GROIKTP Chapter 517

This entry is part 439 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

“Master, please guide me in my training!”

“Your body is too weak right now. You need to train it and get stronger… Do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and run 10 kilometers every day.”

“Huh? Such a strict training regime?”

“What’s the matter? Can’t you do it?”

“Master, I can do it for sure… but how long do I need to train for?”

“When all your hair falls out, that’s when you’ll have completed your training!”

“…I understand, Master!”

In the blink of an eye, a week had passed.

Inside a luxurious villa.

Chen Ye was sitting on the sofa, leisurely watching TV.

Meanwhile, Saitama was in the villa’s training room, vigorously working out.

This villa had been bought by Chen Ye for 11 million dollars in full!

After all, Chen Ye didn’t know how long he’d be staying in this world, so he needed a place to stay. Moreover, since he had to train Saitama, he purchased this villa.

Saitama had also moved out of his tiny apartment and into the villa.

Although this was at Chen Ye’s request, Saitama felt deeply touched…

He knew this was his master seeing his difficult situation and offering help!

Indeed, a mentor is like a father!

Grateful for his master’s support, Saitama trained diligently every day, never daring to slack off even a little.

Saitama didn’t want to disappoint his master…

“Phew! So tired! My arms are numb again… But at least, compared to before, I finally finished today’s routine. Now, time for 100 sit-ups!”

Saitama, drenched in sweat, lay down to start his sit-ups.

Sitting on the sofa, Chen Ye glanced at the sweat-drenched Saitama and smiled faintly.

At the same time, Chen Ye couldn’t help but marvel at Saitama’s natural talent as the absolute protagonist of this world!

Over the past week, Chen Ye had witnessed Saitama’s progress firsthand.

When he first started training, Saitama could barely do 30 push-ups.

But now, he was able to complete all the exercises!!

100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10-kilometer run…

For a normal person to go from doing 30 push-ups to 100 would take a year or two of hard training.

Yet Saitama had achieved it in just one week…

Moreover, normal people experience muscle soreness after intense training, but Saitama had never felt any such pain.

His physique was simply otherworldly, an absolute anomaly!

Saitama’s strength was also increasing daily!

Chen Ye had bought a punch strength testing machine for the training room.

At first, Saitama could only punch with a force of 276.

But after a week, Saitama’s punches now measured over 700 in force…

More than doubling his power!!

It was astonishing!

Even Chen Ye couldn’t help but feel a little envious of Saitama’s incredible talent.

It was simply beyond belief.

“Breakfast is ready!”

A cheerful voice called from the kitchen.

It was Skynet, the little loli.

Saitama only knew her as his master’s sister and still had no idea that Skynet was actually an AI robot.

In Saitama’s eyes, his master’s sister was a wonderful girl.

Though she appeared young, she was incredibly smart, responsible, and hardworking. She did all the housework, cooking, cleaning, and organizing the villa impeccably!

If it weren’t for Skynet, with both Chen Ye and Saitama being messy, the villa would be a complete disaster.

“Saitama, take a break from training and come have some food,” Chen Ye said.

Saitama, ever obedient, replied, “Yes, Master.”

The two of them then sat at the dining table to eat breakfast.

As for Skynet, she went off to do other housework.

Saitama had never seen Skynet eat.

This was something that puzzled him…

Of course, he didn’t dare ask too many questions about his master’s sister.

After breakfast, they rested for about half an hour. Suddenly, Chen Ye said, “Saitama, let me spar with you as your training partner to see how your progress has been.”

“Huh!?”

Hearing this, Saitama perked up, “Yes, Master!”

They headed to the training room.

“Saitama, use your full strength and attack me!” Chen Ye ordered.

At first, Saitama worried about hurting his master.

But that thought quickly vanished…

How could he possibly hurt someone as strong as his master?

“Yes, Master! Here I come!”

With that, Saitama rushed at Chen Ye.

“Ha!”

With a loud shout, Saitama threw a punch at Chen Ye.

Although Saitama was already much stronger than a normal person in terms of physical fitness, hitting Chen Ye was still far beyond his capabilities.

With just a casual move, Chen Ye caught Saitama’s fist.

In an instant!

Saitama felt as if he were facing a towering mountain…

The next moment.

A sense of weightlessness overwhelmed him as Saitama was thrown to the ground.

“Boom!”

The impact was not light, causing Saitama to cry out in pain…

Seeing that Chen Ye remained expressionless and silent, Saitama began to worry.

He thought his performance had been terrible and feared that he had disappointed his master…

“Master, I, I…”

Saitama didn’t know what to say and could only lower his head, hoping his master would scold him to relieve his anger.

But there was no reprimand!

Chen Ye still didn’t say a word…

In fact.

Chen Ye was waiting for the system’s notification!

The sparring session with Saitama was just an excuse.

His real goal was to defeat Saitama.

In the *One Punch Man* universe, Saitama was the strongest being.

Though he was still weak now, Saitama would undoubtedly become the ultimate powerhouse in the future.

Chen Ye had hoped to exploit this chance and defeat the weaker version of Saitama to see if the system would count it as completing his third task…

But!

Even after waiting a long time, there was no notification.

Chen Ye felt disappointed…

It seemed that defeating the weaker Saitama from three years ago didn’t count as defeating the strongest being in the system’s evaluation.

“Master? Please don’t be mad at me. I’ll work even harder…” Saitama nervously said.

Chen Ye snapped out of his thoughts.

