GROIKTP Chapter 529

This entry is part 451 of 534 in the series Global Reincarnation: Only i Know the Plot

“Hurry up and start!”

Tatsumaki glanced at Saitama, whose expression was blank, and said irritably, “He’s just a minor character, such a waste of time!”

Hearing this, Chen Ye simply smiled faintly and didn’t bother to refute.

Soon enough, Tatsumaki would realize that his disciple was far from being a mere minor character!

“Let’s begin!”

With Chen Ye’s announcement, the match began.

Everyone quickly retreated, leaving the open space for Saitama and Tatsumaki.

Facing Tatsumaki, Saitama remained completely unfazed, his expression still blank.

At that moment, he was preoccupied with a thought.

That is… Master told me not to kill anyone, but this little brat in front of me looks so weak. Can she even survive one punch from me?

On the other side, Tatsumaki’s voice rang out:

“Hey, baldy, you go first! If I make the first move, you won’t even get a chance to show off!”

Her tone was filled with confidence in herself and disdain for Saitama.

Saitama paid no attention to Tatsumaki and continued standing still, lost in thought.

What if I accidentally kill her with one punch? Would Master blame me?

How about I just use a regular punch?

But what if this little girl can’t even handle that?

Got it! I’ll just punch the air instead.

The wind from the punch shouldn’t kill her, right?

As Saitama pondered this, he was completely unaware that his behavior had already infuriated Tatsumaki.

Tatsumaki was truly angry! She had given this baldy a chance to make the first move, yet he was completely ignoring her!

Since that’s how it is, I’ll have to teach him a lesson!!

With that thought, Tatsumaki began to float in midair, her hair billowing, and her entire body radiating with an ominous energy glow.

Anyone familiar with the original story would know that this was a sign Tatsumaki was about to unleash her psychic powers.

From a distance, Chen Ye watched as Tatsumaki prepared to attack, his expression growing serious.

Saitama could afford to completely ignore Tatsumaki.

As his Master, however, Chen Ye could not.

Even Chen Ye had to admit that Tatsumaki was incredibly powerful.

Tatsumaki’s power came from her telekinesis.

Chen Ye could use telekinesis as well!

But compared to Tatsumaki’s, his telekinesis was nowhere near her level…

“Mr. Mundo, Tatsumaki seems rather upset. Do you think you should step in and save your disciple?” the president’s concerned voice came from beside him.

If it were anyone else, the president wouldn’t have said anything.

But this bald guy was different. His Master was the Hero Association’s ace.

The president was worried that Tatsumaki, in her anger, might go too far and accidentally kill Mundo’s disciple, which would lead to Mundo seeking revenge.

If that happened, it could escalate into a full-blown war!

No matter who came out on top—whether it was Mundo or Tatsumaki—the Hero Association would suffer a great loss.

Both of them were vital pillars of the association. Losing either one would be a disaster.

That’s why the president felt the need to offer a reminder.

Upon hearing the president’s words, Chen Ye smiled slightly. “President, I think you should be more worried about Tatsumaki…”

“Huh?”

The president was startled.

What did Mundo mean by that?

Could his disciple actually be stronger than Tatsumaki?

While the president was lost in his thoughts, the battle had already begun.

Floating midair, Tatsumaki glared down at Saitama.

“You annoying baldy, try this!”

With those words, Tatsumaki waved her small hand downward.

“Boom!”

An invisible force descended from the sky.

In an instant!

The area within a hundred-meter radius of where Saitama stood collapsed violently.

It was as if an invisible hydraulic press was crushing the ground at full power.

In the blink of an eye, the ground where Saitama stood was transformed into a massive crater…

Seeing this, Chen Ye raised an eyebrow in mild surprise.

So Tatsumaki can apply such extensive pressure with pure telekinesis?

In terms of telekinesis, Tatsumaki was indeed formidable!

Standing next to Chen Ye, the president was drenched in cold sweat, utterly terrified by the scene.

It was terrifying!

