Chiriku watched as Leo perfectly executed all twelve ninja hand seals after being taught just once. He couldn’t help but mutter:

“You truly are a ninja prodigy!”

While it was impressive, Chiriku had seen other geniuses with special bloodlines and abilities who could master chakra extraction quickly. However, seeing someone memorize and flawlessly perform all twelve seals after a single lesson was unprecedented.

At this moment, Chiriku’s perception of Leo wavered slightly.

Initially, he thought the prince’s interest in becoming a ninja was just a fleeting whim. He suspected that once the training became strenuous, Leo would abandon it. Even though Leo had dismissed his servants and performed well in the past two days, Chiriku believed that, given Leo’s age, it would be challenging for him to achieve significant results.

However, the talent Leo displayed now made Chiriku think that if the prince could endure hardship, there might actually be a glimmer of hope for him.

After all, chakra was only part of a ninja’s strength. Despite starting much later than most, Leo’s effort could potentially allow him to catch up.

“Let’s see how it goes,” Chiriku thought.

Thus, his subsequent teachings became more earnest.

“Since you’ve mastered the hand seals so quickly, I will now teach you your first ninjutsu: the Transformation Jutsu.

The Transformation Jutsu requires only one seal, but merely forming the seal correctly isn’t enough to successfully perform the technique. To execute the Transformation Jutsu, you need to control your chakra properly. Chakra flows through your meridians…”

“Goat!”

Following Chiriku’s guidance, Leo formed the hand seal and began to manipulate his chakra.

His figure blurred, seemingly about to change, but within a second, he reverted to normal.

Chiriku, who had been closely watching Leo’s attempt, sighed with relief when he saw the failure.

“It’s okay. Learning ninjutsu requires practice. The more you practice, the better you’ll get. It’s normal to fail the first time.”

If Leo had mastered ninjutsu immediately, Chiriku would have suspected that he had secretly learned ninjutsu before becoming his disciple.

Leo remained calm, knowing his situation well.

He wasn’t a once-in-a-millennium ninja genius. His quick mastery of chakra extraction and hand seals was due to decades of martial arts training.

Ninjutsu primarily involves controlling chakra, something he had never encountered before.

Martial arts focus on muscle control, not the internal energy seen in movies. In this regard, he was no different from a beginner.

If he had an advantage in learning ninjutsu, it was his patience and willpower as someone who had trained rigorously through all seasons. His strong body and mind allowed him to extract more chakra and practice ninjutsu more frequently.

Moreover, his extensive combat experience meant he could devote more time to learning ninjutsu.

A month later, in the training room in the Land of Fire.

“Transform!”

Leo formed the hand seal, instantly transforming into Chiriku’s likeness.

After releasing the transformation, he formed another seal:

“Clone!”

A perfect clone of Leo appeared beside him.

“Substitution!”

After dispelling the clone, he quickly formed the seal for the Substitution Jutsu. His body vanished in a puff of smoke, reappearing five meters away, while a wooden log took his place.

The Transformation Jutsu, Clone Jutsu, and Substitution Jutsu—these basic ninja techniques—had been completely mastered by Leo within a month.

To be honest, even though these were the most basic techniques, they felt incredibly different to him.

Transforming into someone else, creating a perfect clone, or instantly moving five meters away—each was magical and incomprehensible.

This unique experience rekindled a long-dormant feeling within Leo.

It was the same feeling he had when he first encountered martial arts, which had gradually faded over time.

Perhaps this was why he had never broken through to the level of a grandmaster.

Back then, he believed that no matter how hard he trained, he could never surpass the power of modern weapons. He could dodge bullets with his strong body and precise anticipation but couldn’t evade a Gatling gun or withstand a rocket launcher.

It seemed better to earn more money, provide a better life for his family, and ensure better medical care for his master back in the country.

But now, it was different. After only a month in this new world, he had mastered things he could never have achieved in his previous life. The future held countless possibilities.

Beyond ninjutsu, the chakra itself had already significantly enhanced his strength, speed, and other abilities.

Perhaps entering this small world was not just about facing the dangers in the Marvel world but also about his deep desire to break his limits and become stronger.

“Very good. In just one month, you’ve mastered the basic three-body techniques far beyond my expectations,” Chiriku said, watching Leo complete the Substitution Jutsu with a satisfied nod.

In his view, Leo was a genius in chakra extraction and hand seals but not particularly quick in learning ninjutsu. Nevertheless, Leo’s relentless effort was undeniable. Since beginning his ninjutsu training, Leo had spent almost all of his time refining chakra and practicing ninjutsu, showing an incredible dedication that surpassed everyone Chiriku had ever known.

This kind of persistence required not just patience but also the endurance to withstand the physical and mental fatigue that came with chakra depletion.

Because of this, Chiriku’s perception of Leo had genuinely changed. What started as a sense of duty due to Leo’s princely status and his donation had evolved into a true desire to train and support his promising disciple.

With such talent and perseverance, age became less of a barrier. There was real hope for Leo to become a formidable ninja.

“It’s thanks to your excellent guidance, Master.”

With the saying “Respect your teacher as you do your father,” Leo showed utmost respect to Chiriku, even though Chiriku was actually younger than him. Leo never flaunted his status as a prince and always positioned himself as a disciple, further earning Chiriku’s approval