Though he was disappointed that his plan hadn’t worked, Chen Ye maintained his stern demeanor as a teacher:

“I’m not angry. You’ve only been training for a week, and you’ve already gained great strength. However, you must not slack off from now on. You need to keep working hard, understand?”

Hearing this, Saitama let out a heavy sigh of relief and then shouted, “Yes, Master, I understand!”

Just then.

Skynet came running over.

“Brother, come quickly and watch the news on TV!”

“Oh?”

Chen Ye’s spirits lifted, knowing that the thing he had been waiting for must have finally happened. He immediately rushed to the living room.

Over the past week, although Chen Ye had been training and supervising Saitama, he had instructed Skynet to monitor the news for any developments regarding the wealthy tycoon “Agoni” and to notify him at once if anything came up.

Skynet, being a top-level AI, was an expert at infiltrating networks.

Now that Skynet had come to inform him, it was clear that there was news about Agoni.

Upon arriving in the living room, Chen Ye turned on the TV.

On-screen, a news anchor was addressing the audience: “Breaking news: Billionaire Agoni has announced his decision to fund the establishment of a Hero Association, providing a new platform and organization for those aspiring to fight monsters…”

Chen Ye’s eyes lit up.

After a week of waiting, the Hero Association was finally going to be founded.

In fact.

Chen Ye had considered not waiting for Agoni and simply starting his own Hero Association.

After all, he still had nearly 90 million dollars left in his account!

That amount would be enough to start a fledgling Hero Association.

But Chen Ye had quickly dismissed the idea.

First of all, founding a Hero Association wasn’t just a matter of money. It also required significant influence to gain government cooperation.

That was something Chen Ye didn’t have.

He was just a passerby in this world, and aside from Saitama, barely anyone knew him…

The most important reason was that Chen Ye feared that if he established the Hero Association himself and then appointed himself as the number one S-Class hero, the system might judge it as “cheating”!

If the system didn’t recognize him as the top S-Class hero, it would all backfire.

It was better to wait for Agoni to establish the Hero Association and then show up to become a hero himself.

After a lot of praise, the news anchor finally got to the key point:

“…The official launch date for the Hero Association is June 16th, which is two days from now. Mr. Agoni will donate one of his buildings as the Hero Association’s temporary headquarters. He hopes that all aspiring heroes will join and become official heroes…”

Two days?

Chen Ye said, “Skynet, find out which building Agoni is donating and give me the address.”

“Got it, brother…”

Saitama couldn’t help but ask, “Master, are you planning to join the Hero Association?”

Chen Ye nodded. “Yes.”

“I found it!” Skynet replied. “The building is located at 116 XX Street, City A.”

“Alright, I’ve got it.”

Two days later.

Chen Ye arrived in City A.

Originally, Saitama wanted to come along, but Chen Ye refused.

The reason being that Saitama’s strength wasn’t sufficient yet…

In reality, Chen Ye didn’t want to interfere too much with Saitama’s destiny.

If Saitama joined the Hero Association with him now, would he still be that rookie C-Class hero in three years? Would he still experience all those events?

Using the address provided by Skynet, Chen Ye arrived at the Hero Association building.

By the time Chen Ye arrived, the building was already swarmed with people.

Many aspiring heroes had responded to Agoni’s call and flocked there, hoping to become official heroes.

After all, becoming an official hero came with a salary…

Seeing the building packed to the brim, Chen Ye certainly didn’t plan on waiting in line.

If he lined up, he wouldn’t get in until tomorrow.

So, Chen Ye flew up, soaring over the heads of the crowd.

“Huh? What’s that above… Ah! Someone’s flying!”

“Look! There’s someone flying over us!”

“How impressive…”

The crowd murmured in awe, but there was no panic or chaos.

After all, those aspiring to be heroes typically had some kind of superpower, so this wasn’t too surprising.

Gliding smoothly past the crowd, Chen Ye landed directly at the front of the line.

Seeing him fly over, the crowd respectfully made way.

The staff managing the entrance, upon seeing someone who could fly, dared not slack off.

“Sir, are you here to sign up as a hero?” the lead staff member asked.

Chen Ye replied, “Yes.”

“Then please register first, sir.”

Chen Ye didn’t object and cooperated with the registration process, smoothly entering the building.

In the lobby on the first floor, many people who had already registered were waiting.

Chen Ye ignored them and went straight to a staff member, asking, “Where is Mr. Agoni? I need to meet him.”

The staff member quickly replied, “Sir, please wait a moment. Mr. Agoni will be down shortly.”

Chen Ye nodded and found a place to sit.

After about half an hour.

A group of people emerged from the elevator.

Leading them was an elderly man—Agoni himself.

Behind Agoni were his assistants and bodyguards, and he was holding the hand of a small boy.

A boy with a double chin!

As soon as the boy stepped out, he spotted Chen Ye, and his eyes lit up with joy.

Chen Ye smiled and waved at the kid.

“Grandpa, grandpa… It’s him! The big brother who saved me!”

“Oh?”

Hearing this, Agoni was pleasantly surprised. Following his grandson’s gaze, he saw Chen Ye, who carried an extraordinary presence.

Agoni immediately led his grandson over to Chen Ye.

As soon as they met, Agoni grabbed Chen Ye’s right hand, expressing his gratitude: “Young man, thank you for saving my grandson.”

“There’s no need for thanks,” Chen Ye said, putting on an air of righteous heroism. “As a hero, it’s my duty to stop monsters from harming others!”

Agoni sighed with admiration, “In today’s world, with so many brutal monsters, it’s thanks to heroes like you that many people are able to survive!”

“My motivation for founding the Hero Association is to support heroes like you!”