However…

In the middle of the deep crater, Saitama remained completely unharmed!

In fact, if you looked closely, Saitama’s facial expression hadn’t changed in the slightest.

He still wore that same peculiar blank look.

In the sky, Tatsumaki’s eyes widened slightly in surprise as she realized that her “telekinetic pressure” had no effect on Saitama.

“I see, so that’s why you dared to ignore me. It seems you do have some ability…”

“But! If you think you can look down on me with just this, then you’re gravely mistaken!”

With a quick retort, Tatsumaki made another move!

Raising her hand slightly, countless stones on the ground began to rise.

In no time, a dense mass of stones floated into the air, hovering around Tatsumaki.

Then, with a flick of her hand!

In the next moment!

The stones shot toward Saitama like bullets, raining down on him.

Though this attack didn’t appear as grand as her previous one, it was far deadlier—a lethal move!

Under Tatsumaki’s telekinetic control, each of those stones was as powerful as a high-caliber bullet.

With so many stones attacking like a hail of arrows, they could easily turn someone into a sieve!

“Bang! Bang! Bang!”

The stones, like machine gun bullets, fired down at Saitama from above.

In mere moments, the entire area was shrouded in dust and debris!

That dust cloud was kicked up by the impact of the stones…

From afar.

Witnessing this, the president was trembling in fear.

He imagined if he had been in Saitama’s position, he would have been reduced to nothing but dust by now.

“Mr. Mundo, are you sure your disciple is… alright?” the president couldn’t help but ask.

“Relax, President.” Chen Ye smiled confidently. “This kind of attack can’t possibly harm him!”

The stone barrage lasted for a good ten seconds before gradually coming to a stop.

“It’s over.”

Tatsumaki casually said, ready to move on and challenge Mundo next.

Suddenly, a voice came from within the dust cloud: “Whoa! That was close! I almost ruined my clothes…”

Hearing this voice, Tatsumaki froze, her pupils contracting.

Moments later…

As the dust settled, Saitama’s figure emerged.

Still completely unharmed, still with that strange blank expression…

Seeing Saitama’s vacant gaze, Tatsumaki became furious!

She was enraged!

This baldy had withstood two of her attacks without even so much as damaging his clothes. It felt like a slap to her face!!

“Fine, I see why you’re so confident in challenging me…”

Saitama looked puzzled.

Weren’t you the one challenging me?

“You’re forcing me to do this!”

Tatsumaki suddenly said something strange.

Then, she raised both hands high, as if praying to the heavens.

One minute passed…

Two minutes passed…

Three minutes passed…

But nothing happened!

The onlookers were growing confused, wondering what was going on, when finally, there was a sound from above…

“Whoosh! Whoosh!”

It was the sound of something cutting through the air!

The next moment!

A massive “fireball” appeared in the sky, descending rapidly.

“What… what is that?”

“A meteor? It’s a meteor!!”

“Why is there a meteor?”

“It must be Tatsumaki who summoned it…”

“This will kill us all!!”

The upper-level officials who had come to watch panicked and fled in terror.

Even the president, though standing next to Chen Ye, turned pale and broke out in a cold sweat.

“This is insane, Tatsumaki has lost it! Does she want to kill everyone here?”

The president’s eyes were wide with fear as he stared at the descending meteor.

He didn’t run like the others, not because he was confident, but because he knew that by now, running would be pointless…

With the meteor’s size, when it hit, nothing within a hundred miles would survive!

Even if they managed to run, where would they go?

Once the meteor fell, no matter how far they fled, they would still die!

Suddenly!

The president remembered that he was standing beside the association’s ace and quickly turned to Chen Ye.

“Mr. Mundo, surely you can stop this meteor, right?” the president pleaded in terror. “If it falls, even all of A City will be affected!”

Chen Ye glanced at the rapidly descending meteor and thought for a moment. “I could stop it… but this is my disciple’s test, so I’ll let him handle it.”

