, let her guard down and pointed in a direction.

“Anna is over there!”

Following the girl’s finger, Chen Ye spotted Rogue sitting on a swing.

Rogue, whose real name was Anna Marie, would one day be known by her much more famous alias, “Rogue.”

But that was in the future.

Right now, Anna was just a timid, teenage girl.

“Thank you!” Chen Ye smiled and waved goodbye to the little girl, then headed toward Rogue.

At that moment, a woman suddenly appeared and blocked his path.

She looked to be in her early thirties, tall and graceful, exuding the mature charm of a confident woman.

“Excuse me, sir. Who are you, and why are you looking for Anna?” the woman asked as she stopped Chen Ye.

Seeing her, Chen Ye’s expression didn’t change, but inwardly, he became alert.

He recognized her immediately from the original story.

Jean Grey!

Also known as “Phoenix!”

She was currently the only Omega-level mutant at the academy.

And the only one who posed a significant threat to Chen Ye.

Inside Jean Grey resided the immense power of the Phoenix Force, which, if unleashed, could disintegrate everything around her into nothingness.

Chen Ye wasn’t sure if his Haki could block the Phoenix Force.

But he suspected it couldn’t!

According to official lore, the Phoenix Force had the power to destroy all matter in the universe, even capable of killing true gods.

Fortunately, Jean Grey hadn’t yet fully mastered the Phoenix Force.

Otherwise, the X-Men would have been unstoppable by now…

Chen Ye smiled and greeted her, “Hello, Ms. Jean Grey.”

Jean was slightly surprised. “You know me?”

“Of course. Your speech at the council last time was unforgettable,” Chen Ye replied.

This had happened in the original story…

Hearing this, Jean said nothing but continued questioning him, “Sir, you still haven’t told me who you are, and why exactly you’re here to see Anna.”

“Oh, I’d like to borrow Anna for a while,” Chen Ye said plainly.

“What?”

Jean’s expression immediately darkened, and she sternly said, “I don’t understand what you mean, but I’m going to have to ask you to leave at once, sir!”

Chen Ye smiled softly. “If you want me to leave, I’m afraid you’ll have to unleash the Phoenix Force inside you.”

With those words, Chen Ye waved his hand.

Instantly!

Jean was lifted off her feet by Chen Ye’s telekinesis and thrown back.

He hadn’t intended to hurt her, so Jean was unscathed.

Seeing Chen Ye suddenly make a move and send Jean flying, the students around them were stunned.

Several of the more timid students immediately screamed in fear.

The commotion quickly drew the attention of the X-Men inside, including Professor X, who was in the middle of teaching a class.

“What’s going on?”

The first to burst out was Scott Summers, also known as “Cyclops.”

Seeing his partner in a disheveled state, Scott rushed over to help Jean.

“Jean? What happened?”

Jean’s gaze remained fixed on Chen Ye.

By now, Chen Ye had already reached Rogue, who looked shocked and confused.

Jean urgently shouted, “He’s trying to take Anna! Stop him!”

Scott and the other X-Men who had come running were momentarily taken aback, then immediately rushed toward Chen Ye.

“Careful! He’s got telekinetic powers, stronger than mine!” Jean warned as she followed them.

Hearing this, everyone tensed up.

But none of them backed down.

In the distance, Chen Ye had already grabbed Rogue, causing her to cry out in fear.

“Hey! Let her go, you jerk!” Wolverine roared angrily.

At this point in time, Wolverine looked much younger, and his temper was even more volatile.

As Wolverine charged at him, Chen Ye said calmly, “Logan, you should really rein in that temper of yours, or you’ll suffer for it one day.”

“Shut up!”

Wolverine leaped into the air, unsheathing his claws as he pounced toward Chen Ye.