The president was initially overjoyed at the first part of the response, but as soon as he heard the rest, his face fell.

“Mr. Mundo, this isn’t a joke! The lives of millions in A City are at stake. Please, you must intervene immediately!”

Chen Ye didn’t respond to the president. Instead, he shouted to Saitama in the distance, “Saitama, don’t let that meteor fall—it could harm a lot of innocent people.”

Hearing his Master’s words, Saitama immediately perked up and shouted back, “Understood, Master!”

When Master speaks, I have to listen!!

Tatsumaki, who had been regretting summoning the meteor and was preparing to stop it with her powers, suddenly became furious again upon hearing their exchange.

The meteor she had summoned was huge—the largest she had ever called down!

Now, even if she wanted to stop it, it would be a struggle!

But these two, the baldy and his Master, were acting like it was no big deal?

Fine then, I won’t do anything!

After all, Tatsumaki was known for her stubbornness. It wasn’t anything new.

“Let’s see how you plan to stop it!” she sneered.

Saitama ignored her.

At that moment, he bent his legs slightly, as if preparing to leap.

The next second.

“Boom!”

There was a sudden explosion beneath his feet!

It was the shockwave from Saitama’s leap, shattering the ground beneath him.

“Boom!”

Saitama shot into the air like a missile, heading straight for the falling meteor.

In no time, he reached the sky, closing in on the massive meteor.

Against the enormous meteor, Saitama looked tiny, like an ant before a tree.

But his expression was full of confidence.

“Master said not to let you fall!”

Staring at the meteor, Saitama’s face turned serious, and he clenched his fist.

His expression changed in an instant, his eyes sharp and focused!!

“Serious Series!”

He threw a punch!

“Boom!”

It was as if a nuclear bomb had gone off in the sky.

An unimaginable explosion erupted in the air…

At that moment, no words could describe the power of that punch!

The clouds in the sky vanished from the shockwave.

If anyone had been watching from space, they would have seen Earth’s atmosphere split in two…

Actually.

Saitama could have shattered the meteor with just a normal punch.

But!

Since Master had spoken, Saitama had to give it his all!!

When Saitama landed back on the ground, the meteor was already gone, vaporized into thin air by his punch.

It was as if it had never existed at all!

The upper-level officials and the president stood frozen, unable to process what had just happened.

Looking at Saitama, who stood like an invincible war god, Tatsumaki was stunned!!

She couldn’t comprehend the sheer terror of his strength.

What kind of power did this man possess?

And what kind of punch was that??

Even Chen Ye had to admit, this bald guy was absurdly powerful!

Ridiculously so!!

The force behind Saitama’s serious punch was something that, even if Chen Ye used his strongest technique, he wouldn’t be able to withstand.

No matter how much he strengthened his abilities, that punch was just too overwhelming…

Chen Ye even wondered what would happen if that punch had hit Earth instead of the meteor.

This bald-headed king of power was truly something else!

After a long silence, no one spoke.

Eventually, Saitama, growing impatient, asked Tatsumaki, “Hey, kid, do you still want to fight?”

Tatsumaki, still in shock, turned to look at Saitama.

Under normal circumstances, anyone who dared to call her a kid would have triggered her wrath.

But now, staring at this strange man, she couldn’t muster any anger, nor did she have the courage to continue fighting…

The strength he displayed was beyond anything she had ever seen.

Even if Mr. Blast himself showed up, he wouldn’t be half as strong as this man…

Instead of answering Saitama’s question, Tatsumaki asked, “Compared to your Master, who’s stronger?”

Without hesitation, Saitama replied, “Obviously my Master! Without his training methods, I’d just be a regular guy!”

Training methods??

Tatsumaki felt like she had just uncovered some earth-shattering secret!

“You’re incredibly strong!”

With that parting remark, Tatsumaki left the field.

However, instead of leaving entirely, she walked toward Chen Ye…

And so, the match ended rather anticlimactically.

Even a blind person could see that Saitama was far stronger than Tatsumaki!!
